< Fakahā 7 >

1 Pea hili ʻae ngaahi meʻa ni, naʻaku mamata ki he ʻāngelo ʻe toko fā, ʻoku nau tuʻu ʻi he tuliki ʻe fā ʻo māmani, ʻonau puke ʻae matangi ʻe fā ʻo māmani, koeʻuhi ke ʻoua naʻa havili ʻae matangi ki he fonua, pe ki he tahi, pe ki ha ʻakau.
After this, I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, restraining the four winds of the earth, so that no wind should blow over the earth, or over the sea, or against any tree.
2 Pea ne u mamata ki ha ʻāngelo ʻe taha naʻe ʻalu hake mei he potu hahake, kuo ʻiate ia ʻae meʻa fakamaʻu ʻoe ʻOtua moʻui: pea naʻe kalanga ia ʻaki ʻae leʻo lahi ki he ʻāngelo ʻe toko fā, naʻe tuku ki ai ke tautea ʻae fonua mo e tahi,
And, in the east, I saw another angel, ascending, holding the seal of the living God; and he cried in a loud voice to the four angels, to whom there had been given power to harm the earth and the sea –
3 ‌ʻO pehē, “ʻOua naʻa tautea ʻae fonua, pe ko e tahi, pe ko e ngaahi ʻakau, kaeʻoua ke ʻosi ʻemau fakaʻilongaʻi ʻae kau tamaioʻeiki ʻa homau ʻOtua ʻi honau foʻi laʻē.”
‘Do not harm the earth, or the sea, or the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.’
4 Pea ne u fanongo ki hono lau ʻokinautolu naʻe fakaʻilongaʻi: naʻe fakaʻilongaʻi ʻi he ngaahi faʻahinga kotoa pē ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻIsileli, ʻae tokotaha kilu mo e toko fā mano mo e toko fā afe.
I heard, too, the number of those who had been sealed. It was one hundred and forty-four thousand; and they were from every tribe of the Israelites.
5 Naʻe fakaʻilongaʻi ʻi he faʻahinga ʻo Siuta ʻae tokotaha mano mo e toko ua afe. Naʻe fakaʻilongaʻi ʻi he faʻahinga ʻo Lupeni ʻae tokotaha mano mo e toko ua afe naʻe fakaʻilongaʻi ʻi he faʻahinga ʻo Kata ʻae tokotaha mano mo e toko ua afe.
From the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand, from the tribe of Gad twelve thousand,
6 Naʻe fakaʻilongaʻi ʻi he faʻahinga ʻo ʻAsea ʻae tokotaha mano mo e toko ua afe. Naʻe fakaʻilongaʻi ʻi he faʻahinga ʻo Nafitali ʻae tokotaha mano mo e toko ua afe. Naʻe fakaʻilongaʻi ʻi he faʻahinga ʻo Manase ʻae tokotaha mano mo e toko ua afe.
from the tribe of Asher twelve thousand, from the tribe of Napthali twelve thousand, from the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand,
7 Naʻe fakaʻilongaʻi ʻi he faʻahinga ʻo Simione ʻae tokotaha mano mo e toko ua afe. Naʻe fakaʻilongaʻi ʻi he faʻahinga ʻo Livai ʻae tokotaha mano mo e toko ua afe. Naʻe fakaʻilongaʻi ʻi he faʻahinga ʻo ʻIsaka ʻae tokotaha mano mo e toko ua afe.
from the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand, from the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, from the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand,
8 Naʻe fakaʻilongaʻi ʻi he faʻahinga ʻo Sepulone ʻae tokotaha mano mo e toko ua afe. Naʻe fakaʻilongaʻi ʻi he faʻahinga ʻo Siosefa ʻae tokotaha mano mo e toko ua afe. Naʻe fakaʻilongaʻi ʻi he faʻahinga ʻo Penisimani ʻae tokotaha mano mo e toko ua afe.
from the tribe of Zebulon twelve thousand, from the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, from the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.
