ஏசாயா 51
1 “நீதியைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்களே, யெகோவாவைத் தேடுகிறவர்களே, நீங்கள் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள். நீங்கள் எந்தக் கற்பாறையிலிருந்து வெட்டி எடுக்கப்பட்டீர்களோ, எந்தக் கற்குழியிலிருந்து தோண்டி எடுக்கப்பட்டீர்களோ, அந்தக் கற்பாறையானவரை நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள்.
Hearken unto me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek Jehovah: look unto the rock [whence] ye were hewn, and to the hole of the pit [whence] ye were digged.
2 உங்கள் முற்பிதாவாகிய ஆபிரகாமையும் உங்களைப் பெற்றெடுத்த சாராளையும் நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள். நான் அவனை அழைத்தபோது, அவன் ஒருவனாய் மாத்திரமே இருந்தான்; நான் அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்து அவனை அநேகராகப் பெருகச் செய்தேன்.
Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bore you; for I called him when he was alone, and blessed him, and multiplied him.
3 மெய்யாகவே யெகோவா சீயோனைத் தேற்றுவார், அவளுடைய பாழான இடங்களையெல்லாம் ஆறுதல் செய்வார்; அவர் அவளுடைய பாலைவனங்களை ஏதேனைப் போலவும், அவளுடைய பாழிடங்களை யெகோவாவின் தோட்டத்தைப் போலவும் ஆக்குவார். சந்தோஷமும் மகிழ்ச்சியும் அங்கு காணப்படும், நன்றி செலுத்துதலும் பாடலின் சத்தமும் அங்கு இருக்கும்.
For Jehovah shall comfort Zion, he shall comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of Jehovah: gladness and joy shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of song.
4 “என் மக்களே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; என் நாடே, கேளுங்கள்: சட்டம் என்னிலிருந்து வெளிப்படும்: என் நீதி நாடுகளுக்கு ஒரு வெளிச்சமாக இருக்கும்.
Listen unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will establish my judgment for a light of the peoples.
5 என் நீதி சமீபமாயிருக்கிறது; என் இரட்சிப்பு வெளிப்படுகிறது, என் புயம் நாடுகளுக்கு நீதியைக் கொண்டுவரும். தீவுகள் என்னை நோக்கி, என் கரத்திற்காக எதிர்பார்ப்புடன் காத்திருக்கும்.
My righteousness is near, my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the peoples: the isles shall wait for me, and in mine arm shall they trust.
6 உங்கள் கண்களை வானங்களை நோக்கி உயர்த்துங்கள், கீழிருக்கும் பூமியையும் பாருங்கள்; வானங்கள் புகையைப்போல் மறையும், பூமியும் பழைய உடையைப்போல் கந்தையாகும்; அங்கு குடியிருப்போரும் ஈக்களைப்போல் சாவார்கள். ஆனால் எனது இரட்சிப்போ என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைநிற்கும், எனது நீதி ஒருபோதும் தவறுவதில்லை.
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall grow old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner; but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
7 “நியாயத்தை அறிந்தவர்களே, எனது சட்டத்தை மனதில் வைத்திருக்கும் மக்களே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள். மனிதரின் நிந்தனைக்குப் பயப்படாதீர்கள்; அவர்களின் ஏளனப் பேச்சுக்களால் திகிலடையாதீர்கள்.
Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear not the reproach of men, and be not afraid of their revilings.
8 பொட்டுப்பூச்சி உடையை அரித்து, ஆட்டு மயிரைத் தின்பதுபோல் அவர்களைத் தின்னும். ஆனால் என் நீதியோ என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைக்கும், எனது இரட்சிப்பும் எல்லா தலைமுறைகளுக்கும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்.”
For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool; but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
9 யெகோவாவின் புயமே, விழித்தெழு, விழித்தெழு, பெலத்தால் உன்னை உடுத்திக்கொள்! கடந்த நாட்களிலும் பழைய தலைமுறைகளிலும் எழுந்ததுபோல் விழித்தெழு. ராகாப் என்னும் வலுசர்ப்பத்தைத் துண்டுதுண்டாக வெட்டியது நீரல்லவா? அந்த மிருகத்தை ஊடுருவக் குத்தியதும் நீரல்லவா?
Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Jehovah; awake, as in the days of old, [as in] the generations of passed ages. Is it not thou that hath hewn Rahab in pieces, [and] pierced the monster?
10 கடலையும் ஆழங்களின் தண்ணீரையும் வற்றவைத்தது நீரல்லவா? மீட்கப்பட்டவர்கள் கடந்துசெல்லும்படி கடலின் பெரிய ஆழங்களில் பாதை அமைத்ததும் நீரல்லவா?
Is it not thou that dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; that made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?
11 யெகோவாவினால் மீட்கப்பட்டவர்கள் திரும்பி வருவார்கள். அவர்கள் பாடலுடன் சீயோனுக்குள் செல்வார்கள்; நித்திய மகிழ்ச்சி அவர்களுடைய தலையின்மேலிருக்கும். மகிழ்ச்சியும் ஆனந்தமும் அடைவார்கள், துக்கமும் பெருமூச்சும் பறந்தோடிவிடும்.
So the ransomed of Jehovah shall return, and come to Zion with singing; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy; sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
12 “நான், நானே உன்னைத் தேற்றுகிறவர். இறக்கும் மனிதனுக்கும், புல்லாயிருக்கும் மானிடருக்கும் பயப்படுவதற்கு நீ யார்?
