దినవృత్తాంతములు~ రెండవ~ గ్రంథము 33

1 ౧ మనష్షే పరిపాలించడం మొదలుపెట్టినప్పుడు అతని వయసు 12 ఏళ్ళు. అతడు యెరూషలేములో 55 ఏళ్ళు పాలించాడు.

Manasses was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.

2 ౨ ఇతడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దగ్గర నుంచి యెహోవా వెళ్లగొట్టిన రాజ్యాల ప్రజలు చేసిన నీచమైన పనులు అనుసరించి, యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడుగా ప్రవర్తించాడు.

And he did evil before the Lord, according to all the abominations of the nations, which the Lord cast out before the children of Israel:

3 ౩ ఇతడు తన తండ్రియైన హిజ్కియా పడగొట్టిన ఉన్నత స్థలాలను తిరిగి కట్టించి, బయలు దేవతకు బలిపీఠాలను నిలిపి, అషేరా దేవతాస్తంభాలను చేయించి, ఆకాశనక్షత్రాలన్నిటిని పూజించి కొలిచాడు.

And he turned, and built again the high places which Ezechias his father had destroyed: and he built altars to Baalim, and made groves, and he adored all the host of heaven, and worshipped them.

4 ౪ “యెరూషలేములో నా పేరు ఎప్పటికీ ఉంటుంది” అని యెహోవా ఏ స్థలాన్ని ఉద్దేశించి పలికాడో అదే యెహోవా మందిరంలో అతడు అన్య దేవుళ్ళకు బలిపీఠాలను కట్టించాడు.

He built also altars in the house of the Lord, whereof the Lord had said: In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.

5 ౫ యెహోవా మందిరపు రెండు ఆవరణాల్లో అతడు ఆకాశ నక్షత్ర సమూహానికి బలిపీఠాలను కట్టించాడు.

And he built them for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.

6 ౬ బెన్‌ హిన్నోము లోయలో అతడు తన కొడుకులను దహనబలిగా అర్పించాడు. శకునాలు చూడడం, సోదె వినడం చేశాడు. మంత్ర విద్య చేయించాడు. చచ్చినవాళ్ళతో మాట్లాడే వారిని దయ్యాలతో మాట్లాడే వారిని సంప్రదించాడు. యెహోవా దృష్టిలో చాలా చెడ్డగా ప్రవర్తిస్తూ ఆయనకు కోపం పుట్టించాడు.

And he made his sons to pass through the fire in the valley of Benennom: he observed dreams, followed divinations, gave himself up to magic arts, had with him magicians, and enchanters: and he wrought many evils before the Lord, to provoke him to anger.

7 ౭ “ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రాలన్నిటిలో నేను ఎన్నుకున్న యెరూషలేములో నాపేరు ఎల్లప్పుడూ ఉంచుతాను.

He set also a graven, and a molten statue in the house of God, of which God had said to David, and to Solomon his son: In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever.

8 ౮ నేను మోషేద్వారా నియమించిన కట్టడలను విధులను ధర్మశాస్త్రమంతటిని అనుసరించి నడచుకొనడానికి వారు జాగ్రత్తపడితే, మీ పూర్వీకులకు నేను ఏర్పరచిన దేశం నుంచి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను నేను ఇక ఎన్నటికీ తొలగించను” అని దావీదుతో అతని కొడుకు సొలొమోనుతో దేవుడు సెలవిచ్చిన మాటను లక్ష్యపెట్టక, ఆ మందిరంలో తాను చేయించిన అషేరా చెక్కుడు విగ్రహాన్ని నిలిపాడు.

And I will not make the foot of Israel to be removed out of the land which I have delivered to their fathers: yet so if they will take heed to do what I hare commanded them, and all the law, and the ceremonies, and judgments by the hand of Moses.

9 ౯ యూదావారిని యెరూషలేము నివాసులనూ ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల ముందు నుంచి యెహోవా నాశనం చేసిన రాజ్యాలకంటే వారు మరింత దుర్మార్గంగా ప్రవర్తించేలా మనష్షే వారిని నడిపించాడు.

So Manasses seduced Juda, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to do evil beyond all the nations, which the Lord had destroyed before the face of the children of Israel.

10 ౧౦ యెహోవా మనష్షేతో అతని ప్రజలతో మాట్లాడాడు కానీ వారు పట్టించుకోలేదు.

And the Lord spoke to him, and to his people, and they would not hearken.

11 ౧౧ కాబట్టి యెహోవా అష్షూరురాజు సైన్యాధిపతులను వారిమీదికి రప్పించాడు. వారు మనష్షేను పట్టుకుని, గొలుసులతో బంధించి అతణ్ణి బబులోను తీసుకు వెళ్ళారు.

Therefore he brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of the Assyrians: and they took Manasses, and carried him bound with chains and fetters to Babylon.

12 ౧౨ బాధతో అతడు తన దేవుడైన యెహోవాను బతిమాలి, తన పూర్వీకుల దేవుని సన్నిధిలో తన్ను తాను ఎంతో తగ్గించుకున్నాడు.

And after that he was in distress he prayed to the Lord his God: and did penance exceedingly before the God of his fathers.

