1 Krönikeboken 2

1 Dessa voro Israels söner: Ruben, Simeon, Levi och Juda, Isaskar och Sebulon,

These [are] the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,

2 Dan, Josef och Benjamin, Naftali, Gad och Aser.

Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

3 Judas söner voro Er, Onan och Sela; dessa tre föddes åt honom av Suas dotter, kananeiskan. Men Er, Judas förstfödde, misshagade HERREN; därför dödade han honom.

The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: [which] three were born to him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the first-born of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD; and he slew him.

4 Och Tamar, hans sonhustru, födde åt honom Peres och Sera, så att Judas söner voro tillsammans fem.

And Tamar his daughter-in-law bore him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah [were] five.

5 Peres' söner voro Hesron och Hamul.

The sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul.

6 Seras söner voro Simri, Etan, Heman, Kalkol och Dara, tillsammans fem.

And the sons of Zerah; Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.

7 Men Karmis söner voro Akar, som drog olycka över Israel, när han trolöst förgrep sig på det tillspillogivna.

And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.

8 Och Etans söner voro Asarja.

And the sons of Ethan; Azariah.

9 Och de söner som föddes åt Hesron voro Jerameel, Ram och Kelubai.

The sons also of Hezron, that were born to him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.

10 Och Ram födde Amminadab, och Amminadab födde Naheson, hövding för Juda barn.

And Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;

11 Naheson födde Salma, och Salma födde Boas.

And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,

12 Boas födde Obed, och Obed födde Isai.

And Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse,

13 Isai födde Eliab, som var hans förstfödde, Abinadab, den andre, och Simea, den tredje,

And Jesse begat his first-born Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third,

14 Netanel, den fjärde, Raddai, den femte,

Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

15 Osem, den sjätte, David, den sjunde.

Ozem the sixth, David the seventh:

16 Och deras systrar voro Seruja och Abigail. Och Serujas söner voro Absai, Joab och Asael, tillsammans tre.

Whose sisters [were] Zeruiah, and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah; Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.

17 Och Abigail födde Amasa, och Amasas fader var ismaeliten Jeter.

And Abigail bore Amasa: and the father of Amasa [was] Jether the Ishmaelite.

18 Och Kaleb, Hesrons son, födde ett barn av kvinnkön, Asuba, därtill ock Jeriot; och dessa voro henne söner: Jeser, Sobab och Ardon.

And Caleb the son of Hezron begat [children] of Azubah [his] wife, and of Jerioth: her sons [are] these; Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.

19 Och när Asuba dog, tog Kaleb Efrat till hustru åt sig, och hon födde åt honom Hur.

And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took to him Ephrath, who bore to him Hur,

20 Och Hur födde Uri, och Uri födde Besalel.

And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.

21 Därefter gick Hesron in till Makirs, Gileads faders, dotter; henne tog han till hustru, när han var sextio år gammal. Och hon födde åt honom Segub.

And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he [was] sixty years old; and she bore him Segub.

22 Och Segub födde Jair; denne hade tjugutre städer i Gileads land.

And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.

23 Men gesuréerna och araméerna togo ifrån dem Jairs byar jämte Kenat med underlydande orter, sextio städer. Alla dessa voro söner till Makir, Gileads fader.

And he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath and its towns, [even] sixty cities. All these [belonged to] the sons of Machir, the father of Gilead.

24 Och sedan Hesron hade dött i Kaleb-Efrata, födde Hesrons hustru Abia åt honom Ashur, Tekoas fader.

And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb-ephratah, then Abiah Hezron's wife bore him Ashur the father of Tekoa.

25 Och Jerameels, Hesrons förstföddes, söner voro Ram, den förstfödde, vidare Buna, Oren och Osem samt Ahia.

And the sons of Jerahmeel the first-born of Hezron were, Ram the first-born, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, [and] Ahijah.

26 Men Jerameel hade en annan hustru som hette Atara; hon var moder till Onam.

Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name [was] Atarah; she [was] the mother of Onam.

27 Och Rams, Jerameels förstföddes, söner voro Maas, Jamin och Eker.

And the sons of Ram the first-born of Jerahmeel were, Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.

