2 Петра 1
1 Симон Петр, слуга і апостол Ісуса Христа, тим, що з нами однаку дорогу віру приняли по правдї Бога нашого і Спаса Ісуса Христа:
Simon Peter, a servant and emissary of Yeshua the Messiah, to those who have obtained a like precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and Saviour, Yeshua the Messiah:
2 благодать вам і впокій нехай умножить ся в познанню Бога й Ісуса, Господа нашого.
Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of God and of Yeshua our Lord,
3 Яко ж усе до життя і побожности дароване нам Божою силою Його, через познаннє Покликавшого нас славою і чеснотою (милостю),
seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue,
4 чим найбільші і дорогі обітницї даровані нам, щоб через них були ви спільниками Божої природи, ухиляючись від тлїнного хотіння, що в сьвітї,
by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.
5 то доложіть до сього усе ваше стараннє, і подайте у вірі вашій чесноту, а в чеснотї розум,
Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge;
6 а в розумі вдержаннє, а у вдержанню терпіннє, а в терпінню побожність,
and in knowledge, self-control; and in self-control, perseverance; and in perseverance, godliness;
7 а в побожності братню любов, а в братній любові любов (для всїх).
and in godliness, brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.
8 Коли бо се буде у вас і умножить ся, то не оставить вас лїнивими, анї безплодними в познаннї Господа нашого Ісуса Христа.
For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to not be idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
9 У кого бо нема сього, той слїпий і коротко видющий, що забув на очищеннє давних своїх гріхів.
For he who lacks these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins.
10 Тим то, брати, старайтесь більше утвердити ваше покликаннє і вибраннє; се бо роблячи, ніколи не спотикнетесь.
Therefore, brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.
11 Так бо щедро дозволить ся вам вхід у вічне царство Господа нашого і Спаса Ісуса Христа. (aiōnios g166)
For thus you will be richly supplied with the entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Saviour, Yeshua the Messiah. (aiōnios g166)
12 Тим і не занехую завсїди пригадувати вам сї речи, хоч ви й знаєте, і утверджені у сїй правдї.
Therefore I will not be negligent to remind you of these things, though you know them and are established in the present truth.
13 Видить ся ж менї право, доки я у сїй оселї, розбуджувати вас у наповіданню;
I think it right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you,
14 знаючи, що скоро оставлю оселю мою, яко ж і Господь наш Ісус Христос обявив менї.
knowing that the putting off of my tent comes swiftly, even as our Lord Yeshua the Messiah made clear to me.
15 Старати му ся ж, щоб ви і всюди, по моєму розстанню, робили спомин сїх річей.
Yes, I will make every effort that you may always be able to remember these things even after my departure.
16 Не за байками бо, хитро придуманими, йдучи, обявили ми вам силу і прихід Господа вашого Ісуса Христа, а бувши самовидцями величчя Його.
For we didn’t follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 Бо Він приняв від Бога Отця честь і славу, коли зійшов до Него од величньої слави такий голос: "Се Син мій любий, що я вподобав Його."
For he received from God the Father honour and glory when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
18 сей голос чули ми, як сходив з неба, бувши з Ним на горі сьвятій.
We heard this voice come out of heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain.
19 Ще ж маємо певнїше слово пророче, і ви добре робите, вважаючи на него, як на сьвітильника, що сьвітить в темному місці, аж День засияє, і денниця зійде в серцях ваших;
We have the more sure word of prophecy; and you do well that you heed it as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts,
20 се найперш знаючи, що жадне книжне пророцтво не дїєть ся своїм розвязаннєм.
knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of private interpretation.
21 Бо ніколи із волі чоловіка не виповідано пророцтво, а від Духа сьвятого розбуджувані, промовляли сьвяті люде Божі.
For no prophecy ever came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit.