13 ౧౩ అతడు ప్రార్థన చేసినప్పుడు ఆయన అతని విన్నపాలు ఆలకించి యెరూషలేముకు, అతని రాజ్యానికి అతణ్ణి తిరిగి తీసుకువచ్చాడు. అప్పుడు యెహోవాయే దేవుడని మనష్షే తెలుసుకున్నాడు.

And he entreated him, and besought him earnestly: and he heard his prayer, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom, and Manasses knew that the Lord was God.

14 ౧౪ దీని తరువాత అతడు దావీదు పట్టణం బయట గిహోనుకు పడమరగా, లోయలో చేప గుమ్మం వరకూ ఓపెలు చుట్టూ చాలా ఎత్తయిన గోడ కట్టించాడు. యూదా దేశంలోని బలమైన పట్టణాలన్నిటిలో సేనాధిపతులను ఉంచాడు.

After this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon in the valley, from the entering in of the fish gate round about to Ophel, and raised it up to a great height: and he appointed captains of the army in all the fenced cities of Juda:

15 ౧౫ యెహోవా మందిరం నుంచి అన్యుల దేవతా విగ్రహం తీసివేసి, యెరూషలేములో యెహోవా మందిరం ఉన్న కొండ మీద తాను కట్టించిన బలిపీఠాలన్నిటినీ తీసి పట్టణం బయట పారవేయించాడు.

And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the Lord: the altars also which he had made in the mount of the house of the Lord, and in Jerusalem, and he cast them all out of the city.

16 ౧౬ అతడు యెహోవా బలిపీఠంను బాగుచేసి, దాని మీద సమాధానబలులు, కృతజ్ఞతార్పణలు అర్పిస్తూ, ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవాను సేవించమని యూదా వారికి ఆజ్ఞాపించాడు.

And he repaired the altar of the Lord, and sacrificed upon it victims, and peace offerings, and praise: and he commanded Juda to serve the Lord the God of Israel.

17 ౧౭ అయినా ప్రజలు ఎత్తయిన స్థలాల్లో ఇంకా బలులు అర్పిస్తూనే ఉన్నారు గాని అవి తమ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకే అర్పించారు.

Nevertheless the people still sacrificed in the high places to the Lord their God.

18 ౧౮ మనష్షే గురించిన ఇతర విషయాలు, అతడు దేవునికి చేసిన ప్రార్థన గురించి, ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా పేరట అతనితో పలికిన దీర్ఘ దర్శకుల మాటలను గురించి ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజుల గ్రంథంలో రాసి ఉంది.

But the rest of the acts of Manasses, and his prayer to his God, and the words of the seers that spoke to him in the name of the Lord the God of Israel, are contained in the words of the kings of Israel.

19 ౧౯ అతని ప్రార్థన, దేవునికి ఎలా మొర్రపెట్టాడో, తనను తాను తగ్గించు కొనక ముందు అతని పాపం గురించి, అతడు చేసిన ద్రోహం గురించి, కట్టించిన ఎతైన పూజా స్థలాలూ అషేరాదేవి స్తంభాలు, చెక్కిన విగ్రహాలను నిలపడం గురించి, దీర్ఘదర్శకుడలు రచించిన గ్రంథాల్లో రాసి వుంది.

His prayer also, and his being heard, and all his sins, and contempt, and places wherein he built high places, and set up groves, and statues before he did penance, are written in the words of Hozai.

20 ౨౦ మనష్షే చనిపోయినప్పుడు తన పూర్వీకులతో కూడ తన సొంత భవనంలో అతణ్ణి పాతిపెట్టారు. అతని కొడుకు ఆమోను అతనికి బదులు రాజయ్యాడు.

And Manasses slept with his fathers. and they buried him in his house: and his son Amen reigned in his stead.

21 ౨౧ ఆమోను పరిపాలించడం మొదలుపెట్టినప్పుడు అతడు 22 ఏళ్ల వాడు. అతడు యెరూషలేములో రెండేళ్ళు పాలించాడు.

Amen was two and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem.

22 ౨౨ అతడు తన తండ్రి మనష్షే నడచినట్టు యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడ్డగా ప్రవర్తించాడు. తన తండ్రియైన మనష్షే చేయించిన చెక్కుడు విగ్రహాలన్నిటికీ బలులు అర్పిస్తూ పూజిస్తూ ఉండేవాడు.

And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, as Manasses his father had done: and he sacrificed to all the idols which Manasses his father had made, and served them.

23 ౨౩ తన తండ్రియైన మనష్షేలాగా యెహోవా సన్నిధిలో తనను తాను తగ్గించుకోలేదు. దానికి బదులు ఇంకా ఎక్కువ పాపం చేశాడు.

And he did not humble himself before the Lord, as Manasses his father had humbled himself, but committed far greater sins.

24 ౨౪ అతని సేవకులు అతని మీద కుట్ర చేసి అతని సొంత భవనంలోనే అతణ్ణి చంపేశారు.

And his servants conspired against him, and slew him in his own house.

25 ౨౫ అయితే దేశప్రజలు ఆమోను రాజుమీద కుట్ర చేసిన వారందరినీ చంపి అతని కొడుకు యోషీయాను అతని స్థానంలో రాజుగా నియమించారు.

But the rest of the multitude of the people slew them that had killed Amen, and made Josias his son king in his stead.
