యోబు~ గ్రంథము 20

1 ౧ అప్పుడు నయమాతీయుడు జోఫరు ఇలా జవాబు చెప్పాడు,

Then Zophar the Naamathite answered,

2 ౨ నువ్వు అలా చెప్పినందువల్ల నాలో కలిగిన ఆత్రుత నీకు తగిన జవాబు చెప్పాలని తొందర చేస్తున్నది.

"Therefore do my thoughts give answer to me, even by reason of my haste that is in me.

3 ౩ నన్ను అవమానపరిచే నింద నీ నుండి వినవలసి వచ్చింది గనుక తెలివిగల నా మనసు జవాబు చెప్పేందుకు నన్ను పురిగొల్పుతున్నది.

I have heard the reproof which puts me to shame. The spirit of my understanding answers me.

4 ౪ ఆదిలో మనుషులు భూమి మీద నివసించడం మొదలు పెట్టినప్పటి నుంచి ఇలాగే జరుగుతున్నదని నీకు తెలియదా?

Do you not know this from old time, since humankind was placed on earth,

5 ౫ దుర్మార్గులకు దక్కే విజయం అశాశ్వితం. భక్తిహీనులకు లభించే సంతోషం క్షణకాలం మాత్రం ఉండేది.

that the triumphing of the wicked is short, the joy of the godless but for a moment?

6 ౬ వాళ్ళ గొప్పదనం ఆకాశం కన్నా ఎత్తుగా ఎదిగి, మేఘాల కంటే ఎత్తుగా తలెత్తుకుని తిరగవచ్చు.

Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach to the clouds,

7 ౭ అయితే వాళ్ళ మలం లాగా వాళ్ళు ఎప్పటికీ కనబడకుండా కనుమరుగైపోతారు. అంతకు ముందు వాళ్ళను చూసిన వాళ్ళు “వాళ్ళంతా ఏమయ్యారు?” అని అడుగుతారు.

yet he shall perish forever like his own dung. Those who have seen him shall say, 'Where is he?'

8 ౮ కల లాగా వాళ్ళు కరిగి పోయి మళ్ళీ కనబడకుండా పోతారు. రాత్రివేళ వచ్చే కలలాగా వాళ్ళు చెదరిపోతారు.

He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found. Yes, he shall be chased away like a vision of the night.

9 ౯ వాళ్ళను చూసిన కళ్ళు ఇకపై వాళ్ళను చూడవు. అతని నివాసం అతన్నిక చూడదు.

The eye which saw him shall see him no more, neither shall his place any more see him.

10 ౧౦ వాళ్ళ సంతతి వాళ్ళు కనికరించమని దరిద్రులను వేడుకుంటారు. వారి చేతుల్లో ఉన్న ఆస్తిని తిరిగి ఇచ్చివేస్తారు.

His children shall seek the favor of the poor. His hands shall give back his wealth.

11 ౧౧ వాళ్ళ ఎముకల్లో యవ్వన శక్తి నిండి ఉన్నప్పటికీ అది కూడా వాళ్ళతో కలసి మట్టిలో నిద్రిస్తుంది.

His bones are full of his youth, but youth shall lie down with him in the dust.

12 ౧౨ చెడుతనం వాళ్ళ నోటికి తియ్యగా ఉంది. వాళ్ళ నాలుకల కింద దాన్ని దాచి ఉంచారు.

"Though wickedness is sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue,

13 ౧౩ దాన్ని జాగ్రత్త చేసుకుని తమలోనే ఉంచుకున్నారు. తమ నోట్లోనే భద్రం చేసుకున్నారు.

though he spare it, and will not let it go, but keep it still within his mouth;

14 ౧౪ అయితే వాళ్ళ కడుపులో ఉన్నదంతా పులిసిపోతుంది. వాళ్ళ శరీరంలో అది నాగుపాము విషంగా మారుతుంది.

yet his food in his bowels is turned. It is cobra venom within him.

15 ౧౫ వాళ్ళు దిగమింగిన ధనాన్ని ఇప్పుడు కక్కివేస్తారు. దేవుడే వాళ్ళ కడుపులోనుండి కక్కివేసేలా చేస్తాడు.

He has swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again. God will cast them out of his belly.

16 ౧౬ వాళ్ళు కట్లపాముల విషం లోపలికి పీల్చుకునేవాళ్ళు. నాగుపాము కోరలు వాళ్ళను చంపివేస్తాయి.

He shall suck cobra venom. The viper's tongue shall kill him.

