మత్తయి 25
1 ౧ “పరలోక రాజ్యాన్ని ఈ విధంగా పోల్చవచ్చు. పదిమంది కన్యలు పెళ్ళికొడుకును కలుసుకోడానికి కాగడాలు పట్టుకుని బయలుదేరారు.
Then may the kingdom of heaven be shadowed forth by ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom and bride.
And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
And the foolish took their lamps, but took no oil with them.
But the wise took oil in vessels, with their lamps.
And while the bridegroom delayed, they all became sleepy and fell asleep.
And at midnight there was an outcry: Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 ౮ అయితే తెలివి తక్కువవారు, ‘మా దీపాలు ఆరిపోతున్నాయి, మీ నూనెలో కొంచెం మాక్కూడా ఇస్తారా?’ అని తెలివైన వారిని అడిగారు.
And the foolish said to the wise; Give us of your oil; for, behold, our lamps have gone out.
9 ౯ అందుకు వారు, ‘మా దగ్గర ఉన్న నూనె మన ఇద్దరికీ సరిపోదేమో, మీరు వెళ్ళి నూనె అమ్మేవారి దగ్గర కొనుక్కోండి’ అని చెప్పారు.
The wise answered and said: We must refuse, lest there should not be enough for us and for you: but go ye to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 ౧౦ వారు కొనడానికి వెళ్తూ ఉండగానే పెళ్ళికొడుకు వచ్చేశాడు. అప్పుడు సిద్ధంగా ఉన్న ఐదుగురు యువతులు అతనితో కలిసి పెళ్ళి విందుకు లోపలికి వెళ్ళారు. వెంటనే తలుపు మూశారు.
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready, went with him into the house of the nuptials, and the door was shut.
And at length came also the other virgins, and said: Our lord, our lord, open to us.
But he answered, and said to them: Verily I say to you, I know you not.
Watch, therefore, seeing ye know not the day nor the hour.
14 ౧౪ “పరలోక రాజ్యం ఇలా ఉంటుంది, ఒక మనిషి దూరదేశానికి ప్రయాణమై తన పనివారిని పిలిచి తన ఆస్తిని వారికి అప్పగించాడు.
For, as a man that took a journey, called his servants and delivered to them his property;
15 ౧౫ వారి వారి సామర్ధ్యం ప్రకారం ఒకడికి ఐదు తలాంతులూ ఇంకొకడికి రెండు తలాంతులూ మరొకడికి ఒక్క తలాంతూ ఇచ్చి, వెంటనే ప్రయాణమై వెళ్ళాడు.
to one he gave five talents; to another, two; and to another, one: to each, according to his ability: and he immediately departed.
Then he that received five talents, went and traded with them, and gained five more.
And likewise: the one of two talents, by trading gained two more.
But he that received one, went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
And after a long time, the lord of those servants came, and received account from them.
20 ౨౦ అప్పుడు ఐదు తలాంతులు తీసుకున్న వాడు మరో ఐదు తలాంతులు తెచ్చి ‘అయ్యగారూ, మీరు నాకు ఐదు తలాంతులు ఇచ్చారు కదా, అవి గాక నేను ఇంకో ఐదు తలాంతులు సంపాదించాను’ అని చెప్పాడు.
And he who had received the five talents, came and brought five others; and said, My lord, thou gavest me five talents; behold, I have gained by trading five more to them.
21 ౨౧ అతని యజమాని, ‘ఆహా! నీవు నమ్మకమైన మంచి పనివాడివి! నీవు ఈ చిన్నపాటి విషయంలో నమ్మకంగా ఉన్నావు. కాబట్టి నిన్ను ఎక్కువ పనుల మీద నియమిస్తాను. నీ యజమాని సంతోషంలో నీవు కూడా భాగం పంచుకో’ అన్నాడు.
His lord said to him: Well done! good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful with a little; I will set thee over much: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 ౨౨ అలాగే రెండు తలాంతులు తీసుకున్న వాడు వచ్చి, ‘అయ్యగారూ, మీరు నాకు రెండు తలాంతులు ఇచ్చారు కదా, అవి గాక నేను ఇంకో రెండు తలాంతులు సంపాదించాను’ అని చెప్పాడు.
