சங்கீதம் 136

1 யெகோவாவுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துங்கள், அவர் நல்லவர்,

Thank Yahweh, because he does good things [for us]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

2 தெய்வங்களின் இறைவனுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துங்கள்,

Thank God, the one who is greater than all other gods; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

3 கர்த்தாதி யெகோவாவுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துங்கள்,

Thank the Lord who is greater than all other lords/rulers; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

4 அவர் மட்டுமே பெரிய அதிசயங்களைச் செய்கிறவர்;

He is the only one who performs great miracles; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

5 அவர் தமது அறிவாற்றலினால் வானங்களைப் படைத்தார்;

He is the one who by being very wise created the heavens; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

6 அவர் நீர்நிலைகளுக்கு மேலாகப் பூமியைப் பரப்பினார்;

He is the one who caused the ground to rise up above the deep waters; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

7 அவர் பெரிய வெளிச்சங்களை உண்டாக்கினார்;

He is the one who created great lights [in the sky]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

8 அவர் பகலை ஆளச் சூரியனைப் படைத்தார்;

He created the sun to shine in the daytime; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

9 இரவை ஆளச் சந்திரனையும் நட்சத்திரங்களையும் படைத்தார்;

He created the moon and stars to shine during the nighttime; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

10 அவர் எகிப்தியருடைய தலைப்பிள்ளைகளை வீழ்த்தினார்;

He is the one who killed the firstborn [males] in Egypt; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

11 அவர்கள் மத்தியிலிருந்து இஸ்ரயேலரை வெளியே கொண்டுவந்தார்;

He led the Israeli people out of Egypt; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

12 அவர் வல்லமையுள்ள கரத்தினாலும் நீட்டிய புயத்தினாலும் அதைச் செய்தார்;

With his (strong hand/great power) he led them out; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

13 செங்கடலை இரண்டாகப் பிரித்தவருக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துங்கள்;

He is the one who caused the Red Sea to divide; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

14 அவர் அதின் நடுவில் இஸ்ரயேலரைக் கொண்டுவந்தார்;

He enabled the Israeli people to walk through it [on dry land]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

15 ஆனால் பார்வோனையும் அவனுடைய படையையும் செங்கடலில் புரட்டித்தள்ளினார்;

But he caused the king of Egypt and his army to drown in it; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

16 தம்முடைய மக்களை பாலைவனத்தில் வழிநடத்தினவருக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துங்கள்;

He is the one who led his people [safely through the desert]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

17 அவர் பெரிய அரசர்களை வீழ்த்தியவருக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துங்கள்;

He killed powerful kings; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

18 அவர் வலிமைமிக்க அரசர்களை வீழ்த்தினார்;

He killed kings who were famous; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

19 அவர் எமோரியரின் அரசனாகிய சீகோனை வீழ்த்தினார்;

He killed Sihon, the king of the Amor people-group; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

20 அவர் பாசானின் அரசனாகிய ஓகை வீழ்த்தினார்;

He killed Og, the king of Bashan [region]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

21 அவர் அவர்களுடைய நாட்டை உரிமைச்சொத்தாகக் கொடுத்தார்;

He gave their lands to us, his people; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

22 தமது அடியவனாகிய இஸ்ரயேலுக்கு அதை உரிமைச்சொத்தாகக் கொடுத்தார்;

He gave those lands to us people of Israel, who serve him; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

23 அவர் நம்முடைய தாழ்ந்த நிலையில் நம்மை நினைத்தார்;

He is the one who did not forget about us when we were defeated [by our enemies]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

24 நம்முடைய பகைவரிடமிருந்து நம்மை விடுவித்தார்;

He rescued us from our enemies; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

25 அவர் ஒவ்வொரு உயிரினத்திற்கும் உணவு கொடுக்கிறார்;

He is the one who gives food to all living creatures; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.

26 பரலோகத்தின் இறைவனுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துங்கள்;

[So] thank God, [who lives in] heaven, [for all those things], because his faithful love [for us] endures forever!
