நியாயாதிபதிகள் 6
1 ௧ பின்னும் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்குத் தீமையானதைச் செய்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது யெகோவா அவர்களை ஏழு வருடங்கள் மீதியானியர்களின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்.
Forsothe the sones of Israel diden yuel in the `siyt of the Lord, and he bitook hem in the hond of Madian seuene yeer.
2 ௨ மீதியானியர்களின் கை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் பெலமாக இருந்தபடியால், இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் மீதியானியர்களினால் தங்களுக்கு மலைகளிலுள்ள கெபிகளையும் குகைகளையும் பாதுகாப்பான இடங்களையும் அடைக்கலங்களாக்கிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
And thei weren oppressid of hem greetly; and `thei maden dichis, and dennes to hem silf in hillis, and strongeste places to fiyte ayen.
3 ௩ இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் விதை விதைத்திருக்கும்போது, மீதியானியர்களும் அமலேக்கியர்களும் கிழக்குப்பகுதி மக்களும் அவர்களுக்கு எதிராக எழுந்து வந்து;
And whanne Israel hadde sowe, Madian stiede, and Amalech, and othere of the `naciouns of the eest;
4 ௪ அவர்களுக்கு எதிரே முகாமிட்டு, காசாவின் எல்லைவரை நிலத்தின் விளைச்சலைக் கெடுத்து, இஸ்ரவேலிலே ஆகாரத்தையும், ஆடுமாடுகள் கழுதைகளையும்கூட வைக்காமல் போவார்கள்.
and thei settiden tentis at the sones of Israel, and wastiden alle thingis `as tho weren in eerbis, ethir grene corn, `til to the entryng of Gaza, and outirli thei leften not in Israel ony thing perteynynge to lijf, not scheep, not oxun, not assis.
5 ௫ அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய மிருகஜீவன்களோடும், தங்களுடைய கூடாரங்களோடும், வெட்டுக்கிளிகளைப்போல திரளாக வருவார்கள்; அவர்களும் அவர்களுடைய ஒட்டகங்களும் எண்ணமுடியாததாக இருக்கும்; இப்படியாக தேசத்தைக் கெடுத்துவிட அதிலே வருவார்கள்.
For thei and alle her flockis camen with her tabernaclis, and at the licnesse of locustus thei filliden alle thingis, and a multitude of men and of camels was with out noumbre, and wastiden what euer thing thei touchiden.
6 ௬ இப்படியாக மீதியானியர்களாலே இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் மிகவும் பெலவீனப்பட்டார்கள்; அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் யெகோவாவை நோக்கி முறையிட்டார்கள்.
And Israel was `maad low greetli in the siyt of Madian.
And Israel criede to the Lord, `and axyde help ayens Madianytis; and he sente to hem a man,
8 ௮ யெகோவா ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசியை அவர்களிடம் அனுப்பினார்; அவன் அவர்களை நோக்கி: இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: நான் உங்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து வரவும், அடிமையாக இருந்த வீட்டிலிருந்து புறப்படவும் செய்து,
a profete, and he spak, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Y made you to stie fro Egipt, and Y ledde you out of the hows of seruage,
9 ௯ எகிப்தியர்கள் கைகளிலிருந்தும், உங்களை ஒடுக்கின எல்லோருடைய கைகளிலிருந்தும் உங்களை இரட்சித்து, அவர்களை உங்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்தி, அவர்கள் தேசத்தை உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்து,
and Y delyueride you fro the hond of Egipcians, and of alle enemyes that turmentiden you; and Y castide hem out at youre entryng, and Y yaf to you `the lond of hem;
10 ௧0 நான் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா என்றும், நீங்கள் குடியிருக்கும் அவர்கள் தேசத்திலுள்ள எமோரியர்களுடைய தெய்வங்களுக்குப் பயப்படாமல் இருங்கள் என்றும், உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னேன்; நீங்களோ என்னுடைய சொல்லைக் கேட்காமல் போனீர்கள் என்கிறார் என்று சொன்னான்.
and Y seide, Y am `youre Lord God; drede ye not the goddis of Ammorreis, in whose lond ye dwellen; and ye nolden here my vois.
