< 2 Beresosɛm 36 >

1 Nnipa a wɔwɔ asase no so no sii Yosia babarima Yehoahas hene wɔ Yerusalem.
Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father's stead in Jerusalem.
2 Bere a Yehoahas dii ade no, na wadi mfirihyia aduonu abiɛsa, nanso odii ade asram abiɛsa pɛ.
Jehoahaz [was] twenty and three years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.
3 Misraimhene Neko a na ɔhwehwɛ sonkahiri a ɛyɛ dwetɛ tɔn abiɛsa ne fa ne sikakɔkɔɔ kilogram aduasa anan afi Yuda no na otuu no ade so.
And the king of Egypt deposed him at Jerusalem, and condemned the land in a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold.
4 Misraimhene yii Yehoahas nuabarima Eliakim sɛ ɔhene foforo ma odii Yuda ne Yerusalem so, na ɔsesaa Eliakim din yɛɛ no Yehoiakim. Na Neko faa Yehoahas dommum de no kɔɔ Misraim.
And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt.
5 Yehoiakim dii ade no, na wadi mfirihyia aduonu anum, na odii hene wɔ Yerusalem mfirihyia dubaako. Nanso ɔyɛɛ bɔne wɔ Awurade, ne Nyankopɔn, ani so.
Jehoiakim [was] twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD his God.
6 Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar kɔtoaa no, kyeree no de nkɔnsɔnkɔnsɔn guu no de no kɔɔ Babilonia.
Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon.
7 Nebukadnessar faa ademude a ɛwɔ Awurade Asɔredan no mu bi, de koguu nʼahemfi wɔ Babilonia.
Nebuchadnezzar also carried of the vessels of the house of the LORD to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.
Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they [are] written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah. And Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
9 Yehoiakyin bedii ade no, na wadi mfirihyia dunwɔtwe, nanso odii ade Yerusalem asram abiɛsa ne nnafua du pɛ. Yehoiakyin yɛɛ bɔne wɔ Awurade ani so.
Jehoiachin [was] eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD.
10 Afe a edi kan wɔ ɔsram a edi kan mu no, ɔhene Nebukadnessar frɛɛ Yehoiakyin sɛ ɔmmra Babilonia. Wɔfaa ademude bebree fii Awurade Asɔredan no mu de kɔɔ Babilonia saa bere no. Na Nebukadnessar yii Yehoiakyin wɔfa Sedekia, sɛ onni hene wɔ Yuda ne Yerusalem.
And when the year had expired, king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.
11 Bere a Sedekia bedii ade no, na wadi mfirihyia aduonu baako, na odii ade wɔ Yerusalem mfirihyia dubaako.
Zedekiah [was] one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.
12 Ɔyɛɛ bɔne wɔ Awurade, ne Nyankopɔn ani so, na wammrɛ ne ho ase wɔ odiyifo Yeremia a na ɔkasa ma Awurade no anim.
And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD his God, [and] humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet [speaking] from the mouth of the LORD.
13 Ɔtew ɔhene Nebukadnessar anim atua wɔ bere a na waka ntam adi nsew wɔ Onyankopɔn din mu sɛ, obedi no nokware. Na Sedekia yɛ kyenkyenee na opirim ne koma na wampɛ sɛ ɔde ne ho bɛbata Awurade, Israel Nyankopɔn ho.
And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning to the LORD God of Israel.
14 Asɔfo no ntuanofo nyinaa ne ɔmanfo no kɔɔ so yɛɛ mmaratofo. Wɔyɛɛ abosonsomfo a wɔwɔ aman a atwa ahyia hɔ no nneyɛe no bi, na woguu Awurade Asɔredan a ɛwɔ Yerusalem no ho fi.
Moreover, all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.
15 Awurade, wɔn agyanom Nyankopɔn, somaa nʼadiyifo sɛ wɔnkɔbɔ wɔn kɔkɔ mpɛn bebree, efisɛ na ɔwɔ ahummɔbɔ ma ne nkurɔfo ne nʼAsɔredan no.
And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling-place:
16 Nanso nnipa no dii saa Onyankopɔn abɔfo no ho fɛw, amfa wɔn nsɛm no anyɛ hwee. Wodii adiyifo no ho fɛw ara kosii sɛ Awurade abufuwhyew turuwii a biribiara antumi annwudwo ano.
But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till [there was] no remedy.
17 Enti Awurade de Babiloniahene ba bɛko tiaa wɔn. Babiloniafo no kunkum Yuda mmea a wɔyɛ mmabun mpo, wɔtaa wɔn kɔɔ Asɔredan no mu a wɔannya ahummɔbɔ amma wɔn. Wokunkum mmofra ne mpanyin, mmarima ne mmea, ahoɔdenfo ne ayarefo. Onyankopɔn de wɔn nyinaa hyɛɛ Nebukadnessar nsa.
Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gave [them] all into his hand.
18 Ɔhene no san sesaw nneɛma no nyinaa, akɛse ne nketewa a na wɔde som wɔ Onyankopɔn Asɔredan mu, ne ademude a na ɛwɔ Awurade Asɔredan no mu ne ahemfi hɔ nyinaa de kɔɔ Babilonia. Ɔde mmapɔmma nyinaa nso kɔe.
And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all [these] he brought to Babylon.
19 Wɔtoo Onyankopɔn Asɔredan no mu gya, bubuu Yerusalem afasu no, hyew ahemfi no nyinaa, sɛee biribiara a ɛwɔ bo no.
And they burnt the house of God, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all its goodly vessels.
20 Nnipa kakra a wɔkae no, wɔsoaa wɔn kɔɔ Babilonia, ma wɔkɔyɛɛ ɔhene no ne ne mmabarima asomfo kosii sɛ Persia ahenni bedii tumi.
And them that had escaped from the sword he carried away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia.
21 Enti Awurade asɛm a wɔfaa Yeremia so kae no baa mu. Afei, asase no nso nyaa nʼahomegye, ɛdaa mpan mfirihyia aduɔson sɛnea odiyifo no kae no.
To fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: [for] as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.
22 Persiahene Kores adedi afe a edi kan mu no, Awurade maa odiyifo Yeremia nkɔmhyɛ no baa mu. Ɔkaa Kores koma ma ɔkyerɛw bɔɔ no dawuru wɔ nʼahenni nyinaa mu se,
Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD [spoken] by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and [put it] also in writing, saying,
23 “Sɛnea Persiahene Kores ka ni: “‘Awurade, ɔsorosoro Nyankopɔn de ahenni a ɛwɔ asase so nyinaa ama me. Wayi me sɛ minsi asɔredan mma no wɔ Yerusalem wɔ Yuda asase so. Mo a moyɛ Awurade nkurɔfo nyinaa, monsan nkɔ Israel nkodi saa dwuma yi. Awurade, mo Nyankopɔn nka mo ho.’”
Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which [is] in Judah. Who [is there] among you of all his people? The LORD his God [be] with him, and let him go up.
