Ezequiel 29

1 En el décimo año, en el décimo mes, a los doce días del mes, vino a mí la palabra del Señor, diciendo:

In the tenth year, in the tenth [month], in the twelfth of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying,

2 Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro contra Faraón, rey de Egipto, y profetiza contra él y contra todo Egipto.

'Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy concerning him, and concerning Egypt — all of it.

3 Diles: Estas son las palabras del Señor: Mira, yo estoy contra ti, Faraón, rey de Egipto, la gran bestia del río que se extiende entre sus arroyos del Nilo, quien dijo: El Nilo es mío. y lo he hecho para mi.

Speak, and thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I [am] against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt! The great dragon that is crouching in the midst of his floods, Who hath said, My flood [is] my own, And I — I have made it [for] myself.

4 Y pondré ganchos en tu quijada, y los peces de tus arroyos colgarán de tus escamas; y te haré subir de tus arroyos, con todos los peces de tus arroyos colgando de tus escamas.

And I have put hooks in thy jaws, And I have caused the fish of thy floods to cleave to thy scales, And I have caused thee to come up from the midst of thy floods, And every fish of thy floods to thy scales doth cleave.

5 Y te arrojaré en el desierto, tú y todos los peces de tus arroyos; te dejaré al campo abierto; no serás levantado ni recogido; Te he dado de por alimento a las bestias del campo y a las aves del cielo.

And I have left thee in the wilderness, Thou and every fish of thy floods, On the face of the field thou dost fall, Thou art not gathered nor assembled, To the beast of the earth and to the fowl of the heavens I have given thee for food.

6 Y todo el pueblo de Egipto sabrán que yo soy el Señor, porque ustedes solo han sido un bordón de caña para los hijos de Israel.

And known have all inhabitants of Egypt That I [am] Jehovah, Because of their being a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

7 Cuando te tomaron con la mano, te quebraste, y desgarraste todas sus manos; y cuando se apoyaron sobre ti, se rompieron todos sus lomos enteramente.

In their taking hold of thee by thy hand, — thou art crushed, And hast rent to them all the shoulder, And in their leaning on thee thou art broken, And hast caused all their thighs to stand.

8 Por esto ha dicho el Señor Dios: Mira, te estoy enviando una espada, cortaré de ti, hombre y bestia.

Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am bringing in against thee a sword, And have cut off from thee man and beast.

9 Y la tierra de Egipto será desolación y ruinas en el desierto; y sabrán que yo soy el Señor; porque él ha dicho: El Nilo es mío, yo lo hice.

And the land of Egypt hath been for a desolation and a waste, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah. Because he said: The flood [is] mine, and I made [it].

10 Mira, entonces, estoy contra ti y contra tus arroyos, y haré de la tierra de Egipto un desierto totalmente seco, desde Migdol hasta Syene, incluso hasta el borde de Etiopía.

Therefore, lo, I [am] against thee, and against thy floods, And have given the land of Egypt for wastes, A waste, a desolation, from Migdol to Syene, And unto the border of Cush.

11 Ningún pie de hombre lo atravesará y ningún pie de bestia, ni será habitada por cuarenta años.

Not pass over into it doth a foot of man, Yea, the foot of beast doth not pass into it, Nor is it inhabited forty years.

12 Haré de la tierra de Egipto un país desolado entre los países que se convierten en ruinas, y sus pueblos quedarán despoblados entre los pueblos que han sido destruidos durante cuarenta años; y dispersaré a los egipcios entre las Naciones y los demás países.

And I have made the land of Egypt a desolation, In the midst of desolate lands, And its cities, in the midst of waste cities, Are a desolation forty years, And I have scattered the Egyptians among nations, And I have dispersed them through lands.

13 Porque esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor Dios: Al cabo de cuarenta años reuniré a los egipcios de los pueblos a donde han sido esparcidos.

But thus said the Lord Jehovah: At the end of forty years I gather the Egyptians Out of the peoples whither they have been scattered,

14 Dejaré que el destino de Egipto cambie, y los haré volver a la tierra de Patros, a la tierra de la que vinieron; y allí habrá un reino sin importancia.

And I have turned back [to] the captivity of Egypt, And I have brought them back [To] the land of Pathros, to the land of their birth, And they have been there a low kingdom.

15 Será el más bajo de los reinos, y nunca más se levantará sobre las naciones; los haré pequeños, para que no tengan dominio sobre las naciones.

Of the kingdoms it is lowest, And it lifteth not up itself any more above the nations, And I have made them few, So as not to rule among nations.

16 Y Egipto ya no será la esperanza de los hijos de Israel, al recordar la iniquidad de haber vuelto a Egipto; y sabrán que yo soy el Señor Dios.

And it is no more to the house of Israel for a confidence, Bringing iniquity to remembrance, By their turning after them, And they have known that I [am] the Lord Jehovah.'

17 En el año vigésimo séptimo, en el primer mes, el primer día del mes, vino a mí la palabra del Señor, diciendo.

And it cometh to pass, in the twenty and seventh year, in the first [month], in the first of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying:

18 El hijo de hombre, Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, hizo que su ejército hiciera un gran trabajo contra Tiro, y el cabello se desprendió de cada cabeza y cada brazo fue desgarrado, pero él y su ejército no obtuvieron ningún pago de Tiro por el duro trabajo que había hecho contra él.

'Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, Hath caused his force to serve a great service against Tyre, Every head [is] bald — every shoulder peeled, And reward he had none, nor his force, out of Tyre, For the service that he served against it.

19 Por esta causa, el Señor Dios ha dicho: Mira, le doy la tierra de Egipto a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia; él se llevará sus riquezas; y tomará sus bienes por la fuerza y todo lo que esté allí; Y este será el pago para su ejército.

Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah, Lo, I am giving to Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon the land of Egypt, And he hath taken away its store, And hath taken its spoil, and taken its prey, And it hath been a reward to his force.

20 Le he dado la tierra de Egipto como recompensa por su arduo trabajo, porque estaban trabajando para mí, dice el Señor Dios.

His wage for which he laboured I have given to him, The land of Egypt — in that they wrought for Me, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

21 En ese día haré brotar el poderío para los hijos de Israel, y abriré tu boca en medio de ellos, y sabrán que yo soy el Señor.

In that day I cause to shoot up a horn to the house of Israel, And to thee I give an opening of the mouth in their midst, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah!'