11 ௧௧ அதற்குப்பின்பு யெகோவாவுடைய தூதனானவர் வந்து, அபியேஸ்ரியனான யோவாசின் ஊராகிய ஒப்ராவிலிருக்கும் ஒரு கர்வாலிமரத்தின்கீழ் உட்கார்ந்தார்; அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய மகன் கிதியோன் கோதுமையை மீதியானியர்களின் கைக்குத் தப்புவிக்க, ஆலைக்கு அருகில் அதைப் போரடித்தான்.
Forsothe an aungel of the Lord cam, and sat undur an ook, that was in Effra, and perteynede to Joas, fadir of the meinee of Ezri. And whanne Gedeon, `his sone, threischide out, and purgide wheetis in a pressour,
that he schulde fle Madian, an aungel of the Lord apperide to hym, and seide, The Lord be with thee, thou strongeste of men.
13 ௧௩ அப்பொழுது கிதியோன் அவரை நோக்கி: ஆ என் ஆண்டவரே, யெகோவா எங்களோடு இருந்தால், இவைகளெல்லாம் எங்களுக்கு ஏன் சம்பவித்தது? யெகோவா எங்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து கொண்டுவரவில்லையா என்று எங்களுடைய பிதாக்கள் எங்களுக்கு விவரித்துச்சொன்ன அவருடைய அற்புதங்களெல்லாம் எங்கே? இப்பொழுது யெகோவா எங்களைக் கைவிட்டு, மீதியானியர்களின் கையில் எங்களை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தாரே என்றான்.
And Gedeon seide to hym, My lord, Y biseche, if the Lord is with vs, whi therfor han alle these yuels take vs? Where ben the merueils of hym, whiche oure fadris telden, and seiden, The Lord ledde vs out of Egipt? `Now forsothe he hath forsake vs, and hath bitake vs in the hond of Madian.
14 ௧௪ அப்பொழுது யெகோவா அவனை நோக்கிப் பார்த்து: உனக்கு இருக்கிற இந்தப் பெலத்தோடு போ; நீ இஸ்ரவேலை மீதியானியர்களின் கைக்கு விலக்கிக் காப்பாற்றுவாய்; உன்னை அனுப்புகிறவர் நான் அல்லவா என்றார்.
And the Lord bihelde to hym, and seide, Go thou in this strengthe of thee, and thou schalt delyuere Israel fro the hond of Madian; wite thou, that Y sente thee.
15 ௧௫ அதற்கு அவன்: ஆ என்னுடைய ஆண்டவரே, நான் இஸ்ரவேலை எதினாலே காப்பாற்றுவேன்; இதோ, மனாசேயில் என்னுடைய குடும்பம் மிகவும் எளியது; என்னுடைய தகப்பன் வீட்டில் நான் எல்லோரிலும் சிறியவன் என்றான்.
Which Gedeon answeride, and seide, My lord, Y biseche, in what thing schal Y delyuere Israel? Lo! my meynee is the loweste in Manasses, and Y am the leeste in the hows of my fadir.
16 ௧௬ அதற்குக் யெகோவா: நான் உன்னோடு இருப்பேன்; ஒரே மனிதனை முறியடிப்பதுபோல நீ மீதியானியர்களை முறியடிப்பாய் என்றார்.
And the Lord seide to hym, Y schal be with thee, and thou schalt smyte Madian as o man.
17 ௧௭ அப்பொழுது அவன்: உம்முடைய கண்களில் இப்பொழுதும் எனக்குத் தயை கிடைத்ததானால் என்னோடே பேசுகிறவர் தேவரீர்தான் என்று எனக்கு ஒரு அடையாளத்தைக் காண்பிக்கவேண்டும்.
And Gedeon seide, If Y haue foundun grace bifor thee, yyue to me a signe, that thou, that spekist to me, art sente of Goddis part;
18 ௧௮ நான் உம்மிடத்திற்கு என்னுடைய காணிக்கையைக் கொண்டுவந்து, உமக்கு முன்பாக வைக்கும் வரை, இந்த இடத்தை விட்டுப்போகாதிருப்பீராக என்றான்; அதற்கு அவர்: நீ திரும்பி வரும்வரை நான் இருப்பேன் என்றார்.
go thou not `awei fro hennus, til Y turne ayen to thee, and brynge sacrifice, and offre to thee. Whiche answeride, Y schal abide thi comyng.
