1 Afei, Dawid sisii adan bebree wɔ Dawid kurom. Bio, osiesiee baabi, sii ntamadan wɔ hɔ a ɔde Onyankopɔn Apam Adaka no besi.
And [David] made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
2 Afei, ɔhyɛɛ se, “Sɛ yɛma Onyankopɔn Apam Adaka no so de rekɔ a, obiara nni ho kwan sɛ ɔsoa bi gye Lewifo no nko ara. Awurade ayi wɔn sɛ, wɔn nko ara na ɛsɛ sɛ wɔsoa Awurade Apam Adaka no na wɔsom wɔ nʼanim daa daa.”
Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister to him for ever.
3 Dawid frɛɛ Israelfo nyinaa kɔɔ Yerusalem sɛ wɔmfa Apam Adaka no nkosi faako a wɔasiesie ama no no.
And David assembled all Israel to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD to its place, which he had prepared for it.

And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:
5 Wɔn a wofi Kohat abusua mu no, na wɔn dodow yɛ ɔha aduonu a Uriel tua wɔn ano.
Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren a hundred and twenty:
6 Wɔn a wofi Merari abusua mu no, na wɔn dodow yɛ ahannu aduonu, a Asaia da wɔn ano.
Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty:
7 Wɔn a wofi Gersom abusua mu no, na wɔn dodow yɛ ɔha aduasa, a Yoel da wɔn ano.
Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief, and his brethren a hundred and thirty:
8 Na Elisafan asefo yɛ ahannu a Semaia da wɔn ano.
Of the sons of Elizaphan; Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred:
9 Na Hebron asefo yɛ aduɔwɔtwe a Eliel tua wɔn ano.
Of the sons of Hebron; Eliel the chief, and his brethren eighty:
10 Na Usiel asefo yɛ ɔha ne dumien a Aminadab tua wɔn ano.
Of the sons of Uzziel: Amminadab the chief, and his brethren a hundred and twelve.
11 Afei, Dawid frɛɛ asɔfo Sadok ne Abiatar ne saa Lewifo mpanyimfo yi: Uriel, Asaia, Yoel, Semaia, Eliel ne Aminadab.
And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,
12 Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn se, “Mo na moyɛ Lewifo mmusua mu ntuanofo. Mo ne Lewifo a wɔka mo ho nyinaa nnwira mo ho, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a mubetumi de Awurade, Israel Nyankopɔn, Apam Adaka no bɛba beae a masiesie ama no no.
And said to them, Ye [are] the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, [both] ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel to [the place that] I have prepared for it.
13 Esiane sɛ kan no mo Lewifo ansoa Apam Adaka no nti, Awurade, yɛn Nyankopɔn, abufuw sɔre tiaa yɛn. Yɛammisa Onyankopɔn ɔkwan pa a ɛsɛ sɛ yɛfa so soa.”
For because ye [did it] not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
14 Enti asɔfo no ne Lewifo no dwiraa wɔn ho, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wobetumi de Awurade, Israel Nyankopɔn Apam Adaka no akɔ Yerusalem.
So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.
15 Na Lewifo no soaa Onyankopɔn Apam Adaka no wɔ wɔn mmati so a, nnua a wɔde soa no hyehyɛ ho pɛpɛɛpɛ, sɛnea Mose hyɛɛ wɔn no.
And the children of the Levites bore the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staffs on it, as Moses commanded, according to the word of the LORD.
16 Dawid hyɛɛ Lewifo mpanyimfo no nso sɛ wɔntew Lewifo nnwontofo kuw, wɔn a wonim nnwonto, ne wɔn a wɔwɔ nnwonto ho nimdeɛ na wɔmfa mmɛnta, mmɛn, asankuten ne kyɛnkyɛn mmɛto anigye nnwom.
And David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren [to be] the singers with instruments of music, psalteries, and harps, and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.
17 Na Lewifo no yii Yoel babarima Heman, Berekia babarima Asaf ne Kusaia babarima Etan a wofi Merari abusua mu, ma wodii nnwontofo no anim.
So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
18 Woyii saa mmarima yi sɛ wɔn aboafo: Sakaria, Ben, Yaasiel, Semiramot, Yehiel, Uni, Eliab, Benaia, Maaseia, Matitia, Elifelehu, Mikneia ne apon ano ahwɛfo Obed-Edom ne Yeiel.
And with them their brethren of the second [degree], Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, the porters.
19 Woyii Heman, Asaf ne Etan sɛ wɔmmɔ kɔbere mfrafrae kyɛnkyɛn no.
So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, [were appointed] to sound with cymbals of brass;
20 Woyii Sakaria, Asiel, Semiramot, Yehiel, Uni, Eliab, Maaseia ne Benaia sɛ wɔmmɔ mmɛnta no.
And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth;
21 Woyii Matitia, Elifelehu, Miknela, Obed-Edom, Yeiel ne Asasia sɛ wɔmmɔ asankuten no.
And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel.
22 Woyii Kenania a ɔyɛ Lewifo panyin no sɛ ɔnna nnwontokuw no ano, esiane ne nimdeɛ nti.
And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, [was] for song: he instructed about the song, because he [was] skillful.
23 Woyii Berekia ne Elkana sɛ wɔnwɛn Apam Adaka no.
And Berechiah and Elkanah [were] door-keepers for the ark.
24 Sebania, Yosafat, Netanel, Amasai, Sakaria, Benaia ne Elieser a wɔn nyinaa yɛ asɔfo no na wɔbɛto santen adi Onyankopɔn Apam Adaka no anim, ahyɛn ntorobɛnto no. Woyii Obed-Edom ne Yehia sɛ wɔnwɛn Apam Adaka no.
And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-edom and Jehiah [were] door-keepers for the ark.
25 Enti Dawid ne Israel mpanyimfo ne asraafo so asahene no de ahokeka a ɛso bi nni kɔɔ Obed-Edom fi sɛ wɔrekɔfa Awurade Apam Adaka no akɔ Yerusalem.
So David and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the house of Obed-edom with joy.

And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.
27 Wɔhyɛɛ Dawid sirikyi atade fɛfɛ bi. Saa ara na Lewifo a wɔsoaa Apam Adaka no, nnwontofo no ne Kenania a ɔyɛ nnwontofo no kwankyerɛfo no nso yɛe. Na Dawid hyɛ asɔfo nguguso bi nso.
And David [was] clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bore the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also [had] upon him an ephod of linen.
28 Enti Israel nyinaa de ahokeka, osebɔ, mmɛnhyɛn ne ntorobɛntohyɛn, akasaewosow, mmɛnta ne asankutenbɔ de Awurade Apam Adaka no kɔɔ Yerusalem.
Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.
29 Na bere a Awurade Apam Adaka no wuraa Dawid kurow mu no, Saulo babea Mikal too nʼani hwɛɛ fam, fii ne mfɛnsere mu. Bere a ohuu sɛ ɔhene Dawid resaw na ɔde anigye rehuruhuruw no, obuu no animtiaa wɔ ne koma mu.
And it came to pass, [as] the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul, looking out at a window, saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.
