యోనా 2
Then Jonah prayed to YHWH, his God, out of the fish's belly.
2 ౨ “నా ఆపదలో నేను యెహోవాకు మొర్రపెట్టాను. ఆయన నాకు జవాబిచ్చాడు. మృత్యులోకం నుంచి నేను కేకలు వేస్తే నువ్వు నా స్వరం విన్నావు. (Sheol h7585)
He said, "I called because of my affliction to YHWH. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried. You heard my voice. (Sheol h7585)
3 ౩ నువ్వు నన్ను అగాధంలో, సముద్రగర్భంలో పడవేశావు. ప్రవాహాలు నన్ను చుట్టుకున్నాయి. నీ అలలూ తరంగాలూ నా మీదుగా వెళ్తున్నాయి.
For you threw me into the depths, in the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your breakers and waves passed over me.
I said, 'I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.'
5 ౫ నీళ్ళు నన్ను చుట్టుకోవడంతో నేను కొనప్రాణంతో ఉన్నాను. సముద్రాగాధం నన్ను ఆవరించి ఉంది. సముద్రపు నాచు నా తలకు చుట్టుకుంది.
The waters surrounded me, threatening my life. The deep was around me. The end is upon my head.
6 ౬ నేను మరెన్నటికీ ఎక్కి రాకుండా భూమి గడియలు నన్ను మూసివేశాయి. పర్వతాల పునాదుల్లోకి నేను దిగిపోయాను. నా దేవా, యెహోవా, నువ్వు నా జీవాన్ని అగాధంలో నుంచి పైకి రప్పించావు.
I went down to the bottoms of the mountains. The earth barred me in forever: yet have you brought up my life from the pit, YHWH my God.
7 ౭ నా ప్రాణం నాలో కృశిస్తూ ఉంటే నేను యెహోవాను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకున్నాను. నీ పరిశుద్ధాలయంలోకి నీదగ్గరికి నా ప్రార్థన చేరింది.
"When my soul fainted within me, I remembered YHWH. My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple.
Those who regard worthless things forsake their faithfulness.
9 ౯ నా మట్టుకు నేను కృతజ్ఞతాస్తుతులతో నీకు బలి సమర్పిస్తాను. నేను మొక్కుకున్న దాన్ని తప్పక నెరవేరుస్తాను. యెహోవా దగ్గరే రక్షణ దొరుకుతుంది.”
But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay that which I have vowed. Salvation belongs to YHWH."
YHWH spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land.
