Psaltaren 28
1 En Psalm Davids. När jag ropar till dig, Herre, min tröst, så tig mig icke; på det, när du tiger, jag icke varder dem lik, som i kulona fara.
A psalm of David. To you, Yahweh, I cry out; my rock, do not ignore me. If you do not respond to me, I will join those who go down to the grave.
2 Hör mine böns röst, när jag ropar till dig; när jag upplyfter mina händer till din helga chor.
Hear the sound of my pleading when I call for help from you, when I lift up my hands toward your most holy place!
3 Drag mig icke bort ibland de ogudaktiga, och ibland de ogerningsmän, som vänliga tala med sin nästa, och hafva ondt i hjertat.
Do not drag me away with the wicked, those who do iniquity, who speak peace with their neighbors but have evil in their hearts.
4 Gif dem efter sina gerningar, och efter sitt onda väsende; gif dem efter sina händers verk; betala dem det de förtjent hafva.
Give them what their deeds deserve and repay them what their wickedness demands, repay them for the work of their hands and render to them their due.
5 Ty de vilja icke akta uppå Herrans gerningar, eller uppå hans händers verk; derföre skall han nederslå, och icke uppbygga dem.
Because they do not understand the deeds of Yahweh or the work of his hands, he will tear them down and never rebuild them.
6 Lofvad vare Herran; ty han hafver hört mine böns röst.
Blessed be Yahweh because he has heard the sound of my pleading!
7 Herren är min starkhet, och min sköld; uppå honom hoppades mitt hjerta, och mig är hulpet; och mitt hjerta är gladt, och jag vill tacka honom med mine viso.
Yahweh is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and I will praise him with singing.
8 Herren är deras starkhet; han är den starke, som sin smorda hjelper.
Yahweh is the strength of his people, and he is the saving refuge of his anointed one.
9 Hjelp ditt folk, och välsigna ditt arf, och föd dem, och upphöj dem till evig tid.
Save your people and bless your inheritance. Be their shepherd and carry them forever.
