3 Mosebok 11
1 Och HERREN talade till Mose och Aron och sade till dem:
And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying unto them,
2 Talen till Israels barn och sägen: Dessa äro de djur som I fån äta bland alla fyrfotadjur på jorden:
'Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, This [is] the beast which ye do eat out of all the beasts which [are] on the earth:
3 alla de fyrfotadjur som hava klövar och hava dem helkluvna, och som idissla, dem fån I äta.
any dividing a hoof, and cleaving the cleft of the hoofs, bringing up the cud, among the beasts, it ye do eat.
4 Men dessa skolen I icke äta av de idisslande djuren och av dem som hava klövar: kamelen, ty han idisslar väl, men har icke klövar, han skall gälla för eder såsom oren; klippdassen, ty han idisslar väl
'Only, this ye do not eat — of those bringing up the cud, and of those dividing the hoof — the camel, though it is bringing up the cud, yet the hoof not dividing — it [is] unclean to you;
5 men har icke klövar, han skall gälla for eder såsom oren; haren, ty han idisslar väl,
and the rabbit, though it is bringing up the cud, yet the hoof it divideth not — unclean it [is] to you;
6 men har icke klövar, han skall gälla för eder såsom oren; svinet,
and the hare, though it is bringing up the cud, yet the hoof hath not divided — unclean it [is] to you;
7 ty det har väl klövar och har dem helkluvna, men det idisslar icke, det skall gälla för eder såsom orent.
and the sow, though it is dividing the hoof, and cleaving the cleft of the hoof, yet the cud it bringeth not up — unclean it [is] to you.
8 Av dessa djurs kött skolen I icke äta, ej heller skolen I komma vid deras döda kroppar; de skola gälla för eder såsom orena.
'Of their flesh ye do not eat, and against their carcase ye do not come — unclean they [are] to you.
9 Detta är vad I fån äta av allt det som lever i vattnet: allt det i vattnet, vare sig i sjöar eller i strömmar, som har fenor och fjäll, det fån I äta.
'This ye do eat of all which [are] in the waters; any one that hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the brooks, them ye do eat;
10 Men allt det i sjöar och strömmar, som icke har fenor och fjäll, bland allt det som rör sig i vattnet, bland alla levande varelser i vattnet, det skall vara en styggelse för eder.
and any one that hath not fins and scales in the seas, and in the brooks, of any teeming creature of the waters, and of any creature which liveth, which [is] in the waters — an abomination they [are] to you;
11 Ja, de skola vara en styggelse för eder; av deras kött skolen I icke äta, och deras döda kroppar skolen I räkna såsom en styggelse.
yea, an abomination they are to you; of their flesh ye do not eat, and their carcase ye abominate.
12 Allt det i vattnet, som icke har fenor och fjäll, skall vara en styggelse för eder.
'Any one that hath not fins and scales in the waters — an abomination it [is] to you.
13 Och bland fåglarna skolen I räkna dessa såsom en styggelse, de skola icke ätas, de äro en styggelse: örnen, lammgamen, havsörnen,
'And these ye do abominate of the fowl; they are not eaten, an abomination they [are]: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
14 gladan, falken med dess arter,
and the vulture, and the kite after its kind,
15 alla slags korpar efter deras arter,
every raven after its kind,
16 strutsen, tahemasfågeln, fiskmåsen, höken med dess arter,
and the owl, and the night-hawk, and the cuckoo, and the hawk after its kind,
17 ugglan, dykfågeln, uven,
and the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
18 tinsemetfågeln, pelikanen,
and the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,
19 asgamen, hägern, regnpiparen med dess arter, härfågeln och flädermusen.
and the stork, the heron after its kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
20 Alla de flygande smådjur som gå på fyra fötter skola vara en styggelse för eder.
'Every teeming creature which is flying, which is going on four — an abomination it [is] to you.
21 Av alla flygande smådjur, som gå på fyra fötter fån I allenast äta dem som ovanför sina fötter hava två ben att hoppa med på jorden.
'Only — this ye do eat of any teeming thing which is flying, which is going on four, which hath legs above its feet, to move with them on the earth;
22 Dessa fån I äta bland gräshopporna: arbe med dess arter, soleam med dess arter, hargol med dess arter och hagab med dess arter.
these of them ye do eat: the locust after its kind, and the bald locust after its kind, and the beetle after its kind, and the grasshopper after its kind;
23 Men alla andra flygande smådjur som hava fyra fötter skola vara en styggelse för eder.
and every teeming thing which is flying, which hath four feet — an abomination it [is] to you.
24 Genom följande djur ådragen I eder orenhet; var och en som kommer vid deras döda kroppar skall vara oren ända till aftonen,
'And by these ye are made unclean, any one who is coming against their carcase is unclean till the evening;
25 och var och en som har burit bort någon sådan död kropp skall två sina kläder och vara oren ända till aftonen:
and anyone who is lifting up [aught] of their carcase doth wash his garments, and hath been unclean till the evening: —
26 alla de fyrfotadjur som hava klövar, men icke helkluvna, och som icke idissla, de skola gälla för eder såsom orena. Var och en som kommer vid dem bliver oren.
even every beast which is dividing the hoof, and is not cloven-footed, and the cud is not bringing up — unclean they [are] to you; any one who is coming against them is unclean.
27 Och alla slags fyrfotade djur som gå på tassar skola gälla för eder såsom orena. Var och en som kommer vid deras döda kroppar skall vara oren ända till aftonen.
