< ʻIsikieli 37 >
1 Naʻe ʻiate au ʻae nima ʻo Sihova, pea ne ʻave au ʻi he laumālie ʻo Sihova, pea naʻe tuku hifo au ʻi he loto teleʻa naʻe fonu ʻi he ngaahi hui,
The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which [was] full of bones,
2 Pea ne puleʻi au ke u ʻalu fakatakamilo ai; pea vakai, naʻe lahi ʻaupito ia ʻi he ʻataʻatā ʻoe teleʻa; pea vakai naʻe mōmoa ʻaupito.
And caused me to pass by them around: and behold, [there were] very many in the open valley; and lo, [they were] very dry.
3 Pea naʻa ne pehē kiate au, “Foha ʻoe tangata, ʻe faʻa moʻui ʻae ngaahi hui ni? Pea naʻaku pehēange, ʻE Sihova ko e ʻOtua, ko koe pe ʻoku ke ʻafioʻi.
And he said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? and I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.
4 Pea ne toe pehē kiate au, “Kikite ki he ngaahi hui ni, pea ke pehē ki ai, ʻE ngaahi hui mōmoa, fanongo mai ki he folofola ʻa Sihova.
Again he said to me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say to them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
5 ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua ki he ngaahi hui ni; Vakai, te u ngaohi ʻae mānava ke hū kiate kimoutolu, pea te mou moʻui:
Thus saith the Lord GOD to these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
6 Pea te u kofuʻaki kimoutolu ʻae uoua, pea te u fakatupu ʻae kakano kiate kimoutolu, mo ʻufiʻufi ʻaki kimoutolu ʻae kili, pea ʻai mo e mānava kiate kimoutolu, pea te mou moʻui; pea te mou ʻilo ko Sihova au.”
And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.
7 Ko ia naʻaku kikite ʻo hangē ko ia naʻe fakahā mai: pea ʻi heʻeku kei lea, naʻe ʻi ai ʻae ʻuʻulu, pea vakai naʻe ngaue, pea fehokotaki ʻae ngaahi hui pea taki taha ki hono hui pe ʻoʻona,
So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.
8 Pea ʻi heʻeku sio, vakai ne tupu mai ki ai ʻae uoua pea mo e kakano, pea ne ʻufiʻufi ʻaki kotoa pē ʻae kili: ka naʻe teʻeki ai ha mānava kiate kinautolu.
And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but [there was] no breath in them.
9 Pea naʻa ne toki pehē mai kiate au, “Kikite ki he matangi, kikite, foha ʻoe tangata, pea ke pehē ki he matangi, ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; ʻae mānava ē! Haʻu mei he feituʻu matangi ʻe fā, pea mānava hifo ki he kau mate na, koeʻuhi ke nau moʻui.
Then said he to me, Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.
10 Ko ia naʻaku kikite ʻo hangē ko ia naʻe fekau mai, pea naʻe hoko mai ʻae mānava kiate kinautolu, pea naʻa nau moʻui, mo tuʻu ki ʻolunga ʻi honau vaʻe, ko e fuʻu kau tau tokolahi ʻaupito.
So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
11 Pea naʻa ne toki pehē mai kiate au, “Foha ʻoe tangata, ko e ngaahi hui na ko e fale kotoa ia ʻo ʻIsileli: vakai, ʻoku nau pehē, Kuo mōmoa hotau hui, pea kuo mole ʻetau ʻamanaki, pea kuo tuʻusi ke motu ʻakitautolu.
Then he said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.
Therefore prophesy and say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
13 Pea te mou ʻilo ko Sihova au, ʻo kau ka fakaava homou ngaahi faʻitoka, ʻE hoku kakai, pea ʻe ʻohake ʻakimoutolu mei homou tanuʻanga,
And ye shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you out of your graves,
And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken [it], and performed [it], saith the LORD.
15 Naʻe toe hoko mai ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova kiate au, ʻo pehē,
The word of the LORD came again to me, saying,
16 “Ko eni foki, ʻa koe foha ʻoe tangata, toʻo kiate koe ha vaʻa ʻakau, pea ke tohi ki ai, ‘Kia Siuta, mo e fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ko ʻene ngaahi kaumeʻa:’ pea ke toʻo ʻae vaʻa ʻakau kehe ʻe taha, pea tohi ki ai, ‘Kia Siosefa, ko e vaʻa ʻakau ʻa ʻIfalemi, mo e fale kotoa ʻo ʻIsileli ko ʻene ngaahi kaumeʻa:’
Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and [for] all the house of Israel his companions:
17 Pea ke hoko fakataha ia ko e vaʻa ʻakau pe taha; pea ʻe hoko ia ʻo taha pe ʻi ho nima.
And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thy hand.
