< Yesaia 64 >

1 Ao, sɛ anka wobɛsunsuane ɔsorosoro mu, asiane aba fam a, ɛno na anka mmepɔ no ho bɛpopo wɔ wʼanim!
Oh that you would tear the heavens, that you would come down, that the mountains might quake at your presence,
2 Sɛdeɛ ogya ma mmabaa dɛre na ɛma nsuo huru no, siane bra fam na ma wʼatamfoɔ nhunu wo din na ma amanaman no ho mpopo wɔ wʼanim!
as when fire kindles the brushwood, and the fire causes the waters to boil; to make your name known to your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at your presence.
3 Na ɛberɛ a woyɛɛ nneɛma a ɛyɛ nwanwa a yɛanhwɛ anim no, wosiane baa fam na mmepɔ no ho popoo wɔ wʼanim.
When you did awesome things which we did not look for, you came down, the mountains quaked at your presence.
4 Ɛfiri teteete obiara nteeɛ, ɛntwaa obiara aso mu, ani biara nhunuu Onyankopɔn bi sɛ wo, deɛ ɔdi dwuma ma wɔn a wɔtwɛn no.
Since ancient times no one has heard, and no ear has perceived, and no eye has seen a God besides you, who works for him who waits for him.
5 Woboa wɔn a wɔde anigyeɛ yɛ deɛ ɛtene, wɔn a wɔkae wʼakwan. Nanso yɛkɔɔ so yɛɛ bɔne tiaa wo no, wo bo fuiɛ. Na afei ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na woagye yɛn nkwa?
You meet him who rejoices and works righteousness, those who remember you in your ways. Look, you were angry, and we sinned. We have been in sin for a long time; and shall we be saved?
6 Yɛn nyinaa ayɛ sɛ obi a ne ho nteɛ, na yɛn tenenee nneyɛɛ nyinaa te sɛ ntomago fi; yɛn nyinaa akusa te sɛ ahahan, na yɛn bɔne pra yɛn kɔ te sɛ mframa.
For we have all become as one who is unclean, and all our righteousness is as a polluted garment: and we all fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.
7 Obiara mmɔ wo din, na obiara mpere sɛ ɔbɛso wo mu; ɛfiri sɛ wode wʼanim ahinta yɛn na yɛn bɔne enti woama yɛasɛe.
There is none who calls on your name, who stirs up himself to take hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us, and have consumed us by means of our iniquities.
8 Nanso, Ao Awurade, wo ne yɛn Agya. Yɛyɛ dɔteɛ, na wo ne ɔnwomfoɔ no; yɛn nyinaa yɛ wo nsa ano adwuma.
But now, YHWH, you are our Father, and we are clay, and you are our potter; and we all are the work of your hands.
9 Mma wo bo mfu ntra so, Ao Awurade; nkae yɛn bɔne da biara da. Ao, brɛ wʼani ase hwɛ yɛn, yɛsrɛ wo, ɛfiri sɛ yɛn nyinaa yɛ wo nkurɔfoɔ.
Do not be furious, YHWH, neither remember iniquity forever: see, look, we beg you, we are all your people.
10 Wo nkuropɔn kronkron no adane anweatam; Sion mpo ayɛ anweatam, Yerusalem ada mpan.
Your holy cities have become a wilderness, Zion has become like a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.
11 Yɛn asɔredan kronkron a ɛwɔ animuonyam, faako a yɛn nananom yii wo ayɛ no, wɔde ogya ahye, na deɛ ɛsom bo ma yɛn no, abubu.
Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised you, is burned with fire; and all our pleasant places are laid waste.
12 Yei nyinaa akyi, Ao Awurade wo de wo ho bɛkame yɛn anaa? Wobɛkɔ so ayɛ komm atwe yɛn aso aboro so anaa?
Will you refrain yourself for these things, YHWH? Will you hold your peace, and afflict us very severely?
