II Sử Ký 27
1 Giô-tham được hai mươi lăm tuổi khi người lên ngôi làm vua, và người cai trị mười sáu năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem; mẹ người tên là Giê-ru-sa, con gái của Xa-đốc.
Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jerushah the daughter of Zadok.
2 Người làm điều thiện trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va, y theo mọi điều Ô-xia, cha người, đã làm; song người không vào đền thờ của Ðức Giê-hô-va; còn dân sự lại càng làm luông tuồng nữa.
And he did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that his father Uzziah had done. However he did not enter into the temple of Jehovah. And the people still did corruptly.
3 Người xây cửa trên của đền Ðức Giê-hô-va, và xây nhiều trên tường thành Ô-phên.
He built the upper gate of the house of Jehovah, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.
4 Người cũng xây những thành trong miền núi Giu-đa, và đền đài cùng những tháp ở trên rừng.
Moreover he built cities in the hill-country of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers.
5 Người đánh giặc với vua dân Am-môn, và thắng được chúng. Trong năm đó, dân Am-môn nộp cho người một trăm ta lâng bạc một vạn cô-rơ lúa miến, và một vạn cô-rơ lúc mạch. Trong năm thứ nhì và thứ ba, dân Am-môn cũng tiến cống người số ấy.
Also he fought with the king of the sons of Ammon, and prevailed against them. And the sons of Ammon gave him the same year a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the sons of Ammon render to him, in the second year also, and in the third.
6 Vậy, Giô-tham trở nên cường thạnh, bởi vì người đi đường chánh đáng trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va, là Ðức Chúa Trời mình.
So Jotham became mighty, because he ordered his ways before Jehovah his God.
7 Các công việc khác của Giô-tham, hết thảy những chiến trận và đường lối của người, đều chép trong sách các vua Y-sơ-ra-ên và Giu-đa.
Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
8 Người được hai mươi lăm tuổi khi lên làm vua, và người cai trị mười sáu năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem.
He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.
9 Người an giấc cùng tổ tiên mình, người ta chôn người tại trong thành Ða-vít; đoạn A-cha, con trai người, cai trị thế cho người.
And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David. And Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
