சங்கீதம் 35

1 தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். யெகோவாவே, என்னோடு வழக்காடுகிறவர்களோடு வழக்காடி, என்னோடு போராடுகிறவர்களுடன் நீர் போராடும்.

By David. Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me.

2 கேடயத்தையும் கவசத்தையும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளும்; எனக்கு உதவிசெய்ய எழுந்து வாரும்.

Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help.

3 என்னைத் துரத்துகிறவர்களுக்கு எதிராக ஈட்டியையும் எறிவேலையும் நீட்டி இப்படி சொல்லும்: நீர் என் ஆத்துமாவுக்கு, “நானே உனது இரட்சிப்பு.”

Brandish the spear and block those who pursue me. Tell my soul, “I am your salvation.”

4 எனது உயிரை வாங்கத் தேடுகிறவர்கள் அவமானம் அடைந்து வெட்கப்படுவார்களாக; என்னை அழிக்கச் சதிசெய்கிறவர்கள் மனம் தளர்ந்து பின்வாங்கிப் போவார்களாக.

Let those who seek after my soul be disappointed and brought to dishonor. Let those who plot my ruin be turned back and confounded.

5 யெகோவாவினுடைய தூதன் அவர்களைத் துரத்துவதால் காற்றிலே பறந்து போகிற பதரைப்போல் இருப்பார்களாக;

Let them be as chaff before the wind, Yahweh’s angel driving them on.

6 யெகோவாவினுடைய தூதன் அவர்களைப் பின்தொடர்வதால், அவர்களுடைய பாதை இருளாகவும், சறுக்குகிறதாகவும் இருப்பதாக.

Let their way be dark and slippery, Yahweh’s angel pursuing them.

7 காரணமின்றி அவர்கள் எனக்காக வலையை மறைத்து வைத்திருப்பதனாலும், காரணமின்றி அவர்கள் எனக்காக குழிதோண்டி இருப்பதனாலும்,

For without cause they have hidden their net in a pit for me. Without cause they have dug a pit for my soul.

8 அழிவு திடீரென அவர்கள்மேல் வருவதாக; அவர்கள் மறைத்துவைத்த வலை அவர்களையே சிக்கவைப்பதாக; அந்தக் குழிக்குள் அவர்களே விழுந்து அழிந்துபோவார்களாக.

Let destruction come on him unawares. Let his net that he has hidden catch himself. Let him fall into that destruction.

9 அப்பொழுது என் ஆத்துமா யெகோவாவிடம் சந்தோஷப்பட்டு, அவருடைய இரட்சிப்பில் மகிழ்ச்சியடையும்.

My soul shall be joyful in Yahweh. It shall rejoice in his salvation.

10 “யெகோவாவே, உம்மைப்போல் யாருண்டு? நீர் ஏழைகளை ஒடுக்குகிற வலிமையானவர்களிடம் இருந்தும், ஏழைகளையும் குறைவுள்ளோரையும் கொள்ளையிடுகிறவர்களிடம் இருந்தும் விடுவிக்கிறீர்” என்று என் முழு உள்ளமும் வியப்புடன் சொல்லும்.

All my bones shall say, “Yahweh, who is like you, who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him; yes, the poor and the needy from him who robs him?”

11 இரக்கமற்ற சாட்சிகள் முன்வருகிறார்கள்; எனக்குத் தெரியாதவைகளை அவர்கள் என்னிடத்தில் கேட்கிறார்கள்.

Unrighteous witnesses rise up. They ask me about things that I don’t know about.

12 நன்மைக்குப் பதிலாய் அவர்கள் எனக்குத் தீமை செய்து, என்னை உதவியின்றி விட்டுவிடுகிறார்கள்.

They reward me evil for good, to the bereaving of my soul.

13 ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் வியாதியாய் இருந்தபோதோ, நான் துக்கவுடை உடுத்தி உபவாசத்துடன் என்னைத் தாழ்த்தினேன். எனது மன்றாட்டுகள் பதிலளிக்கப்படாமல் என்னிடமே திரும்பிவந்தபோது,

But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth. I afflicted my soul with fasting. My prayer returned into my own bosom.

14 எனது நண்பர்களைப்போலவும் சகோதரரைப் போலவும் நான் அவர்களுக்காக துக்கித்தேன்; என் தாய்க்காக அழுகிறது போல, துக்கத்தில் என் தலையை குனிந்து கொண்டேன்.

I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother. I bowed down mourning, as one who mourns his mother.