19 ௧௯ உடனே கிதியோன் உள்ளே போய், ஒரு வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டியையும் ஒரு மரக்கால் மாவிலே புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பங்களையும் ஆயத்தப்படுத்தி, இறைச்சியை ஒரு கூடையில் வைத்து, குழம்பை ஒரு கிண்ணத்தில் ஊற்றி, அதை வெளியே கர்வாலி மரத்தின் கீழே இருக்கிற அவரிடம் கொண்டுவந்து வைத்தான்.
And so Gedeon entride, and sethide a kide, and took therf looues of a buyschel of mell, and fleischis in a panyere; and he sente the broth of fleischis in a pot, and bar alle thingis vndur an ook, and offride to hym.
20 ௨0 அப்பொழுது தேவனுடைய தூதனானவர் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ இறைச்சியையும் புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பங்களையும் எடுத்து, இந்தக் கற்பாறையின்மேல் வைத்து குழம்பை ஊற்று என்றார்; அவன் அப்படியே செய்தான்.
To whom the aungel of the Lord seide, Take thou the fleischis, and therf looues, and putte on that stoon, and schede the broth aboue. And whanne he hadde do so,
21 ௨௧ அப்பொழுது யெகோவாவுடைய தூதன் தமது கையிலிருந்த கோலின் நுனியை நீட்டி, இறைச்சியையும் புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பங்களையும் தொட்டார்; அப்பொழுது அக்கினி கற்பாறையிலிருந்து எழும்பி, இறைச்சியையும் புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பங்களையும் எரித்துப்போட்டது; யெகோவாவின் தூதனோ. அவனுடைய கண்களுக்கு மறைந்துபோனார்.
the aungel of the Lord helde forth the `ende of the yerde which he helde in the hond, and he touchide the fleischis, and the therf looues; and fier stiede fro the stoon, and wastide the fleischis, and therf looues. Forsothe the aungel of the Lord vanyschide fro hise iyen.
22 ௨௨ அப்பொழுது கிதியோன், அவர் யெகோவாவுடைய தூதன் என்று அறிந்து: ஐயோ, யெகோவாவாகிய ஆண்டவரே, நான் யெகோவாவுடைய தூதனை முகமுகமாக பார்த்தேனே என்றான்.
And Gedeon siy that he was `an aungel of the Lord, and seide, Lord God, alas to me, for Y siy the aungel of the Lord face to face.
And the Lord seide to hym, Pees be with thee; drede thou not, thou schalt not die.
24 ௨௪ அங்கே கிதியோன் யெகோவாவுக்கு ஒரு பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டி, அதற்கு யெகோவா ஷாலோம் என்று பெயரிட்டான்; அது இந்த நாள்வரைக்கும் அபியேஸ்ரியரின் ஊராகிய ஒப்ராவில் இருக்கிறது.
Therfor Gedeon bildide there an auter to the Lord, and he clepide it the Pees of the Lord, `til in to present dai. And whanne he was yit in Effra, which is of the meynee of Ezri, the Lord seide to hym in that nyyt,
25 ௨௫ அன்று இரவிலே யெகோவா அவனை நோக்கி: நீ உன்னுடைய தகப்பனுக்கு இருக்கிற காளைகளில் ஏழுவயதான இரண்டாம் காளையைக் கொண்டுபோய், உன்னுடைய தகப்பனுக்கு இருக்கிற பாகாலின் பலிபீடத்தைத் தகர்த்து, அதின் அருகிலுள்ள தோப்பை வெட்டிப்போட்டு.