28 Onams söner voro Sammai och Jada; och Sammais söner voro Nadab och Abisur.

And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai; Nadab, and Abishur.

29 Och Abisurs hustru hette Abihail; hon födde åt honom Aban och Molid.

And the name of the wife of Abishur [was] Abihail; and she bore him Ahban, and Molid.

30 Nadabs söner voro Seled och Appaim. Seled dog barnlös.

And the sons of Nadab; Seled, and Appaim: but Seled died without children.

31 Men Appaims söner voro Jisei; Jiseis söner voro Sesan; Sesans söner voro Alai.

And the sons of Appaim; Ishi. And the sons of Ishi; Sheshan. And the children of Sheshan; Ahlai.

32 Jadas, Sammais broders, söner voro Jeter och Jonatan. Jeter dog barnlös.

And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai; Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether died without children.

33 Men Jonatans söner voro Pelet och Sasa. Dessa voro Jerameels söner.

And the sons of Jonathan; Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

34 Men Sesan hade inga söner, utan allenast döttrar. Nu hade Sesan en egyptisk tjänare som hette Jarha.

Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name [was] Jarha.

35 Och Sesan gav sin dotter till hustru åt sin tjänare Jarha, och hon födde åt honom Attai.

And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant for a wife; and she bore him Attai.

36 Attai födde Natan, och Natan födde Sabad.

And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,

37 Sabad födde Eflal, och Eflal födde Obed.

And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,

38 Obed födde Jehu, och Jehu födde Asarja.

And Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah,

39 Asarja födde Heles, och Heles födde Eleasa.

And Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,

40 Eleasa födde Sisamai, och Sisamai födde Sallum.

And Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum,

41 Sallum födde Jekamja, och Jekamja födde Elisama.

And Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.

42 Och Kalebs, Jerameels broders, söner voro Mesa, hans förstfödde, som var Sifs fader, och Maresas, Hebrons faders, söner.

Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel [were], Mesha his first-born, who [was] the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

43 Men Hebrons söner voro Kora, Tappua, Rekem och Sema.

And the sons of Hebron; Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.

44 Sema födde Raham, Jorkeams fader. Men Rekem födde Sammai.

And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam: and Rekem begat Shammai.

45 Sammais son var Maon, och Maon var Bet-Surs fader.

And the son of Shammai [was] Maon: and Maon [was] the father of Beth-zur.

46 Och Efa, Kalebs bihustru, födde Haran, Mosa och Gases; och Haran födde Gases.

And Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez: and Haran begat Gazez.

47 Och Jadais söner voro Regem, Jotam, Gesan, Pelet, Efa och Saaf.

And the sons of Jahdai; Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.

48 Kalebs bihustru Maaka födde Seber och Tirhana.

Maachah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber, and Tirhanah.

49 Hon födde ock Saaf, Madmannas fader, Seva, Makbenas fader och Gibeas fader. Och Kalebs dotter var Aksa.

She bore also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea: and the daughter of Caleb [was] Achsah.

50 Dessa voro Kalebs söner: Hurs, Efratas förstföddes, son var Sobal Kirjat-Jearims fader,

These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the first-born of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim,

51 vidare Salma, Bet-Lehems fader, och Haref, Bet-Gaders fader.

Salma the father of Beth-lehem, Hareph the father of Beth-gader.

52 Söner till Sobal, Kirjat-Jearims fader, voro Haroe och hälften av Hammenuhot-släkten.

And Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim had sons; Haroeh, [and] half of the Manahethites.

53 Men Kirjat-Jearims släkter voro jeteriterna, putiterna, sumatiterna och misraiterna. Från dem utgingo sorgatiterna och estaoliterna.

And the families of Kirjath-jearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zereathites, and the Eshtaulites.

54 Salmas söner voro Bet-Lehem och netofatiterna, Atrot-Bet-Joab, så ock hälften av manahatiterna, sorgiterna.

The sons of Salma; Beth-lehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Menahethites, the Zorites.

55 Och de skriftlärdes släkter, deras som bodde i Jaebes, voro tireatiterna, simeatiterna, sukatiterna. Dessa voro de kainéer som härstammade från Hammat, fader till Rekabs släkt.

And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, [and] Suchathites. These [are] the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
