హొషేయ 10
1 ౧ ఇశ్రాయేలు గుబురుగా పెరిగిన ద్రాక్ష చెట్టుతో సమానం. వారి ఫలం విరగ గాసింది. ఫలించినకొద్దీ వారు బలిపీఠాలను మరి ఎక్కువగా కట్టుకున్నారు. తమ భూమి సారవంతమైన కొద్దీ, వారు తమ దేవతా స్థంభాలను మరి విశేషంగా నిర్మించారు.
Israel is a luxuriant vine, which putteth forth his fruit: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath multiplied his altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly pillars.
2 ౨ వారి హృదయం కపటమైనది, వారు త్వరలోనే తమ అపరాధానికి శిక్ష పొందుతారు. యెహోవా వారి బలిపీఠాలను కూల్చేస్తాడు. వారి దేవతా స్థంభాలను ధ్వంసం చేస్తాడు.
Their heart is divided; now shall they be found guilty: he shall smite their altars, he shall spoil their pillars.
Surely now shall they say, We have no king: for we fear not the LORD; and the king, what can he do for us?
4 ౪ వారు శుష్కప్రియాలు వల్లిస్తారు. అబద్ధ ప్రమాణాలతో ఒప్పందాలు చేస్తారు. అందువలన నాగటి చాళ్లలో విషపు మొక్కలాగా దేశంలో వారి తీర్పులు మొలుస్తున్నాయి.
They speak [vain] words, swearing falsely in making covenants: therefore judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.
5 ౫ బేతావెనులో ఉన్న దూడల విషయమై దాని ప్రజలు భయపడతారు. దాని వైభవం పోయిందని ప్రజలు, సంతోష పడుతూ వచ్చిన దాని అర్చకులు దుఃఖిస్తారు.
The inhabitants of Samaria shall be in terror for the calves of Beth-aven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof that rejoiced over it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.
6 ౬ వారు గొప్ప రాజుకు కానుకగా అష్షూరు దేశంలోకి బందీలుగా వెళ్ళిపోతారు. ఎఫ్రాయిము అవమానం పాలవుతుంది. ఇశ్రాయేలు వారు విగ్రహాల మాటలు విన్నందుకు సిగ్గు పడతారు.
It also shall be carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.
[As for] Samaria, her king is cut off, as foam upon the water.
8 ౮ ఇశ్రాయేలు వారి పాపానికి ప్రతిరూపాలైన ఆవెనులోని ఎత్తయిన పూజా స్థలాలు నాశనం అవుతాయి. వారి బలిపీఠాల మీద ముళ్ళ కంప పెరుగుతుంది. పర్వతాలతో “మమ్మల్ని కప్పండి” అనీ, కొండలను చూసి “మా మీద పడండి” అనీ వారు చెబుతారు.
The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.
9 ౯ ఇశ్రాయేలూ, గిబియా దినాల నుండి నీవు పాపం చేస్తూ వచ్చావు. వారు అక్కడ ఉండిపోయారు. గిబియాలో ఉన్న దుర్మార్గుల మీదికి యుద్ధం ముంచుకు రాలేదా?
O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood; that the battle against the children of iniquity should not overtake them in Gibeah.
10 ౧౦ నేను అనుకున్నప్పుడు వారిని శిక్షిస్తాను. వారు చేసిన రెండింతల దోషక్రియలకు నేను వారిని బంధించినప్పుడు, అన్యప్రజలు సమకూడి వారి మీదికి వస్తారు.
When it is my desire, I will chastise them; and the peoples shall be gathered against them, when they are bound to their two transgressions.
11 ౧౧ ఎఫ్రాయిము కంకులు నూర్చడంలో నైపుణ్యం సంపాదించిన పెయ్య. అయితే దాని నున్నని మెడకు నేను కాడి కడతాను. ఎఫ్రాయిము పొలం దున్నుతాడు. యూదా భూమిని దున్నుతాడు. యాకోబు దాన్ని చదును చేస్తాడు.
And Ephraim is an heifer that is taught, that loveth to tread out [the corn]; but I have passed over upon her fair neck: I will set a rider on Ephraim; Judah shall plow, Jacob shall break his clods.
12 ౧౨ మీ కోసం నీతి విత్తనం వేయండి. నిబంధన విశ్వాస్యత అనే కోత కోయండి. ఇదివరకెప్పుడూ దున్నని బీడుభూమి దున్నండి. ఆయన ప్రత్యక్షమై మీ మీద నీతివర్షం కురిపించే వరకూ, యెహోవాను వెదకడానికి ఇదే అదను.
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
13 ౧౩ నీవు దుర్మార్గం అనే పంటకోసం దుక్కి దున్నావు. పాపమనే కోత కోసుకున్నావు. ఎందుకంటే నీ పథకాలపై ఆధారపడ్డావు. నీకున్న అసంఖ్యాకమైన సైనికులను నమ్ముకున్నావు.
Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: for thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.
14 ౧౪ నీ ప్రజల మధ్య అల్లరి రేగుతుంది. ప్రాకారాలు గల నీ పట్టణాలన్నీ పాడైపోతాయి. షల్మాను రాజు యుద్ధం చేసి బేతర్బేలును పాడు చేసినట్టు అది ఉంటుంది. పిల్లలతో సహా తల్లులను నేలకేసి కొట్టి చంపినట్టు అది ఉంటుంది.
Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Beth-arbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces with her children.
15 ౧౫ ఇలా మీరు చేసిన ఘోరమైన దుష్టక్రియలను బట్టి బేతేలూ, నీకు నాశనం ప్రాప్తిస్తుంది. ప్రాతఃకాలాన ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజును పూర్తిగా నిర్మూలం చేస్తారు.
So shall Beth-el do unto you because of your great wickedness: at daybreak shall the king of Israel be utterly cut off.