9 Pea hili eni, naʻaku mamata, pea vakai, ko e fuʻu kakai ʻaia kuo ʻikai faʻa lau ʻe ha taha, mei he puleʻanga, mo e faʻahinga, mo e kakai, mo e lea kotoa pē, naʻa nau tutuʻu ʻi he muʻa nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki, pea ʻi he ʻao ʻoe Lami, kuo nau kofuʻaki ʻae ngaahi kofu hinehina tōtōlofa, mo e vaʻa ponga ʻi honau nima;
After this, in my vision, I saw a vast throng which no one could number, of people from every nation and of all tribes, and peoples, and languages. They stood in front of the throne and in front of the Lamb, robed in white, holding palm branches in their hands.
10 Pea naʻa nau kalanga ʻaki ʻae leʻo lahi, ʻo pehē, “ʻOku mei hotau ʻOtua ʻoku nofo ʻi he nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki, pea mo e Lami, ʻae fakamoʻui.”
And they are crying in a loud voice – ‘Salvation be ascribed to our God who is seated on his throne and to the Lamb.’
11 Pea naʻe tutuʻu takatakai ʻae kau ʻāngelo kotoa pē ʻi he nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki, pea ʻi he kau mātuʻa mo e meʻa moʻui ʻe fā, pea naʻa nau fakafoʻohifo honau mata ʻi he muʻa nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki, ʻo hū ki he ʻOtua,
And all the angels were standing around the throne and the elders and the four creatures, and they prostrated themselves on their faces in front of the throne and worshiped God,
12 ‌ʻonau pehē, “ʻEmeni: Ke ʻi hotau ʻOtua ʻo taʻengata pea taʻengata ʻae fakafetaʻi, mo e ongoongolelei, mo e poto, Mo e fakamālō, mo e fakaʻapaʻapa, mo e māfimafi, mo e mālohi. ʻEmeni.” (aiōn g165)
saying – ‘Amen. Blessing and praise, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might be ascribed to our God for ever and ever. Amen.’ (aiōn g165)
13 Pea naʻe lea ʻae toko taha ʻoe kau mātuʻa, ʻo pehē mai kiate au, “Ko hai ʻakinautolu ni ʻoku teunga ʻaki ʻae ngaahi kofu hinehina tōtōlofa? Pea ʻoku nau haʻu mei fē?”
Then one of the elders turned to me and said ‘Who are these who are robed in white? And where did they come from?’
14 Pea ne u pehē kiate ia, “ʻEiki, heiʻilo koe.” Pea ne pehē mai kiate au, “Ko kinautolu eni naʻe haʻu mei he mamahi lahi, pea kuo nau fō ke hinehina honau kofu tōtōlofa ʻi he taʻataʻa ʻoe Lami.
‘My Lord,’ I answered, ‘it is you who know.’ ‘These,’ he said, ‘are they who come through the Great Persecution; they washed their robes white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Ko ia ai ʻoku nau ʻi he muʻa nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki ʻoe ʻOtua, ʻo tauhi ia ʻi he ʻaho mo e pō ʻi hono fale tapu: pea ko ia ʻoku nofo ʻi he nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki, ʻe nofo ia ʻiate kinautolu.
And therefore it is that they are before the throne of God, and are serving him day and night in his Temple; and he who is seated on the throne will shelter them.
16 ‌ʻE ʻikai te nau toe fiekaia, pe toe fieinua; pea ʻe ʻikai te nau laʻāina, pe puhengia.
Never again will they be hungry, never again will they be thirsty, nor will the sun smite them, nor any scorching heat;
17 He ko e Lami ʻoku ʻi he haʻohaʻonga ʻoe nofoʻa fakaʻeiʻeiki te ne matavai moʻui; pea ʻe holoholo ʻe he ʻOtua ʻae loʻimata kotoa pē mei honau mata.”
for the Lamb that stands in the space before the throne will be their shepherd, and will lead them to life-giving springs of water; and God will wipe away all tears from their eyes.’
