मत्ती 25
1 “उस वक़्त आसमान की बादशाही उन दस कुँवारियों की तरह होगी जो अपनी मशा'लें लेकर दुल्हा के इस्तक़बाल को निकलीं।
“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went out to meet the groom.
2 उन में पाँच बेवक़ूफ़ और पाँच अक़्लमन्द थीं।
Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent.
3 जो बेवक़ूफ़ थीं उन्होंने अपनी मशा'लें तो ले लीं मगर तेल अपने साथ न लिया।
The foolish ones took their lamps, but took no oil with them;
4 मगर अक़्लमन्दों ने अपनी मशा'लों के साथ अपनी कुप्पियों में तेल भी ले लिया।
while the prudent ones, besides taking their lamps, took oil in their jars.
5 और जब दुल्हा ने देर लगाई तो सब ऊँघने लगीं और सो गई।”
As the groom was late in coming, they all became drowsy, and slept.
6 “आधी रात को धूम मची, देखो! दुल्हा आ गया, उसके इस्तक़बाल को निकलो!
But at midnight a shout was raised – ‘The groom is coming! Come out to meet him!’
7 उस वक़्त वो सब कुँवारियाँ उठकर अपनी — अपनी मशा'लों को दुरुस्त करने लगीं।
Then all the bridesmaids woke up and trimmed their lamps,
8 और बेवक़ूफ़ों ने अक़्लमन्दों से कहा, ‘अपने तेल में से कुछ हम को भी दे दो, क्यूँकि हमारी मशा'लें बुझी जाती हैं।’
and the foolish said to the prudent ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
9 'अक़्लमन्दों ने जवाब दिया, शायद हमारे तुम्हारे दोनों के लिए काफ़ी न हो बेहतर; ये है कि बेचने वालों के पास जाकर, अपने लिए मोल ले लो।
But the prudent ones answered ‘No, There may not be enough for you and for us. Go instead to those who sell it, and buy for yourselves.’
10 जब वो मोल लेने जा रही थी, तो दुल्हा आ पहुँचा और जो तैयार थीं, वो उस के साथ शादी के जश्न में अन्दर चली गईं, और दरवाज़ा बन्द हो गया।
But while they were on their way to buy it, the groom came; and the bridesmaids who were ready went in with him to the banquet, and the door was shut.
11 फिर वो बाक़ी कुँवारियाँ भी आईं और कहने लगीं ‘ऐ ख़ुदावन्द ऐ ख़ुदावन्द। हमारे लिए दरवाज़ा खोल दे।’
Afterward the other bridesmaids came. ‘Sir, Sir,’ they said, ‘open the door to us!’
12 उसने जवाब में कहा ‘मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ कि मैं तुम को नहीं जानता।’
But the groom answered ‘I tell you, I do not know you.’
13 पस जागते रहो, क्यूँकि तुम न उस दिन को जानते हो न उस वक़्त को।”
Therefore watch, since you know neither the day nor the hour.
14 “क्यूँकि ये उस आदमी जैसा हाल है, जिसने परदेस जाते वक़्त अपने घर के नौकरों को बुला कर अपना माल उनके सुपुर्द किया।
“For it is as though a man, going on his travels, called his servants, and gave his property into their charge.
15 एक को पाँच चाँदी के सिक्के दिए, दूसरे को दो, और तीसरे को एक या'नी हर एक को उसकी काबलियत के मुताबिक़ दिया और परदेस चला गया।
He gave five bags of gold to one, two to another, and one bag to a third, in proportion to the ability of each. Then he set out on his travels.
16 जिसको पाँच सिक्के मिले थे, उसने फ़ौरन जाकर उनसे लेन देन किया, और पाँच तोड़े और पैदा कर लिए।
The servant who had received the five bags of gold went at once and traded with it, and made another five bags.
17 इसी तरह जिसे दो मिले थे, उसने भी दो और कमाए।
So, too, the servant who had received the two bags of gold made another two bags.
18 मगर जिसको एक मिला था, उसने जाकर ज़मीन खोदी और अपने मालिक का रुपऐ छिपा दिया।”
But the servant who had received the one bag went and dug a hole in the ground, and hid his master’s money.
