1 Mose alipomaliza kuisimamisha Maskani, aliitia mafuta na kuiweka wakfu pamoja na samani zake zote. Pia alitia madhabahu mafuta na kuiweka wakfu, pamoja na vyombo vyake vyote.
And it came to pass on the day that Moses had made an end of setting up the tabernacle, and had anointed it and sanctified it, and all the furniture thereof, and the altar and all the vessels thereof, and had anointed them and sanctified them;
2 Ndipo viongozi wa Israeli, wale wakuu wa jamaa waliokuwa viongozi wa kabila wasimamizi wa wale waliohesabiwa, wakatoa sadaka.
that the princes of Israel, the heads of their fathers’ houses, offered; these were the princes of the tribes, these are they that were over them that were numbered:
3 Walizileta kama matoleo yao mbele za Bwana: magari sita ya kukokotwa yaliyofunikwa, pamoja na maksai kumi na wawili; yaani maksai mmoja kutoka kwa kila kiongozi, na gari moja la kukokotwa kutoka kwa kila viongozi wawili. Haya waliyaleta mbele ya Maskani.
and they brought their oblation before the LORD, six covered wagons, and twelve oxen; a wagon for every two of the princes, and for each one an ox: and they presented them before the tabernacle.
4 Bwana akamwambia Mose,
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
5 “Vikubali vitu hivi kutoka kwao, ili viweze kutumika katika kazi kwenye Hema la Kukutania. Wapatie Walawi kama kazi ya kila mtu itakavyohitaji.”
Take it of them, that they may be to do the service of the tent of meeting; and thou shalt give them unto the Levites, to every man according to his service.
6 Hivyo Mose akachukua yale magari ya kukokotwa pamoja na maksai, na kuwapa Walawi.
And Moses took the wagons and the oxen, and gave them unto the Levites.
7 Aliwapa Wagershoni magari mawili ya kukokotwa na maksai wanne, kama walivyohitaji kwa kazi yao,
Two wagons and four oxen he gave unto the sons of Gershon, according to their service:
8 na pia aliwapa Wamerari magari manne ya kukokotwa na maksai wanane, kama kazi yao ilivyohitaji. Wote walikuwa chini ya maelekezo ya Ithamari mwana wa kuhani, Aroni.
and four wagons and eight oxen he gave unto the sons of Merari, according unto their service, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
9 Lakini Mose hakuwapa Wakohathi chochote kati ya hivyo, kwa sababu walitakiwa kubeba vitu vitakatifu mabegani mwao, vile walikuwa wanawajibika.
But unto the sons of Kohath he gave none: because the service of the sanctuary belonged unto them; they bare it upon their shoulders.
10 Wakati madhabahu yalitiwa mafuta, viongozi walileta sadaka zao kwa ajili ya kule kuwekwa wakfu kwake na kuziweka mbele ya madhabahu.
And the princes offered for the dedication of the altar in the day that it was anointed, even the princes offered their oblation before the altar.
11 Kwa maana Bwana alikuwa amemwambia Mose, “Kila siku kiongozi mmoja ataleta sadaka yake ili kuwekwa wakfu madhabahu.”
And the LORD said unto Moses, They shall offer their oblation, each prince on his day, for the dedication of the altar.
12 Yule ambaye alileta sadaka yake siku ya kwanza alikuwa Nashoni, mwana wa Aminadabu, wa kabila la Yuda.
And he that offered his oblation the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah:

one golden spoon of ten [shekels], full of incense;
15 fahali mmoja mchanga, kondoo dume mmoja na mwana-kondoo dume mmoja wa mwaka mmoja, kwa ajili ya sadaka ya kuteketezwa;
one young bullock, one ram, one he-lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering;
16 mbuzi dume mmoja kwa ajili ya sadaka ya dhambi;
one male of the goats for a sin offering;
17 maksai wawili, kondoo dume watano, mbuzi dume watano na wana-kondoo dume watano wa mwaka mmoja, ili vitolewe dhabihu kama sadaka ya amani. Hii ndiyo ilikuwa sadaka ya Nashoni mwana wa Aminadabu.

84 Hizi ndizo zilikuwa sadaka za viongozi wa Israeli madhabahu yalipowekwa wakfu, wakati yalitiwa mafuta: sahani kumi na mbili za fedha, bakuli kumi na mbili za fedha za kunyunyizia, na masinia kumi na mawili ya dhahabu.
This was the dedication of the altar, in the day when it was anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve silver chargers, twelve silver bowls, twelve golden spoons:

all the oxen for the burnt offering twelve bullocks, the rams twelve, the he-lambs of the first year twelve, and their meal offering: and the males of the goats for a sin offering twelve:
88 Jumla ya wanyama kwa ajili ya dhabihu ya sadaka ya amani walikuwa maksai ishirini na wanne, kondoo dume sitini, mbuzi dume wa mwaka mmoja sitini na wana-kondoo dume wa mwaka mmoja sitini. Hizi ndizo zilikuwa sadaka zilizoletwa kwa ajili ya kuwekwa wakfu kwa madhabahu baada ya kutiwa mafuta.
and all the oxen for the sacrifice of peace offerings twenty and four bullocks, the rams sixty, the he-goats sixty, the he-lambs of the first year sixty. This was the dedication of the altar, after that it was anointed.
89 Mose alipoingia kwenye Hema la Kukutania kuzungumza na Bwana, alisikia sauti ikisema naye kutoka kati ya wale makerubi wawili waliokuwa juu ya kile kiti cha rehema, juu ya Sanduku la Ushuhuda. Mose akazungumza naye.
And when Moses went into the tent of meeting to speak with him, then he heard the Voice speaking unto him from above the mercy-seat that was upon the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim: and he spake unto him.