18 Pea ka lea mai kiate koe ʻae fānau ʻa hoʻo kakai, ʻo pehē, ʻE ʻikai te ke fakahā mai pe ko e hā hono ʻuhinga ʻo hoʻo pehē na?
And when the children of thy people shall speak to thee, saying, Wilt thou not show us what thou [meanest] by these?
19 Lea koe kiate kinautolu, ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; Vakai te u toʻo ʻae vaʻa ʻakau ʻa Siosefa, ʻaia ʻoku ʻi he nima ʻo ʻIfalemi, pea mo e ngaahi faʻahinga ʻo ʻIsileli ko ʻene ngaahi kaumeʻa, pea te u ʻai ke fakataha ʻakinautolu mo ia, ʻio, ʻae vaʻa ʻakau ʻa Siuta, ke hoko ʻakinaua ko e vaʻa ʻakau pe taha, pea te na taha pe ʻi hoku nima.
Say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which [is] in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, [even] with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand.
20 Pea ko e ongo vaʻa ʻakau ʻaia naʻa ke tohi ki ai, ʻe ʻi ho nima ia ʻi honau ʻao.”
And the sticks on which thou writest shall be in thy hand before their eyes.
21 Pea ke lea kiate kinautolu, “ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; Vakai, te u toʻo ʻae fānau ʻa ʻIsileli mei he lotolotonga ʻoe hiteni, ʻaia kuo nau ʻalu ki ai, pea te u tānaki ʻakinautolu mei he potu kotoa pē pea ʻe ʻomi ʻakinautolu ki honau fonua ʻonautolu.
And say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they are gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
22 Pea te u ngaohi ʻakinautolu ko e puleʻanga pe taha ʻi he fonua, ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga ʻo ʻIsileli; pea ko e tuʻi pe tokotaha ʻe tuʻi kiate kinautolu kotoa pē; pea ʻe ʻikai kei ua ʻa honau puleʻanga, pea ʻe ʻikai ʻaupito kei vahe kehekehe ʻakinautolu ko e puleʻanga ʻe ua:
And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:
23 Pea ʻe ʻikai te nau toe fakaʻuliʻi ʻaki ʻakinautolu ha ngaahi tamapua, pe ko ʻenau ngaahi meʻa fakalielia, pe ko ʻenau ngaahi angahala: ka te u fakamoʻui ʻakinautolu mei honau ngaahi nofoʻanga, ʻaia kuo nau fai angahala ai, pea ʻe fakamaʻa ʻakinautolu: ʻe pehē pe ʻa ʻenau hoko ko hoku kakai, pea te u hoko ko honau ʻOtua au.
Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling-places, in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
24 Pea ʻe tuʻi kiate kinautolu ʻa ʻeku tamaioʻeiki ko Tevita; pea ʻe ai ʻae tauhi pe taha kiate kinautolu kotoa pē: te nau ʻeveʻeva foki ʻi heʻeku ngaahi tuʻutuʻuni, mo tokanga ki heʻeku ngaahi fekau, ke fai ki ai.
And David my servant [shall be] king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
25 Pea te nau nofo ʻi he fonua, ʻaia kuo u foaki ki heʻeku tamaioʻeiki ko Sēkope, ʻaia naʻe nofo ai ʻa hoʻomou ngaahi tamai; pea te nau nofo ʻi ai, ʻio, ʻakinautolu, mo ʻenau fānau, mo e hako ʻo ʻenau fānau ʻo taʻengata; pea ko ʻeku tamaioʻeiki ko Tevita, ʻe pule ia kiate kinautolu ʻo taʻengata.
And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, in which your fathers have dwelt, and they shall dwell in it, [even] they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David [shall be] their prince for ever.
26 Te u fai foki ha fuakava fakamelino mo kinautolu; ko e fuakava ia mo kinautolu ke taʻengata; pea te u fakanofo ʻakinautolu, mo fakatokolahiʻi ʻakinautolu, pea te u fokotuʻu ʻa hoku fale tapu ʻi honau lotolotonga ke lauikuonga.
Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
27 ʻE ʻiate kinautolu foki ʻa hoku fale fehikitaki: ʻio, te u ʻi ai ko honau ʻOtua au, pea ko hoku kakai ʻakinautolu.
My tabernacle also shall be with them: and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
28 Pea ʻe ʻilo ʻe he hiteni, ko au ko Sihova, ʻoku ou fakamāʻoniʻoniʻi ʻa ʻIsileli, ʻo kau ka tuku ʻa hoku fale tapu ʻi honau lotolotonga, ke lauikuonga.”
And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for ever.
