యోబు~ గ్రంథము 21

1 ౧ అప్పుడు యోబు ఇలా జవాబిచ్చాడు.

Then Job answered,

2 ౨ మీరు నా మాటలు శ్రద్ధగా వినండి. నా మాటలు విని నన్ను ఆదరించకపోయినా సరే నా మాటలు వింటే చాలు.

"Listen diligently to my speech. Let this be your consolation.

3 ౩ నాకు అనుమతి ఇస్తే నేను మాట్లాడతాను. నా మాటలు విన్న తరువాత మీరు నన్ను ఎగతాళి చేస్తారేమో.

Allow me, and I also will speak; After I have spoken, mock on.

4 ౪ నేను మనుషులకు విన్నపం చేయడం లేదు. నేనెందుకు ఆత్రుత చెందకూడదు?

As for me, is my complaint to man? Why shouldn't I be impatient?

5 ౫ మీ నోళ్ళపై చేతులు ఉంచుకుని నన్ను పరిశీలించి చూసి ఆశ్చర్యపడండి.

Look at me, and be astonished. Lay your hand on your mouth.

6 ౬ ఈ విషయాలను గురించి తలుచుకుంటే నాకేమీ తోచడం లేదు. నా శరీరమంతా వణికిపోతుంది.

When I remember, I am troubled. Horror takes hold of my flesh.

7 ౭ భక్తిహీనులు ఇంకా ఎలా బతికి ఉన్నారు? వాళ్ళు ముసలివాళ్ళు అవుతున్నా ఇంకా బలంగా ఉంటున్నారెందుకు?

"Why do the wicked live, become old, yes, and grow mighty in power?

8 ౮ వాళ్ళు బతికి ఉండగానే వాళ్ళ సంతానం, వాళ్ళు చూస్తూ ఉండగానే వాళ్ళ కుటుంబాలు చక్కబడుతున్నాయి.

Their child is established with them in their sight, their offspring before their eyes.

9 ౯ వాళ్ళ సంతానానికి ఎలాంటి ఆపదా కలగడం లేదు. వాళ్ళు క్షేమం ఉన్నారు. దేవుని కాపుదల వాళ్ళపై ఉంటుంది.

Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.

10 ౧౦ వాళ్ళ పశువులు దాటితే తప్పకుండా చూలు కలుగుతుంది. ఆవులు తేలికగా ఈనుతున్నాయి, వాటి దూడలు పుట్టగానే చనిపోవడం లేదు.

Their bulls breed without fail. Their cows calve, and do not miscarry.

11 ౧౧ వాళ్ళ పిల్లలు గుంపులు గుంపులుగా బయటికి వస్తారు. వాళ్ళు ఎగురుతూ గంతులు వేస్తారు.

They send forth their little ones like a flock. Their children dance.

12 ౧౨ వాళ్ళు తంబుర, తంతివాద్యం వాయిస్తూ గొంతెత్తి పాటలు పాడుతూ సంతోషిస్తారు.

They sing to the tambourine and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the pipe.

13 ౧౩ వాళ్ళు సుఖంగా తమ రోజులు గడుపుతారు. అయితే ఒక్క క్షణంలోనే పాతాళానికి దిగిపోతారు. (Sheol h7585)

They spend their days in prosperity. In an instant they go down to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)

14 ౧౪ వాళ్ళు “నువ్వు మాకు అక్కరలేదు, నువ్వు బోధించే జ్ఞానయుక్తమైన సంగతులు మేము వినం” అని దేవునితో చెబుతారు.

They tell God, 'Depart from us, for we do not want to know about your ways.

15 ౧౫ “మేము సేవించడానికి సర్వశక్తుడైన ఆయన ఎంతటి వాడు? మేము ఆయనను వేడుకుంటే మాకు ఒరిగే దేమిటి?” అని వాళ్ళు అడుగుతారు.

What is Shaddai, that we should serve him? What profit should we have, if we pray to him?'

16 ౧౬ వారి ఎదుగుదల వాళ్ళ చేతుల్లో లేదు. భక్తిహీనుల తలంపులు నాకు దూరంగా ఉండుగాక.

Look, their prosperity is not in their hand. The counsel of the wicked is far from me.

17 ౧౭ భక్తిహీనుల దీపం ఆరిపోవడం తరచుగా జరుగుతుందా? వాళ్ళ మీదికి విపత్తులు రావడం చాలా అరుదు గదా.

"How often is it that the lamp of the wicked is put out, that their calamity comes on them, that he distributes sorrows in his anger?

18 ౧౮ ఆయన వాళ్ళపై కోపం తెచ్చుకుని వాళ్లకు ఆపదలు కలిగించడం, వాళ్ళను తుఫానుకు కొట్టుకుపోయే చెత్తలాగా, గాలికి ఎగిరిపోయే పొట్టులాగా చేయడం తరచూ జరగదు గదా.

How often is it that they are as stubble before the wind, as chaff that the storm carries away?