And he of the two talents came, and said: My lord, thou gavest me two talents; behold, I have by trading gained two more to them.
23 ౨౩ యజమాని, ‘ఆహా! నీవు ఈ చిన్నపాటి విషయంలో నమ్మకంగా ఉన్నావు. కాబట్టి నిన్ను ఎక్కువ పనుల మీద నియమిస్తాను. నీ యజమాని సంతోషంలో నీవు కూడా భాగం పంచుకో’ అన్నాడు.
His lord said to him: Well done! good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful with a little; I will set thee over much: enter thou into the Joy of thy lord.
24 ౨౪ తరువాత ఒక్క తలాంతు తీసుకున్నవాడు వచ్చాడు. అతడన్నాడు, ‘అయ్యగారూ, మీరు విత్తనాలు నాటని చోట పంట కోయడానికీ, వెదజల్లని చోట పంట పోగుచేసుకోడానికీ చూసే కఠినాత్ములని నాకు తెలుసు.
And he also that received the one talent, came and said: My lord, I knew thee, that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou hast not sowed, and gathering where thou hast not scattered;
and I was afraid, and I went and hid thy talent in the earth. Behold, thou hast what is thine.
26 ౨౬ అందుకు ఆ యజమాని అతనితో, ‘నీవు సోమరివాడివి! చెడ్డ దాసుడివి. నేను విత్తని చోట కోసేవాడిని, వెదజల్లని చోట పంట పోగుచేసుకో జూసేవాడిని అని నీకు తెలుసు గదా!
His lord answered, and said to him: Wicked and slothful servant! Thou knewest me, that I reap where I have not sowed, and gather where I have not scattered!
27 ౨౭ అలాంటప్పుడు నీవు నా డబ్బును వడ్డీ వ్యాపారుల దగ్గర ఉంచాల్సింది. అప్పుడు నేను వచ్చి దాన్ని వడ్డీతో కలిపి తీసుకుని ఉండేవాణ్ణి’ అని చెప్పి,
Thou oughtest to have cast my money into the exchange; and I might have come and demanded my property with its interest.
Take therefore the talent from him, and give it to him that hath ten talents.
29 ౨౯ ఉన్న ప్రతివాడికీ మరింత ఇవ్వడం జరుగుతుంది, అతడు సమృద్ధి కలిగి ఉంటాడు. లేని వాడి దగ్గర నుండి వాడికి ఉన్నది కూడా తీసివేయడం జరుగుతుంది.
For, to him that hath, shall be given, and he shall have more; but from him that hath not, even what he hath shall be taken away.
And cast ye the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness: there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
31 ౩౧ “మనుష్య కుమారుడు తన మహిమతో, తన దేవదూతలందరితో వచ్చేటప్పుడు ఆయన తన మహిమ సింహాసనం మీద కూర్చుని ఉంటాడు.
And when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all his holy angels with him, then will he sit upon the throne of his glory.
32 ౩౨ మానవులందరినీ పోగుచేసి ఆయన ముందు నిలబెడతారు. అప్పుడు ఒక గొల్లవాడు తన మందలో మేకలను, గొర్రెలను వేరు చేసినట్టు
And before him will be gathered all nations; and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd severeth the sheep from the goats.
33 ౩౩ ఆయన తన కుడి వైపున ‘గొర్రెలు’ (నీతిపరులు), ఎడమవైపున ‘మేకలు’ (అనీతిపరులు) ఉండేలా వేరు చేసి నిలబెడతాడు.
And he will place the sheep on his right hand, and the goats on his left.
34 ౩౪ తరువాత రాజు తన కుడి వైపున ఉన్నవారిని చూసి, ‘నా తండ్రి ఆశీర్వదించిన వారలారా, రండి. లోకం పునాది వేసినపుడే మీ కోసం సిద్ధపరిచిన రాజ్యాన్ని స్వాధీనం చేసుకోండి.