I, [even] I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou fearest a man that shall die, and the son of man that shall become as grass;
13 வானங்களை விரித்து, பூமியின் அஸ்திபாரங்களை அமைத்த, உன் படைப்பாளரான யெகோவாவை நீ மறந்திருக்கிறாயே! அதனால் அழிக்கக் காத்திருக்கும் ஒடுக்குகிறவனுடைய கோபத்திற்கு தினமும் இடைவிடாமல் நீ அஞ்சுகிறாயே! ஒடுக்குபவனின் கடுங்கோபம் எங்கே?
and forgettest Jehovah thy Maker, who hath stretched out the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and thou art afraid continually all the day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he prepareth to destroy? And where is the fury of the oppressor?
14 பயந்து அடங்கியிருக்கும் கைதிகள் விரைவில் விடுதலையாக்கப்படுவார்கள்; தங்கள் இருட்டறையில் அவர்கள் சாகமாட்டார்கள், அவர்களின் உணவும் குறைவுபடாது.
He that is bowed down shall speedily be loosed, and he shall not die in the pit, nor shall his bread fail.
15 ஏனெனில் உன் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா நானே, நான் கடலைக் கலக்க அதன் அலைகள் இரைகின்றன, சேனைகளின் யெகோவா என்பது என் பெயர்.
And I am Jehovah thy God, who raiseth the sea, so that its waves roar: Jehovah of hosts is his name.
16 வானங்களை அதினதின் இடத்தில் நிலைப்படுத்தி, பூமியின் அஸ்திபாரங்களையும் அமைத்தேன். சீயோனிடம், ‘நீங்களே எனது மக்கள்’ என்று சொன்னேன்” நான் என் வார்த்தைகளை உன் வாயில் அருளி, என் கரத்தின் நிழலால் உன்னை மூடிக்கொண்டேன்.
And I have put my words in thy mouth, and covered thee with the shadow of my hand, to plant the heavens, and to lay the foundations of the earth, and to say unto Zion, Thou art my people.
17 விழித்தெழு, விழித்தெழு! எருசலேமே, விழித்தெழு, யெகோவாவின் கரத்திலிருக்கும் அவரது கோபத்தின் பாத்திரத்தில் குடித்தவளே! மனிதரைத் தள்ளாடவைக்கும் பாத்திரத்தை மண்டிவரை குடித்தவளே! நீ எழுந்திரு.
Arouse thyself, arouse thyself, stand up, Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of Jehovah the cup of his fury. Thou hast drunk, hast drained out the goblet-cup of bewilderment:
18 அவள் பெற்றெடுத்த எல்லா மக்களிலும் அவளுக்கு வழிகாட்ட பிள்ளைகள் ஒருவரும் இருக்கவில்லை; அவள் வளர்த்த எல்லா பிள்ளைகளிலும் அவளைக் கையில் பிடித்துச் செல்லக்கூட ஒருவரும் இல்லை.
— there is none to guide her among all the children that she hath brought forth; neither is there any to take her by the hand of all the children that she hath brought up.
19 இந்த இரண்டு பெரும் துன்பங்களும் உன்மேல் வந்திருக்கின்றன; உன்னைத் தேற்றுபவர் யார்? அழிவும், பாழும், பஞ்சமும், வாளும் உன்மேல் வந்திருக்கின்றன. உன்னை ஆறுதல்படுத்துபவர் யார்?
These two [things] are come unto thee; who will bemoan thee? — desolation and destruction, and famine and sword: how shall I comfort thee?
20 உனது பிள்ளைகள் சோர்ந்துவிட்டார்கள்; ஒவ்வொரு தெருவின் முகப்பிலும், வலையில் அகப்பட்ட கலைமானைப்போல் கிடக்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் யெகோவாவின் கோபத்தாலும், உங்கள் இறைவனின் கண்டனத்தாலும் நிரப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.
Thy children have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as an oryx in a net: they are full of the fury of Jehovah, the rebuke of thy God.
21 ஆகவே, துன்புறுத்தப்பட்டவளே, மதுபானம் குடிக்காமலே வெறிகொண்டிருக்கிறவளே, இதைக் கேள்.
Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
22 உன் ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா சொல்வது இதுவே, தமது மக்களுக்காக வாதாடும் உன் இறைவன் கூறுகிறார்: “உன்னை மதிமயக்கும் பாத்திரத்தை உன் கைகளிலிருந்து எடுத்துக்கொண்டேன்; எனது கோபத்தின் பாத்திரத்தில் நீ இனி ஒருபோதும் குடிக்கமாட்டாய்.
thus saith thy Lord, Jehovah, and thy God, who pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I take out of thy hand the cup of bewilderment, the goblet-cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:
23 உன்னை வேதனைப்படுத்தியவர்களின் கைகளில் அப்பாத்திரத்தை நான் வைப்பேன். அவர்கள் உன்னிடம், ‘நாங்கள் உன்மீது நடக்கும்படி நிலத்தில் வீழ்ந்துகிட’ என்று சொல்லியிருந்தார்கள். நீயும் உன் முதுகை நிலத்தைப் போலாக்கினாய், மிதித்து நடக்கும்படி அதை ஒரு வீதியைப்போலவும் ஆக்கினாயே.”
and I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; who have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over; and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street to them that went over.