19 “बड़ी मुद्दत के बाद उन नौकरों का मालिक आया और उनसे हिसाब लेने लगा।
After a long time the master of those servants returned, and settled accounts with them.
20 जिसको पाँच तोड़े मिले थे, वो पाँच सिक्के और लेकर आया, और कहा, ‘ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! तूने पाँच सिक्के मुझे सुपुर्द किए थे; देख, मैंने पाँच सिक्के और कमाए।’
The servant who had received the five bags of gold came up and brought five bags more. ‘Sir,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold; look, I have made another five bags!’
21 उसके मालिक ने उससे कहा, ‘ऐ अच्छे और ईमानदार नौकर शाबाश; तू थोड़े में ईमानदार रहा मैं तुझे बहुत चीज़ों का मुख़्तार बनाऊँगा; अपने मालिक की ख़ुशी में शरीक हो।’”
‘Well done, good, trustworthy servant!’ said his master. ‘You have been trustworthy with a small sum; now I will place a large one in your hands; come and share your master’s joy!’
22 “और जिस को दो सिक्के मिले थे, उस ने भी पास आकर कहा, ‘तूने दो सिक्के मुझे सुपुर्द किए थे, देख मैंने दो सिक्के और कमाए।’
Then the one who had received the two bags of gold came up and said ‘Sir, you entrusted me with two bags pounds; look, I have made another two!’
23 उसके मालिक ने उससे कहा, ‘ऐ अच्छे और दियानतदार नौकर शाबाश; तू थोड़े में ईमानदार रहा मैं तुझे बहुत चीज़ों का मुख़्तार बनाऊँगा; अपने मालिक की ख़ुशी में शरीक हो।’”
‘Well done, good, trustworthy servant!’ said his master. ‘You have been trustworthy with a small sum; now I will place a large one in your hands; come and share your master’s joy!’
24 “और जिसको एक तोड़ा मिला था, वो भी पास आकर कहने लगा, ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! मैं तुझे जानता था, कि तू सख़्त आदमी है, और जहाँ नहीं बोया वहाँ से काटता है, और जहाँ नहीं बिखेरा वहाँ से जमा करता है।
The man who had received the single bag of gold came up, too, and said ‘Sir, I knew that you were a hard man; you reap where you have not sown, and gather up where you have not winnowed;
25 पस मैं डरा और जाकर तेरा तोड़ा ज़मीन में छिपा दिया देख, ‘जो तेरा है वो मौजूद है।’
and, in my fear, I went and hid your money in the ground; look, here is what belongs to you!’
26 उसके मालिक ने जवाब में उससे कहा, 'ऐ शरीर और सुस्त नौकर तू जानता था कि जहाँ मैंने नहीं बोया वहाँ से काटता हूँ, और जहाँ मैंने नहीं बिखेरा वहाँ से जमा करता हूँ;
‘You lazy, worthless servant!’ was his master’s reply. ‘You knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather up where I have not winnowed?
27 पस तुझे लाज़िम था, कि मेरा रुपऐ साहूकारों को देता, तो मैं आकर अपना माल सूद समेत ले लेता।
Then you ought to have placed my money in the hands of bankers, and I, on my return, should have received my money, with interest.
28 पस इससे वो सिक्का ले लो और जिस के पास दस सिक्के हैं‘उसे दे दो।
Therefore,’ he continued, ‘take away from him the one bag of gold, and give it to the one who has the ten bags.
29 क्यूँकि जिस के पास है उसे दिया जाएगा और उस के पास ज़्यादा हो जाएगा, मगर जिस के पास नहीं है उससे वो भी जो उसके पास है, ले लिया जाएगा।
For, to him who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but, as for him who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away from him.
30 और इस निकम्मे नौकर को बाहर अंधेरे में डाल दो, और वहाँ रोना और दाँत पीसना होगा।’”
As for the useless servant, put him out into the darkness outside, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.’