19 ౧౯ “వాళ్ళ పాపాలన్నీ వాళ్ళ సంతానం మీద మోపడానికి ఆయన వాటిని దాచి ఉండవచ్చు” అని మీరు అంటున్నారు. పాపం చేసిన వాళ్లే వాటిని అనుభవించేలా ఆయన వారికే ప్రతిఫలమివ్వాలి.

You say, 'God lays up his iniquity for his children.' Let him recompense it to himself, that he may know it.

20 ౨౦ తమ నాశనాన్ని వాళ్ళు స్వయంగా చూడాలి. సర్వశక్తుడైన దేవుని కోపాగ్నిని వారు అనుభవించాలి.

Let his own eyes see his destruction. Let him drink of the wrath of Shaddai.

21 ౨౧ వాళ్ళ జీవితకాలం ముగిసిపోయి, చనిపోయిన తరువాత ఇంటి విషయాల మీద వాళ్లకు శ్రద్ధ ఎలా ఉంటుంది?

For what does he care for his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off?

22 ౨౨ దేవునికి జ్ఞాన వివేకాలు నేర్పించేవాడు ఎవరైనా ఉన్నారా? ఆయన పరలోకంలో ఉండే నీతిమంతులకు తీర్పు తీర్చేవాడు గదా.

"Shall any teach God knowledge, seeing he judges those who are high?

23 ౨౩ ఒకడు సమస్త సుఖాలు అనుభవించి, మంచి ఆరోగ్యం, నెమ్మది కలిగి జీవించి చనిపోతాడు.

One dies in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.

24 ౨౪ అతడి కుండ నిండా పాలు పొర్లుతాయి. అతడి ఎముకలు సత్తువ కలిగి ఉంటాయి.

His pails are full of milk. The marrow of his bones is moistened.

25 ౨౫ మరొకడు ఎన్నడూ సుఖ సంతోషాలు అనేవి తెలియకుండా మనోవేదన గలవాడై చనిపోతాడు.

Another dies in bitterness of soul, and never tastes of good.

26 ౨౬ ఇద్దరినీ సమానంగా ఒకే వరసలో మట్టిలో పాతిపెడతారు. ఇద్దరినీ పురుగులు కప్పివేస్తాయి.

They lie down alike in the dust. The worm covers them.

27 ౨౭ నాకు వ్యతిరేకంగా మీరు పన్నుతున్న కుట్రలు నాకు తెలుసు. మీ మనసులోని ఆలోచనలు నేను గ్రహించాను.

"Look, I know your thoughts, the devices with which you would wrong me.

28 ౨౮ “ఉన్నత వంశస్థుల గృహాలు ఎక్కడ ఉన్నాయి? దుర్మార్గుల నివాసాలు ఎక్కడ ఉన్నాయి?” అని మీరు అడుగుతున్నారు గదా.

For you say, 'Where is the house of the prince? Where is the tent in which the wicked lived?'

29 ౨౯ దేశంలో ప్రయాణాలు చేసే యాత్రికులను మీరు అడగలేకపోయారా? వాళ్ళు చెప్పిన విషయాలు మీరు అర్థం చేసుకోలేకపోయారా?

Haven't you asked wayfaring men? Do you not know their evidences,

30 ౩౦ ఆ విషయాలేమిటంటే, ఆపద కలిగిన రోజున దుర్మార్గులు తప్పించుకుంటారు. ఉగ్రత దిగి వచ్చే రోజున వాళ్ళు దాని నుండి పక్కకు తొలగించబడతారు.

that the evil man is reserved to the day of calamity, That they are led forth to the day of wrath?

31 ౩౧ వాళ్ళ ప్రవర్తన బట్టి వాళ్ళకు ఎదురు నిలిచి మాట్లాడగలిగేది ఎవరు? వారు చేసిన పనులను బట్టి వారికి శిక్ష విధించేవాడు ఎవరు?

Who shall declare his way to his face? Who shall repay him what he has done?

32 ౩౨ వాళ్ళు చనిపోతే సమాధి అవుతారు. ఆ సమాధికి కాపలా ఉంటుంది.

Yet he will be borne to the grave. Men shall keep watch over the tomb.

33 ౩౩ పళ్ళెంలో మట్టి పెంకులు వారికి సుఖం ఇస్తాయి. మనుషులంతా వాళ్ళనే అనుసరిస్తారు. గతంలో లెక్కలేనంతమంది వాళ్లకు ముందు ఇలాగే చేశారు.

The clods of the valley shall be sweet to him. All men shall draw after him, as there were innumerable before him.

34 ౩౪ మీరు చెప్పే జవాబులు నమ్మదగినవిగా లేవు. ఇలాంటి వ్యర్ధమైన మాటలతో మీరు నన్నెలా ఓదార్చాలని చూస్తున్నారు?

So how can you comfort me with nonsense, seeing that in your answers there remains only falsehood?"
