ஏசாயா 33

1 ௧ கொள்ளையிடப்படாமலிருந்தும், கொள்ளையிடுகிறவனும், துரோகம் செய்யாதிருக்கிறவர்களுக்குத் துரோகம் செய்கிறவனுமாகிய உனக்கு ஐயோ, நீ கொள்ளையிட்டு முடிந்தபின்பு கொள்ளையிடப்படுவாய்; நீ துரோகம் செய்துமுடிந்தபின்பு உனக்குத் துரோகம்செய்வார்கள்.

Woe to you who destroy, but you weren't destroyed; and who betray, but nobody betrayed you. When you have finished destroying, you will be destroyed; and when you have made an end of betrayal, you will be betrayed.

2 ௨ யெகோவாவே, எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும், உமக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறோம்; தேவரீர் காலையில் அவர்களுடைய புயமும், இக்கட்டுக்காலத்தில் எங்கள் இரட்சிப்புமாயிரும்.

LORD, be gracious to us. We have waited for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

3 ௩ அமளியின் சத்தத்தினாலே மக்கள் அலைந்தோடி, நீர் எழுந்திருக்கும்போது தேசங்கள் சிதறடிக்கப்படும்.

At the noise of the thunder, the peoples have fled. When you lift yourself up, the nations are scattered.

4 ௪ வெட்டுக்கிளிகள் சேர்க்கிறதுபோல உங்கள் கொள்ளை சேர்க்கப்படும்; வெட்டுக்கிளிகள் குதித்துத் திரிகிறதுபோல மனிதர்கள் அதின்மேல் குதித்துத் திரிவார்கள்.

Your spoil will be gathered as the caterpillar gathers. Men will leap on it as locusts leap.

5 ௫ யெகோவா உயர்ந்தவர், அவர் உன்னதத்தில் வாசமாயிருக்கிறார்; அவர் சீயோனை நியாயத்தினாலும் நீதியினாலும் நிரப்புகிறார்.

The LORD is exalted, for he dwells on high. He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness.

6 ௬ பூரண இரட்சிப்பும் ஞானமும் அறிவும் உன் காலங்களுடைய உறுதியாயிருக்கும்; யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயப்படுதலே உன்னுடைய பொக்கிஷம்.

There will be stability in your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the LORD is your treasure.

7 ௭ இதோ, அவர்களுடைய பராக்கிரமசாலிகள் வெளியிலே அலறுகிறார்கள்; சமாதானத்து பிரதிநிதிகள் மனங்கசந்து அழுகிறார்கள்.

Look, their valiant ones cry outside; the ambassadors of peace weep bitterly.

8 ௮ பாதைகள் பாழாயின; வழிப்போக்கர்கள் இல்லை; உடன்படிக்கையை மீறுகிறான்; நகரங்களை இகழுகிறான்; மனிதனை மதிக்காமல் போகிறான்.

The highways are desolate, the traveler ceases. He has broken the covenant, he has despised the witnesses; he has no regard for man.

9 ௯ தேசம் துக்கித்து சோர்வடைந்திருக்கிறது; லீபனோன் வெட்கி வாடுகிறது; சாரோன் வனாந்திரத்திற்கு ஒப்பாகிறது; பாசானும் கர்மேலும் பாழாக்கப்படுகிறது.

The land mourns and languishes. Lebanon is confounded and withers away. Sharon is like a desert, and Bashan and Carmel are stripped bare.

10 ௧0 இப்பொழுது எழுந்தருளுவேன், இப்பொழுது உயருவேன், இப்பொழுது மேன்மைப்படுவேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்கிறார்.

"Now I will arise," says the LORD; "Now I will lift myself up. Now I will be exalted.

11 ௧௧ பதரைக் கர்ப்பந்தரித்து வைக்கோலைப் பெறுவீர்கள்; நெருப்பைப்போல் உங்கள் சுவாசமே உங்களை சுட்டெரிக்கும்.

You will conceive chaff. You will bring forth stubble. Your breath is a fire that will devour you.

12 ௧௨ மக்கள் சுண்ணாம்பைப்போல நீர்த்துப்போவார்கள்; வெட்டப்பட்ட முட்செடிகளைப்போலத் தீயில் எரிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

The peoples will be like the burning of lime, like thorns that are cut down and burned in the fire.

13 ௧௩ தூரத்திலுள்ளவர்களே, நான் செய்கிறதைக் கேளுங்கள்; சமீபத்திலிருக்கிறவர்களே, என் பராக்கிரமத்தை அறிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள் என்கிறார்.

Hear, you who are far off, what I have done; and, you who are near, acknowledge my might."

