யோபு 25

1 அப்பொழுது சூகியனான பில்தாத் மறுமொழியாக சொன்னதாவது:

Then Baldad the Suhite answered, and I said:

2 “ஆளுகையும், பிரமிக்கத்தக்க பயமும் இறைவனுக்கே உரியது; அவரே பரலோகத்தின் உயரங்களில் சமாதானத்தை நிலைநாட்டுகிறவர்.

Power and terror are with him, who maketh peace in his high places.

3 அவருடைய படைவீரர்களை எண்ணமுடியுமோ? அவருடைய ஒளி யார்மேல் உதிக்காமல் இருக்கிறது?

Is there any numbering of his soldiers? and upon whom shall not his light arise?

4 அப்படியிருக்க ஒரு மனிதன் இறைவனுக்கு முன்பாக நேர்மையானவனாக நிற்பதெப்படி? பெண்ணிடத்தில் பிறந்தவன் தூய்மையாய் இருப்பதெப்படி?

Can man be justified compared with God, or he that is born of a woman appear clean?

5 அவருடைய பார்வையில் சந்திரன் பிரகாசம் இல்லாமலும், நட்சத்திரங்கள் தூய்மையற்றதாயும் இருக்கும்போது,

Behold even the moon doth not shine, and the stars are not pure in his sight.

6 பூச்சியாயிருக்கும் மனிதனும், புழுவாயிருக்கும் மனுமகனும் எவ்வளவு அற்பமானவர்கள்!”

How much less man that is rottenness and the son of man who is a worm?
