Psaltaren 141
1 En Psalm Davids. Herre, jag ropar till dig, skynda dig till mig. Förnim mina röst, när jag åkallar dig.
A Psalm of David. O Lord, I have cried to you; hear me: attend to the voice of my supplication, when I cry to you.
2 Min bön gälle inför dig såsom ett rökoffer; mina händers upphäfvande, såsom ett aftonoffer.
Let my prayer be set forth before you as incense; the lifting up of my hands [as] an evening sacrifice.
3 Herre, bevara min mun, och bevara mina läppar.
Set a watch, O Lord, on my mouth, and a strong door about by lips.
4 Böj icke mitt hjerta till något det ondt är, till att föra ett ogudaktigt väsende med de ogerningsmän; att jag icke äter af det som dem lyster.
Incline not my heart to evil things, to employ pretexts for sins, with me who work iniquity: and I will not. let me not unite with their choice ones.
5 Den rättfärdige slå mig vänliga, och straffe mig. Det skall göra mig så godt, som balsam på mitt hufvud; ty jag beder städse, att de icke skola göra mig skada.
The righteous shall chasten me with mercy, and reprove me: but let not the oil of the sinner anoint my head: for yet shall my prayer also be in their pleasures.
6 Deras lärare störte öfver en sten; så skall man då sedan höra mina läro, att hon lustig är.
Their mighty ones have been swallowed up near the rock: they shall hear my words, for they are sweet.
7 Vår ben äro förströdd allt intill helvetet, såsom då en upprifver och uppkastar jordena. (Sheol h7585)
As a lump of earth is crushed upon the ground, our bones have been scattered by the [mouth of] the grave. (Sheol h7585)
8 Ty uppå dig, Herre, Herre, se min ögon. Jag tröster uppå dig; bortkasta icke mina själ.
For mine eyes are to you, O Lord God: I have hoped in you; take not away my life.
9 Bevara mig för den snaro, som de mig satt hafva, och för de ogerningsmäns gildre.
Keep me from the snare which they have set for me, and from the stumbling blocks of them that work iniquity.
10 De ogudaktige falle med hvarannan uti sina egna nät; men jag gånge alltid framom.
Sinners shall fall by their own net: I am alone until I shall escape.