14 ௧௪ சீயோனிலுள்ள பாவிகள் திகைக்கிறார்கள்; மாயக்காரர்களை நடுக்கம்பிடிக்கிறது; சுட்டெரிக்கும் நெருப்பிற்கு முன்பாக நம்மில் தங்கியிருப்பவன் யார்? நிலையான நெருப்புத்தழலுக்கு முன்பாக நம்மில் குடியிருப்பவன் யார் என்கிறார்கள்.

The sinners in Zion are afraid. Trembling has seized the godless ones. Who among us can live with the devouring fire? Who among us can live with everlasting burning?

15 ௧௫ நீதியாக நடந்து, செம்மையானவைகளைப் பேசி, துன்பம் செய்வதால் வரும் ஆதாயத்தை வெறுத்து, லஞ்சங்களை வாங்காதபடிக்குத் தன் கைகளை உதறி, இரத்தம் சிந்துவதற்கான யோசனைகளைக் கேளாதபடிக்குத் தன் செவியை அடைத்து, பொல்லாப்பைக் காணாதபடிக்குத் தன் கண்களை மூடுகிறவன் எவனோ,

He who walks righteously, and speaks blamelessly; He who despises the gain of oppressions, who gestures with his hands, refusing to take a bribe, who stops his ears from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from looking at evil—

16 ௧௬ அவன் உயர்ந்த இடங்களில் குடியிருப்பான்; கன்மலைகளின் பாதுகாப்பு அவனுடைய உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலமாகும்; அவனுடைய உணவு அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்; அவனுடைய தண்ணீர் அவனுக்கு நிச்சயமாகக் கிடைக்கும்.

he will dwell on high. His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks. His bread will be supplied. His waters will be sure.

17 ௧௭ உன் கண்கள் ராஜாவை மகிமை பொருந்தினவராகக் காணும், தூரத்திலுள்ள தேசத்தையும் பார்க்கும்.

Your eyes will see the king in his beauty. They will see a distant land.

18 ௧௮ உன் மனம் பயங்கரத்தை நினைவுகூரும்; கணக்காளன் எங்கே? தண்டல்காரன் எங்கே? கோபுரங்களை எண்ணினவன் எங்கே?

Your heart will meditate on the terror. Where is he who counted? Where is he who weighed? Where is he who counted the towers?

19 ௧௯ உனக்குப் புரியாத மொழியையும், புரிந்துகொள்வதற்குக் கடினமான ஒருவிதமான பேச்சையுமுடைய அந்தக் கொடூர மக்களை இனி நீ பார்க்கமாட்டாய்.

You will no longer see the fierce people, a people of a deep speech that you can't comprehend, with a strange language that you can't understand.

20 ௨0 நம்முடைய பண்டிகைகள் அனுசரிக்கப்படும் நகரமாகிய சீயோனை நோக்கிப்பார்; உன் கண்கள் எருசலேமை அமைதலான குடியிருப்பாகவும், பெயர்க்கப்படாத கூடாரமாகவும் காணும்; இனி அதின் முளைகள் என்றைக்கும் பிடுங்கப்படுவதுமில்லை, அதின் கயிறுகளில் ஒன்றும் அறுந்துபோவதுமில்லை.

Look at Zion, the city of our appointed festivals. Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a quiet habitation, a tent that won't be removed. Its stakes will never be plucked up, nor will any of its cords be broken.

21 ௨௧ மகிமையுள்ள யெகோவா அங்கே நமக்கு மிக அகலமான நதிகளும் ஆறுகளுமுள்ள இடம் போலிருப்பார்; தண்டுவலிக்கிற படகு அங்கே ஓடுவதும் இல்லை; பெரிய கப்பல் அங்கே கடந்துவருவதும் இல்லை.

But there the LORD will be with us in majesty, a place of broad rivers and streams, in which no galley with oars will go, neither will any gallant ship pass by there.

22 ௨௨ யெகோவா நம்முடைய நியாயாதிபதி, யெகோவா நம்முடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணிகர், யெகோவா நம்முடைய ராஜா, அவர் நம்மை காப்பாற்றுவார்.

For the LORD is our judge. The LORD is our lawgiver. The LORD is our king. He will save us.

23 ௨௩ உன் கயிறுகள் தளர்ந்துபோகும்; பாய்மரத்தைப் பலப்படுத்தவும், பாயை விரிக்கவும் முடியாமற்போகும்; அப்பொழுது திரளான கொள்ளைப்பொருள் பங்கிடப்படும்; சப்பாணிகளும் கொள்ளையிடுவார்கள்.

Your rigging is untied. They couldn't strengthen the foot of their mast. They couldn't spread the sail. Then the prey of a great spoil was divided. The lame took the prey.

24 ௨௪ வியாதிப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன் என்று நகரவாசிகள் சொல்வதில்லை; அதில் குடியிருக்கிற மக்களின் அக்கிரமம் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும்.

The inhabitant won't say, "I am sick." The people who dwell in it will be forgiven their iniquity.