31 “जब इबने आदम अपने जलाल में आएगा, और सब फ़रिश्ते उसके साथ आएँगे; तब वो अपने जलाल के तख़्त पर बैठेगा।
“When the Son of Man has come in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will take his seat on his throne of glory;
32 और सब क़ौमें उस के सामने जमा की जाएँगी। और वो एक को दूसरे से जुदा करेगा।
and all the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people – just as a shepherd separates sheep from goats –
33 और भेड़ों को अपने दाहिने और बकरियों को बाएँ जमा करेगा।
placing the sheep on his right hand, and the goats on his left.
34 उस वक़्त बादशाह अपनी तरफ़ वालों से कहेगा ‘आओ, मेरे बाप के मुबारिक़ लोगो, जो बादशाही दुनिया बनाने से पहले से तुम्हारे लिए तैयार की गई है उसे मीरास में ले लो।
Then the king will say to those on his right ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, enter into possession of the kingdom prepared for you ever since the beginning of the world.
35 क्यूँकि मैं भूखा था, तुमने मुझे खाना खिलाया; मैं प्यासा था, तुमने मुझे पानी पिलाया; मैं परदेसी था तूने मुझे अपने घर में उतारा।
For, when I was hungry, you gave me food; when I was thirsty, you gave me drink; when I was a stranger, you took me to your homes;
36 नंगा था तुमने मुझे कपड़ा पहनाया, बीमार था तुमने मेरी ख़बर ली, मैं क़ैद में था, तुम मेरे पास आए।’”
when I was naked, you clothed me; when I fell ill, you visited me; and when I was in prison, you came to me.’
37 “तब रास्तबाज़ जवाब में उससे कहेंगे, ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, हम ने कब तुझे भूखा देख कर खाना खिलाया, या प्यासा देख कर पानी पिलाया?
Then the righteous will answer ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you? Or thirsty, and give you a drink?
38 हम ने कब तुझे मुसाफ़िर देख कर अपने घर में उतारा? या नंगा देख कर कपड़ा पहनाया।
When did we see you a stranger, and take you to our homes? Or naked, and clothe you?
39 हम कब तुझे बीमार या क़ैद में देख कर तेरे पास आए।
When did we see you ill, or in prison, and come to you?’
40 बादशाह जवाब में उन से कहेगा, ‘मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ कि तुम ने मेरे सब से छोटे भाइयों में से किसी के साथ ये सुलूक किया, तो मेरे ही साथ किया।’
And the king will reply ‘I tell you, as often as you did it to one of these my brothers or sisters, however unimportant they seemed, you did it to me.’
41 फिर वो बाएँ तरफ़ वालों से कहेगा, ‘मला'ऊनो मेरे सामने से उस हमेशा की आग में चले जाओ, जो इब्लीस और उसके फ़रिश्तों के लिए तैयार की गई है। (aiōnios g166)
Then he will say to those on his left ‘Go from my presence, accursed, into the permanent fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels. (aiōnios g166)
42 क्यूँकि, मैं भूखा था, तुमने मुझे खाना न खिलाया, प्यासा था, तुमने मुझे पानी न पिलाया।
For, when I was hungry, you gave me no food; when I was thirsty, you gave me no drink;
43 मुसाफ़िर था, तुम ने मुझे घर में न उतारा नंगा था, तुम ने मुझे कपड़ा न पहनाया, बीमार और क़ैद में था, तुम ने मेरी ख़बर न ली।’”
when I was a stranger, you did not take me to your homes; when I was naked, you did not clothe me; and, when I was ill and in prison, you did not visit me.’
44 “तब वो भी जवाब में कहेंगे, ऐ ख़ुदावन्द हम ने कब तुझे भूखा, या प्यासा, या मुसाफ़िर, या नंगा, या बीमार या क़ैद में देखकर तेरी ख़िदमत न की?
Then they, in their turn, will answer ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or ill, or in prison, and did not supply your wants?’
45 उस वक़्त वो उनसे जवाब में कहेगा, ‘मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ कि जब तुम ने इन सब से छोटों में से किसी के साथ ये सुलूक न किया, तो मेरे साथ न किया।’
And then he will reply ‘I tell you, as often as you failed to do it to one of these, however unimportant, you failed to do it to me.’