15 ஆனால் நான் இடறியபோதோ, அவர்கள் ஒன்றுகூடி மகிழ்கிறார்கள்; நான் எதிர்பாராத வேளையில் தாக்குகிறவர்கள், எனக்கெதிராய் ஒன்றுகூடி, ஓய்வின்றி என்னை நிந்தித்தார்கள்.

But in my adversity, they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together. The attackers gathered themselves together against me, and I didn’t know it. They tore at me, and didn’t cease.

16 அவர்கள் இறை பக்தியற்றவர்களோடு சேர்ந்து பரியாசம் செய்து, என்னைப் பார்த்து பற்களைக் கடித்தார்கள்.

Like the profane mockers in feasts, they gnashed their teeth at me.

17 யெகோவாவே, எதுவரையிலும் இதைப் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருப்பீர்? அவர்கள் செய்யும் அழிவுகளிலிருந்து என்னையும் சிங்கங்களிடமிருந்து விலையுயர்ந்த என் உயிரையும் தப்புவியும்.

Lord, how long will you look on? Rescue my soul from their destruction, my precious life from the lions.

18 அப்பொழுது மகா சபையிலே நான் உமக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துவேன்; மக்கள் கூட்டங்களின் மத்தியில் நான் உம்மைத் துதிப்பேன்.

I will give you thanks in the great assembly. I will praise you among many people.

19 காரணமின்றி என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்கள் என்னைப் பழித்து மகிழாமலும், காரணமின்றி என்னை வெறுக்கிறவர்கள் தவறான நோக்கத்தோடு கண் சிமிட்டாமலும் இருக்கட்டும்.

Don’t let those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; neither let those who hate me without a cause wink their eyes.

20 அவர்கள் சமாதானமாய்ப் பேசுவதில்லை; நாட்டில் அமைதியாய் வாழ்கிறவர்களுக்கு எதிராய் வஞ்சகமாய்த் திட்டமிடுகிறார்கள்.

For they don’t speak peace, but they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.

21 அவர்கள் தங்கள் வாயை விரிவாய்த் திறந்து சொல்கிறதாவது: “ஆ! ஆ! எங்கள் கண்களாலேயே நாங்கள் இதைக் கண்டிருக்கிறோம்.”

Yes, they opened their mouth wide against me. They said, “Aha! Aha! Our eye has seen it!”

22 யெகோவாவே, நீர் இதைக் கண்டிருக்கிறீர்; மவுனமாயிராதேயும். யெகோவாவே, என்னைவிட்டுத் தூரமாயிராதேயும்.

You have seen it, Yahweh. Don’t keep silent. Lord, don’t be far from me.

23 விழித்தெழும், எழுந்து எனக்காக வழக்காடும்; என் இறைவனே, யெகோவாவே, எனக்காகப் போராடும்.

Wake up! Rise up to defend me, my God! My Lord, contend for me!

24 என் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவே, உமது நீதியின் நிமித்தம் என்னை நியாயம் விசாரியும்; அவர்கள் என்னைப் பழித்து மகிழவிடாதேயும்.

Vindicate me, Yahweh my God, according to your righteousness. Don’t let them gloat over me.

25 “ஆ! நாங்கள் விரும்பியதே நடந்துவிட்டது!” என்று அவர்கள் சிந்திக்க விடாதேயும் அல்லது “நாங்கள் அவனை விழுங்கிவிட்டோம்” என்று அவர்கள் சொல்லவிடாதேயும்.

Don’t let them say in their heart, “Aha! That’s the way we want it!” Don’t let them say, “We have swallowed him up!”

26 என் துன்பத்தைக் குறித்து என்னைப் பழித்து மகிழ்கிறவர்கள் எல்லோரும் வெட்கமடைந்து கலங்குவார்களாக; எனக்கு மேலாகத் தங்களை உயர்த்துகிறவர்கள் எல்லோரும் வெட்கத்தாலும் அவமானத்தாலும் மூடப்படுவார்களாக.

Let them be disappointed and confounded together who rejoice at my calamity. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me.

27 என் நீதி நிலைநிறுத்தப்படுவதை விரும்புகிறவர்கள், சந்தோஷத்தினாலும் மகிழ்ச்சியினாலும் ஆர்ப்பரிப்பார்களாக. “தனது பணியாளனின் நலனை விரும்புகிற யெகோவா உயர்த்தப்படுவாராக” என்று அவர்கள் எப்பொழுதும் சொல்லட்டும்.

Let those who favor my righteous cause shout for joy and be glad. Yes, let them say continually, “May Yahweh be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant!”

28 எனது நாவு உமது நீதியை அறிவிக்கும், நாள்முழுவதும் உம்மைத் துதிக்கும்.

My tongue shall talk about your righteousness and about your praise all day long.