Take thou `the bole of thy fadir, and anothir bole of seuene yeer, and thou schalt distrie the auter of Baal, which is thi fadris, and kitte thou doun the wode, which is aboute the auter;
26 ௨௬ இந்தக் கற்பாறையின் உச்சியிலே சரியான ஒரு இடத்தில் உன் யெகோவாவுடைய யெகோவாவுக்கு ஒரு பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டி, அந்த இரண்டாம் காளையைக் கொண்டு வந்து, அதை நீ வெட்டிப்போட்ட தோப்பினுடைய கட்டை விறகுகளின் மேல் சர்வாங்க தகனமாகப் பலியிடவேண்டும் என்றார்.
and thou schalt bilde an auter to thi Lord God in the hiynesse of this stoon, on which thou puttidist sacrifice bifore; and thou schalt take the secounde bole, and thou schalt offre brent sacrifice on the heep of trees, whiche thou kittidist doun of the wode.
27 ௨௭ அப்பொழுது கிதியோன், தன்னுடைய வேலையாட்களில் பத்துப்பேரைச் சேர்த்து, யெகோவா தனக்குச் சொன்னபடியே செய்தான்; அவன் தன்னுடைய தகப்பன் குடும்பத்தாருக்கும் அந்த ஊர் மனிதர்களுக்கும் பயந்ததினாலே, அதைப் பகலிலே செய்யாமல், இரவிலே செய்தான்.
Therfore Gedeon took ten men of hise seruauntis, and dide as the Lord comaundide to hym. Sotheli Gedeon dredde the hows of his fadir, and the men of that citee, and nolde do bi dai, but fillide alle thingis bi nyyt.
28 ௨௮ அந்த ஊர் மனிதர்கள் காலையில் எழுந்தபோது, இதோ, பாகாலின் பலிபீடம் தகர்க்கப்பட்டும், அதின் அருகிலியிருந்த தோப்பு வெட்டிப்போடப்பட்டும், கட்டப்பட்டிருந்த பலிபீடத்தின் மேல் அந்த இரண்டாம் காளை பலியிடப்பட்டு இருக்கிறதையும் அவர்கள் பார்த்து;
And whanne men of that citee hadde rise eerly, thei sien the auter of Baal distried, and the wode kit doun, and the tothir bole put on the auter, that was bildid thanne.
29 ௨௯ ஒருவரையொருவர் நோக்கி: இந்தக் காரியத்தைச் செய்தவன் யார் என்றார்கள்; கேட்டு விசாரிக்கிறபோது, யோவாசின் மகன் கிதியோன் இதைச் செய்தான் என்றார்கள்.
And thei seiden togidere, Who hath do this? And whanne thei enqueriden the doer of the deed, it was seid, Gedeon, the sone of Joas, dide alle these thingis.
30 ௩0 அப்பொழுது ஊர்க்காரர்கள் யோவாசை நோக்கி: உன் மகனை வெளியே கொண்டுவா; அவன் பாகாலின் பலிபீடத்தைத் தகர்த்து, அதின் அருகே இருந்த தோப்பை வெட்டிப்போட்டான், அவன் சாகவேண்டும் என்றார்கள்.
And thei seiden to Joas, Brynge forth thi sone hidur, that he die, for he distriede the auter of Baal, and kittide doun the wode.
31 ௩௧ யோவாஸ் தன்னை எதிர்த்து நிற்கிற அனைவரையும் பார்த்து: நீங்களா பாகாலுக்காக வாதாடுவீர்கள்? நீங்களா அதைக் காப்பாற்றுவீர்கள்? அதற்காக வாதாடுகிறவர்கள் இன்று காலையிலே சாகட்டும்; அது தேவனானால் தன்னுடைய பலிபீடத்தைத் தகர்த்ததினால், அதுவே தனக்காக வாதாடட்டும் என்றான்.
To whiche he answeride, Whether ye ben the venieris of Baal, that ye fiyte for hym? he that is aduersarie of hym, die, bifor that the `liyt of the morew dai come; if he is God, venge he hym silf of hym that castide doun his auter.
32 ௩௨ தன்னுடைய பலிபீடத்தைத் தகர்த்ததினால் பாகால் அவனோடு வாதாடட்டும் என்று சொல்லி, அந்த நாளிலே அவனுக்கு யெருபாகால் என்று பெயர் சூட்டப்பட்டது.
