Lamentaciones 1

1 ¡Véala sentada sola, el pueblo que estaba lleno de gente! ¡La que fue grande entre las naciones se ha vuelto como una viuda! ¡Ella, que era una princesa entre los países, ha estado bajo el yugo del trabajo forzado!

How the city sits solitary, that was full of people. She has become as a widow, who was great among the nations. She who was a princess among the provinces has become a forced laborer.

2 Ella se lamenta amargamente en la noche, y su rostro está empapado de llanto; entre todos sus amantes no tiene consolador; todos sus amigos le han traicionado, se han convertido en sus enemigos.

She weeps bitterly in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks; among all her lovers she has none to comfort her. All her friends have dealt treacherously with her; they have become her enemies.

3 Se ha llevado a Judá como prisionero bajo aflicción y trabajo duro; su lugar de vida está entre las naciones, no hay descanso para ella; todos sus atacantes la han alcanzado en un lugar estrecho.

Judah has gone into exile because of affliction and harsh servitude; she dwells among the nations, she finds no rest: all her persecutors overtook her in the midst of her distress.

4 Los caminos de Sión son tristes, porque nadie viene a la reunión solemne; todas sus puertas se convierten en basura, sus sacerdotes lloran; sus vírgenes están preocupadas, y ella está amargada.

The roads to Zion mourn, because no one comes to the solemn assembly; all her gates are desolate, her priests groan: her virgins are afflicted, and she herself is in bitterness.

5 Los que están en contra de ella se han convertido en la cabeza, todo va bien para sus enemigos; porque el Señor le ha enviado tristeza por el gran número de sus pecados; sus hijos pequeños han salido como prisioneros por él enemigo.

Her adversaries have become the head, her enemies prosper; for the LORD has afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her young children have gone into captivity before the adversary.

6 Y toda su gloria se ha ido de la hija de Sión; sus gobernantes son como ciervos que no hallan pasto, y han huido sin fuerzas delante del atacante.

All majesty has departed from the daughter of Zion: her leaders have become like deer that find no pasture, they fled exhausted before the pursuer.

7 Jerusalén tiene en mente, los días de su dolor y de su peregrinación, todas las riquezas que eran suyas en los días pasados; cuando su gente entró en el poder de su adversario, sin que nadie le diera ninguna ayuda, al verla sus adversarios se burlaron en su destrucción.

Jerusalem remembers in the days of her affliction and wandering all her precious things that were from the days of old: when her people fell into the hand of the adversary, and no one helped her. The adversaries saw her, they mocked at her desolations.

8 Grande es el pecado de Jerusalén; por esta causa se ha convertido en una cosa impura; todos los que le dieron el honor la están mirando con desprecio, porque la han visto avergonzada; ahora, verdaderamente, ella suspira de dolor, y se vuelve atrás.

Jerusalem has grievously sinned; therefore she has become as an unclean thing; all who honored her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yes, she groans, and turns away.

9 En sus faldas estaban sus caminos inmundos; no pensó en su final; y su caída ha sido increíble; no tiene consolador; mira mi dolor, oh Señor; porque se ha engrandecido el enemigo.

Her filthiness was in her skirts; she did not remember her latter end; therefore her fall was astonishing; she has no comforter. "Look, LORD, on my affliction, for the enemy has magnified himself."

10 La mano del adversario se extiende sobre todas sus tesoros; porque ella ha visto que las naciones han venido a su lugar santo, acerca de las cuales ordenaste que no vinieran a la reunión de tu pueblo.

The adversary has spread out his hand on all her precious things: for she has seen that the nations have entered into her sanctuary, concerning whom you commanded that they should not enter into your assembly.

11 Suspirando, toda su gente está buscando pan; han dado sus riquezas a cambio de comida para sobrevivir, mira, oh Señor, y toma nota; mira mi ruina.

All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their precious things for food to refresh the soul. "Look, LORD, and see, for I am despised."

12 ¡Vengan a mí todos los que pasan! Mantén tus ojos en mí y mira si hay algún dolor como el dolor de mi herida, que el Señor me ha enviado en el día de su ira ardiente.

Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look, and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow, which is brought on me, with which the LORD has afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.

13 Desde lo alto ha enviado fuego que penetró a mis huesos; su red está tendida para mis pies, y volví atrás por él; Me ha hecho perder y debilitarme todo el día.

From on high he has sent fire into my bones, and it overcame them. He has spread a net for my feet, he has turned me back. He has made me desolate and faint all the day.

14 Mis pecados son atados a mi cuello como un yugo; son entrelazados por su mano, pesan en mi cuello; ha hecho ceder mi fuerza; el Señor me ha entregado en manos de aquellos contra quienes no tengo poder.

My transgressions are bound into a yoke; by his hand they are fastened together, they are set upon my neck; he has made my strength to fail. The LORD has delivered me into their hands, against whom I am not able to stand.

15 El Señor me hizo deportar a todos mis hombres de guerra, juntó hombres contra mí para enviar destrucción a mis jóvenes; la hija virgen de Judá ha sido aplastada como uvas bajo los pies del Señor.

The LORD has rejected all my mighty men in my midst; he has called a solemn assembly against me to crush my young men. The LORD has trodden as in a winepress the virgin daughter of Judah.

16 Por estas cosas estoy llorando; mi ojo están llenos de lágrimas; porque el consolador que me podría dar nueva vida está lejos de mí; mis hijos están desolados, porque prevaleció el enemigo.

For these things I weep; my eyes flow with tears; because the comforter who should refresh my soul is far from me. My children are desolate, because the enemy has prevailed.

17 Las manos de Sión están extendidas; ella no tiene quien la consuele; El Señor ha dado órdenes a los atacantes de Jacob a su alrededor; Jerusalén se ha convertido en algo impuro entre ellos.

Zion spreads forth her hands; there is none to comfort her. The LORD has commanded concerning Jacob, that those who are around him should be his adversaries. Jerusalem is among them as an unclean thing.

18 El Señor es Justo; porque he ido en contra de sus órdenes; escucha, ahora, todos ustedes pueblos, y vean mi dolor, mis vírgenes y mis jóvenes se han ido como prisioneros.

The LORD is righteous, for I have rebelled against his commandment. Please listen all you people, and see my suffering. My virgins and my young men have gone into captivity.

19 Mandé llamar a mis amantes, pero ellos me traicionaron; mis sacerdotes y mis hombres responsables se murieron en la ciudad, mientras buscaban comida para sobrevivir.

I called for my lovers, but they deceived me. My priests and my elders perished in the city, while they searched for food to refresh their souls.

20 Mira, oh Señor, porque estoy en problemas; las partes más internas de mi cuerpo están profundamente conmovidas; mi corazón se ha vuelto en mí; porque he sido muy rebelde; afuera los niños son llevados a la espada, y en la casa hay muerte.

See, LORD, for I am in distress; my stomach churns; my heart is turned within me; for I have grievously rebelled. Outside the sword bereaves, in the house it is like death.

21 La gente escucha la voz de mi dolor; No tengo quien me consuele todos mis enemigos tienen noticias de mis problemas, se alegran porque tu lo has hecho; que llegue el día que has anunciado, cuando sean como yo.

They have heard that I groan; there is none to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that you have done it. Bring the day that you have proclaimed, so that they shall end up like me.

22 Deja que todos sus males que han cometido se presenten ante ti; haz con ellos lo que me has hecho por todos mis pecados; porque son mucho mis gemidos, y la fuerza de mi corazón se ha ido.

Let all their wickedness come before you. Do to them, as you have done to me for all my transgressions. For my groans are many, and my heart is faint.
