1 Wimbo wa kwenda juu. Wamenionea mno tangu ujana wangu; Israeli na aseme sasa:

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

2 wamenionea mno tangu ujana wangu, lakini bado hawajanishinda.

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.

3 Wakulima wamelima mgongo wangu, na kufanya mifereji yao mirefu.

The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

4 Lakini Bwana ni mwenye haki; amenifungua toka kamba za waovu.

Yhwh is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

5 Wale wote waichukiao Sayuni na warudishwe nyuma kwa aibu.

Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

6 Wawe kama majani juu ya paa, ambayo hunyauka kabla hayajakua;

Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:

7 kwa hayo mvunaji hawezi kujaza vitanga vyake, wala akusanyaye kujaza mikono yake.

Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

8 Wale wapitao karibu na wasiseme, “Baraka ya Bwana iwe juu yako; tunakubariki katika jina la Bwana.”

Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of Yhwh be upon you: we bless you in the name of Yhwh.