Fro that dai Gedeon was clepid Gerobaal, for Joas hadde seid, Baal take veniaunce of hym that castide doun his auter.
33 ௩௩ மீதியானியர்களும் அமலேக்கியர்களும் கிழக்கு பகுதியை சேர்ந்த மக்கள் எல்லோரும் ஒன்றாக கூடி, ஆற்றைக் கடந்துவந்து, யெஸ்ரயேல் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் முகாமிட்டார்கள்.
Therfor al Madian, and Amalech, and the puplis of the eest weren gadirid to gidere, and passiden Jordan, and settiden tentis in the valey of Jezrael.
34 ௩௪ அப்பொழுது யெகோவாவுடைய ஆவியானவர் கிதியோன்மேல் இறங்கினார்; அவன் எக்காளம் ஊதி, அபியேஸ்ரியர்களைக் கூப்பிட்டு, தனக்குப் பின்செல்லும்படி செய்து,
Forsothe the spirit of the Lord clothide Gedeon; `and he sownede with a clarioun, and clepide to gidere the hows of Abiezer, that it schulde sue hym.
35 ௩௫ மனாசே நாடெங்கும் தூதுவர்களை அனுப்பி, அவர்களையும் கூப்பிட்டு, தனக்குப் பின்செல்லும்படி செய்து, ஆசேர், செபுலோன், நப்தலி நாடுகளிலும் ஆட்களை அனுப்பினான்; அவர்களும் அவனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டு வந்தார்கள்.
And he sente messangeris in to al Manasses, and he suede Gedeon; and he sente othere messangeris in to Aser, and Zabulon, and Neptalym, whiche camen to hym.
36 ௩௬ அப்பொழுது கிதியோன் தேவனை நோக்கி: தேவரீர் சொன்னபடி என்னுடைய கையினாலே இஸ்ரவேலை காப்பாற்றவேண்டுமானால்,
And Gedeon seide to the Lord, If thou makist saaf Israel bi myn hond, as thou hast spoke,
37 ௩௭ இதோ, நான் முடியுள்ள ஒரு தோலை கதிரடிக்கும் களத்திலே போடுகிறேன்; பனி தோலின்மேல் மட்டும் பெய்து, பூமியெல்லாம் காய்ந்திருந்தால், அப்பொழுது தேவரீர் சொன்னபடி இஸ்ரவேலை என்னுடைய கையினால் காப்பாற்றுவீர் என்று அதினாலே அறிவேன் என்றான்.
Y schal putte this flees of wolle in the corn floor; if dew is in the flees aloone, and drynesse is in al the erthe, Y schal wite, that thou schalt delyuere Israel bi myn hond, as thou hast spoke.
38 ௩௮ அப்படியே ஆனது. அவன் மறுநாள் காலையில் எழுந்து, தோலைக் கசக்கி, அதிலிருந்த பனிநீரை ஒரு கிண்ணம் நிறையப் பிழிந்தான்.
And it was don so. And he roos bi nyyt, and whanne the flees was wrongun out, he fillide a pot with deew;
39 ௩௯ அப்பொழுது கிதியோன் தேவனை நோக்கி: நான் இன்னும் ஒரு முறை மட்டும் பேசுகிறேன், உமது கோபம் என்மேல் வராமல் இருப்பதாக; தோலினாலே நான் இன்னும் ஒரே முறை மட்டும் சோதனைசெய்கிறேன்; தோல் மட்டும் காய்ந்திருக்கவும் பூமியெங்கும் பனி பெய்திருக்கவும் கட்டளையிடும் என்றான்.
and he seide eft to the Lord, Thi strong veniaunce be not wrooth ayens me, if Y asaie, `that is, axe a signe, yit onys, and seke a signe in the flees; Y preye, that the flees aloone be drie, and al the erthe be moist with deew.
40 ௪0 அப்படியே தேவன் அன்று இரவு செய்தார்; தோல்மட்டும் காய்ந்திருந்து, பூமியெங்கும் பனி பெய்திருந்தது.
And the Lord dide in that nyyt, as Gedeon axide; and drynesse was in the flees aloone, and deew was in al the erthe.