Then will the king say to those on his right hand: Come, ye blessed of my Father; inherit the kingdom that was prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
35 ౩౫ ఎందుకంటే నాకు ఆకలి వేసినప్పుడు మీరే నాకు భోజనం పెట్టారు. నేను దాహంతో ఉన్నప్పుడు నాకు దాహం తీర్చారు. పరదేశిగా ఉన్నప్పుడు నాకు ఆశ్రయం ఇచ్చారు.
For I was hungry, and ye gave me food; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me home;
36 ౩౬ బట్టలు లేక దిగంబరిగా ఉన్నప్పుడు నాకు బట్టలిచ్చారు. రోగినైనప్పుడు నన్ను పరామర్శించారు. చెరసాల్లో ఉన్నప్పుడు నా దగ్గరికి వచ్చి పలకరించారు’ అని చెబుతాడు.
I was naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came to me.
37 ౩౭ అందుకు నీతిపరులు ‘ప్రభూ, ఎప్పుడు నీకు ఆకలి వేయడం చూసి నీకు భోజనం పెట్టాం? ఎప్పుడు దప్పిగొనడం చూసి దాహం తీర్చాం?
Then will the righteous say to him: Our Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
And when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee home? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 ౩౯ ఎప్పుడు రోగివై ఉండటం, చెరసాలలో ఉండడం చూసి నీ దగ్గరికి వచ్చి పరామర్శించాం?’ అని ఆయనను అడుగుతారు.
And when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came to thee?
40 ౪౦ అందుకు రాజు, ‘మీతో కచ్చితంగా చెప్పేదేమంటే, దీనులైన ఈ నా సోదరుల్లో ఒకడికి ఇది చేస్తే నాకు కూడా చేసినట్టే’ అని వారికి జవాబిస్తాడు.
And the king will answer, and say to them: Verily I Say to you, That inasmuch as ye did so to one of these my little brothers, ye did so to me.
41 ౪౧ “తరవాత ఆయన ఎడమవైపున ఉన్నవారిని చూసి, ‘శాపగ్రస్తులారా, నన్ను విడిచి వెళ్ళండి! సాతానుకు, వాడి దూతలకు సిద్ధం చేసిన నిత్యాగ్నిలోకి వెళ్ళండి. (aiōnios g166)
Then will he say also to them on his left hand: Go from me, ye accursed, into everlasting fire, which was prepared for the Calumniator and his angels, (aiōnios g166)
42 ౪౨ ఎందుకంటే, నాకు ఆకలి వేసినప్పుడు మీరు నాకు భోజనం పెట్టలేదు. నేను దాహంతో ఉన్నప్పుడు నాకు దాహం తీర్చలేదు.
For I was hungry, and ye gave me no food; and I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink;
43 ౪౩ పరదేశిగా ఉన్నప్పుడు నాకు ఆశ్రయం ఇవ్వలేదు, వస్త్రాలు లేక దిగంబరిగా ఉన్నప్పుడు నాకు బట్టలివ్వలేదు. రోగినైనప్పుడు నన్ను పరామర్శించలేదు. చెరసాలలో ఉన్నప్పుడు నా దగ్గరికి వచ్చి పలకరించలేదు’ అని చెబుతాడు.
and I was a stranger, and ye took me not home; and I was naked, and ye clothed me not; and I was sick and in prison, and ye did not visit me.
44 ౪౪ అందుకు వారు కూడా, ‘ప్రభూ, మేమెప్పుడు నీవు ఆకలిగా ఉండటం, దాహంతో ఉండటం, పరదేశిగా ఉండటం, దిగంబరివై ఉండటం, రోగివై ఉండడం చూసి నీకు సహాయం చేయలేదు?’ అని అడుగుతారు.
Then will they also answer and say: Our Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to thee?
45 ౪౫ అందుకు రాజు, ‘మీతో కచ్చితంగా చెప్పేదేమంటే, మీరు దీనులైన నా ఈ సోదరులలో ఒకరికి ఈ విధంగా చేయలేదు కాబట్టి నాకు కూడా చేయనట్టే’ అని వారికి జవాబిస్తాడు.
Then will he answer, and say to them: Verily I say to you, That in as much as ye did not so to one of these little ones, ye did not so to me.