17 ౧౭ తేనెధారలు, వెన్నపూస ఏరులై పారుతున్నప్పటికీ వాళ్ళు సంతోషించరు.

He shall not look at the rivers, the flowing streams of honey and butter.

18 ౧౮ వాళ్ళు సంపాదించిన ఆస్తి మేరకు కష్టాలు పెరుగుతాయి. వాళ్ళు కష్టపడి సంపాదించుకున్నదంతా అనుభవించకుండానే తిరిగి అప్పగిస్తారు.

That for which he labored he shall restore, and shall not swallow it down. According to the substance that he has gotten, he shall not rejoice.

19 ౧౯ వాళ్ళు దరిద్రులపై దాడులు చేసి విడిచిపెట్టినవాళ్ళు. తమవి కాని ఇళ్ళను బలవంతంగా ఆక్రమించుకుంటారు. ఆ ఇళ్ళను కట్టి పూర్తి చేయరు.

For he has oppressed and forsaken the poor. He has violently taken away a house, and he shall not build it up.

20 ౨౦ వాళ్ళు తమ అత్యాశతో సంపాదించుకున్న ఇష్టమైన వస్తువుల్లో ఒక దానితోనైనా తమను తాము కాపాడుకోలేరు.

"Because he knew no quietness within him, he shall not save anything of that in which he delights.

21 ౨౧ వాళ్ళు దిగమింగిన వాటిలో ఏదీ మిగలడం లేదు. అందువల్ల వాళ్ళ క్షేమ స్థితి నిలబడదు.

There was nothing left that he did not devour, therefore his prosperity shall not endure.

22 ౨౨ వాళ్ళు మితిలేని సంపాదన కలిగి ఉన్న రోజుల్లో ఇబ్బందులకు గురౌతారు. ఇబ్బందుల్లో ఉన్నవాళ్ళందరూ వాళ్ళపై దాడి చేస్తారు.

In the fullness of his sufficiency, distress shall overtake him. The hand of everyone who is in misery shall come on him.

23 ౨౩ వాళ్ళు తమ కడుపు నింపుకునే సమయంలో దేవుడు వాళ్ళ మీద తన కోపాగ్ని కురిపిస్తాడు. వాళ్ళు తినే సమయంలోనే అది కురుస్తుంది.

When he is about to fill his belly, he will cast the fierceness of his wrath on him. It will rain on him while he is eating.

24 ౨౪ ఇనప ఆయుధం నుండి తప్పించుకొనేందుకు పారిపోతున్నప్పుడు ఇత్తడి విల్లు నుండి బాణం వాళ్ళ దేహాల్లోకి దూసుకుపోతుంది.

He shall flee from the iron weapon. The bronze arrow shall strike him through.

25 ౨౫ ఆ బాణం వాళ్ళ దేహాలను చీల్చివేసి శరీరం నుండి బయటకు వస్తుంది. దాన్ని బయటకు తీసినప్పుడు కాలేయం తుత్తునియలు అవుతుంది. మరణభయం వాళ్ళ మీదికి వస్తుంది.

He draws it forth, and it comes out of his body. Yes, the glittering point comes out of his liver. Terrors are on him.

26 ౨౬ వాళ్ళ ధన సంపదలు చీకటిమయం అవుతాయి. ఎవ్వరూ రాజేయకుండానే అగ్ని లేచి వాళ్ళను మింగివేస్తుంది. వాళ్ళ గుడారాల్లో మిగిలినదాన్ని అది కాల్చివేస్తుంది.

All darkness is laid up for his treasures. An unfanned fire shall devour him. It shall consume that which is left in his tent.

27 ౨౭ వాళ్ళ దోషాలకు ఆకాశం సాక్షిగా నిలబడుతుంది. భూమి వారిపై తిరగబడుతుంది.

The heavens shall reveal his iniquity. The earth shall rise up against him.

28 ౨౮ వాళ్ళ ఇళ్ళకు చేరిన సంపాదన కనబడకుండా పోతుంది. దేవుని ఉగ్రత దినాన అదంతా నాశనమౌతుంది.

The increase of his house shall depart. They shall rush away in the day of his wrath.

29 ౨౯ దేవుని దగ్గర నుంచి దుష్టులైన మనుషులకు ప్రాప్తించేది ఇదే. దేవుడు వాళ్ళకు నియమించే వారసత్వం ఇదే.

This is the portion of a wicked man from God, the heritage appointed to him by God."
