Salmos 72

1 Para Salomón. Oh Dios, da tus juicios al rey, y tu justicia al hijo del rey.

[By Solomon.] God, give the king your justice; your righteousness to the royal son.

2 El juzgará tu pueblo con justicia, y tus pobres con juicio.

He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.

3 Los montes llevarán paz al pueblo, y los collados, por justicia.

The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.

4 Juzgará los pobres del pueblo, salvará los hijos del menesteroso, y quebrantará al violento.

He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break the oppressor in pieces.

5 Te temerán con el sol y antes de la luna, por generación de generaciones.

They shall fear you while the sun endures; and as long as the moon, throughout all generations.

6 Descenderá como la lluvia sobre la hierba cortada; como el rocío que destila sobre la tierra.

He will come down like rain on the mown grass, as showers that water the earth.

7 Florecerá en sus días justicia, y muchedumbre de paz, hasta que no haya luna.

In his days, the righteous shall flourish, and abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.

8 Y dominará de mar a mar, y desde el río hasta los confines de la tierra.

He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, from the River to the farthest parts of the earth.

9 Delante de él se postrarán los etíopes; y sus enemigos lamerán la tierra.

Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him. His enemies shall lick the dust.

10 Los reyes de Tarsis y de las islas traerán presentes; los reyes de Sabá y de Seba ofrecerán dones.

The kings of Tarshish and of the islands will bring tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

11 Y se arrodillarán a él todos los reyes; le servirán todos los gentiles.

Yes, all kings shall fall down before him. All nations shall serve him.

12 Porque él librará al menesteroso que clamare, y al pobre que no tuviere quién le socorra.

For he will deliver the needy when he cries; the poor, who has no helper.

13 Tendrá misericordia del pobre y del menesteroso, y salvará las almas de los pobres en espíritu.

He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy.

14 De engaño y de fraude redimirá sus almas; y la sangre de ellos será preciosa en sus ojos.

He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Their blood will be precious in his sight.

15 Y vivirá, y se le dará del oro de Sabá; y se orará por él continuamente; cada día le echará bendiciones.

And he shall live, and the gold of Sheba shall be given to him. Men shall pray for him continually. He shall bless him all day long.

16 Será echado un puño de grano en tierra, en las cumbres de los montes; su fruto hará estruendo como el Líbano, y desde la ciudad verdecerán como la hierba de la tierra.

There shall be abundance of grain throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.

17 Será su Nombre para siempre, delante del sol será propagado su Nombre; y bendecirán en él todos los gentiles; lo llamarán bienaventurado.

His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed.

18 Bendito el SEÑOR Dios, el Dios de Israel, el único que hace maravillas.

Praise be to YHWH, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.

19 Y bendito su Nombre glorioso para siempre; y toda la tierra sea llena de su gloria. Amén y Amén.

Blessed be his glorious name forever. Let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen.