'And any one going on its paws, among all the beasts which are going on four — unclean they [are] to you; any one who is coming against their carcase is unclean until the evening;
28 Och den som har burit bort en sådan död kropp, han skall två sina kläder och vara oren ända till aftonen; de skola gälla för eder såsom orena.
and he who is lifting up their carcase doth wash his garments, and hath been unclean until the evening — unclean they [are] to you.
29 Och bland de smådjur som röra sig på jorden skola dessa gälla för eder såsom orena: vesslan, jordråttan, ödlan med dess arter,
'And this [is] to you the unclean among the teeming things which are teeming on the earth: the weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise after its kind,
30 anakan, koadjuret, letaan, hometdjuret och kameleonten.
and the ferret, and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the snail, and the mole;
31 Dessa äro de som skola gälla för eder såsom orena bland alla smådjur. Var och en som kommer vid dem, sedan de äro döda, skall vara oren ända till aftonen.
these [are] the unclean to you among all which are teeming; any one who is coming against them in their death is unclean till the evening.
32 Och allt varpå något sådant djur faller, sedan det är dött, bliver orent, vare sig det är något slags träkärl, eller det är kläder, eller något av skinn, eller en säck, eller vilken annan sak det vara må, som användes till något behov. Man skall lägga det i vatten, och det skall vara orent ända till aftonen; så bliver det rent.
'And anything on which any one of them falleth, in their death, is unclean, of any vessel of wood or garment or skin or sack, any vessel in which work is done is brought into water, and hath been unclean till the evening, then it hath been clean;
33 Och om något sådant faller i något slags lerkärl, så bliver allt som är i detta orent, och kärlet skolen I slå sönder.
and any earthen vessel, into the midst of which [any] one of them falleth, all that [is] in its midst is unclean, and it ye do break.
34 Allt slags mat däri, allt som man äter tillrett med vatten, det bliver orent; och allt slags dryck i något slags kärl, allt som man dricker, det bliver orent därav.
'Of all the food which is eaten, that on which cometh [such] water, is unclean, and all drink which is drunk in any [such] vessel is unclean;
35 Och allt varpå någon sådan död kropp faller bliver orent. Är det en ugn eller en härd, skall den förstöras, ty den bliver oren. Och den skall gälla för eder såsom oren.
and anything on which [any] of their carcase falleth is unclean (oven or double pots), it is broken down, unclean they [are], yea, unclean they are to you.
36 Men en källa eller en brunn, en plats dit vatten samlar sig, skall förbliva ren; men kommer någon vid själva den döda kroppen, bliver han oren.
'Only — a fountain or pit, a collection of water, is clean, but that which is coming against their carcase is unclean;
37 Och om en sådan död kropp faller på något slags utsädeskorn, något man sår, då förbliver detta rent.
and when [any] of their carcase falleth on any sown seed which is sown — it [is] clean;
38 Men om vatten har kommit på säden och någon sådan död kropp sedan faller därpå, så skall den gälla för eder såsom oren.
and when water is put on the seed, and [any] of its carcase hath fallen on it — unclean it [is] to you.
39 Och om något fyrfotadjur som får ätas av eder dör, så skall den som kommer vid dess döda kropp vara oren ända till aftonen.
'And when any of the beasts which are to you for food dieth, he who is coming against its carcase is unclean till the evening;
40 Och den som äter kött av en sådan död kropp, han skall två sina kläder och vara oren ända till aftonen. Och den som har burit bort någon sådan död kropp, han skall två sina kläder och vara oren ända till aftonen.
and he who is eating of its carcase doth wash his garments, and hath been unclean till the evening; and he who is lifting up its carcase doth wash his garments, and hath been unclean till the evening.
41 Och alla slags smådjur som röra sig på jorden äro en styggelse; de skola icke ätas.
'And every teeming thing which is teeming on the earth is an abomination, it is not eaten;
42 Varken av det som går på buken eller av det som går på fyra eller flera fötter, bland alla de smådjur som röra sig på jorden, skolen I äta något, ty de äro en styggelse.
any thing going on the belly, and any going on four, unto every multiplier of feet, to every teeming thing which is teeming on the earth — ye do not eat them, for they [are] an abomination;
43 Gören eder icke själva till en styggelse genom något sådant djur, och ådragen eder icke orenhet genom sådana, så att I bliven orenade genom dem.
ye do not make yourselves abominable with any teeming thing which is teeming, nor do ye make yourselves unclean with them, so that ye have been unclean thereby.
44 Ty jag är HERREN, eder Gud; och I skolen hålla eder heliga och vara heliga, ty jag är helig. Och I skolen icke ådraga eder orenhet genom något av de smådjur som röra sig på jorden.
'For I [am] Jehovah your God, and ye have sanctified yourselves, and ye have been holy, for I [am] holy; and ye do not defile your persons with any teeming thing which is creeping on the earth;
45 Ty jag är HERREN, som har fört eder upp ur Egyptens land, för att jag skall vara eder Gud. Så skolen I nu vara heliga, ty jag är helig.
for I [am] Jehovah who am bringing you up out of the land of Egypt to become your God; and ye have been holy, for I [am] holy.
46 Detta är lagen om fyrfotadjuren, och om fåglarna, och om alla slags levande varelser som röra sig i vattnet, och om alla slags smådjur på jorden,
'This [is] a law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature which is moving in the waters, and of every creature which is teeming on the earth,
47 för att man skall kunna skilja mellan orent och rent, mellan de djur som få ätas och de djur som icke få ätas.
to make separation between the unclean and the pure, and between the beast that is eaten, and the beast that is not eaten.'
