Salmos 115

1 No a nosotros, oh SEÑOR, no a nosotros, sino a tu Nombre da gloria; por tu misericordia, por tu verdad.

Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name bring honor, for your covenant faithfulness and for your trustworthiness.

2 Por qué dirán los gentiles: ¿Dónde está ahora su Dios?

Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?”

3 Y nuestro Dios está en los cielos, todo lo que quiso ha hecho.

Our God is in heaven; he does whatever he pleases.

4 Los ídolos de ellos son plata y oro, obra de manos de hombres.

The nations' idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

5 Tienen boca, mas no hablarán; tienen ojos, mas no verán;

Those idols have mouths, but they do not speak; they have eyes, but they do not see;

6 orejas tienen, mas no oirán; tienen narices, mas no olerán;

they have ears, but they do not hear; they have noses, but they do not smell.

7 manos tienen, mas no palparán; tienen pies, mas no andarán; no hablarán con su garganta.

Those idols have hands, but do not feel; they have feet, but they cannot walk; nor do they speak from their mouths.

8 Como ellos sean los que los hacen; cualquiera que en ellos confía.

Those who make them are like them, as is everyone who trusts in them.

9 Oh Israel, confía en el SEÑOR; él es su ayuda y su escudo.

Israel, trust in Yahweh; he is your help and shield.

10 Casa de Aarón, confiad en el SEÑOR; él es su ayuda y su escudo.

House of Aaron, trust in Yahweh; he is your help and shield.

11 Los que teméis al SEÑOR, confiad en el SEÑOR; él es su ayuda y su escudo.

You who honor Yahweh, trust in him; he is your help and shield.

12 El SEÑOR se acordó de nosotros; bendecirá sobremanera a la casa de Israel; bendecirá a la casa de Aarón.

Yahweh takes notice of us and will bless us; he will bless the family of Israel; he will bless the family of Aaron.

13 Bendecirá a los que temen al SEÑOR; a chicos y a grandes.

He will bless those who honor him, both young and old.

14 Acrecentará el SEÑOR bendición sobre vosotros; sobre vosotros y sobre vuestros hijos.

May Yahweh increase your numbers more and more, yours and your descendants'.

15 Benditos vosotros del SEÑOR, que hizo los cielos y la tierra.

May you be blessed by Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.

16 Los cielos son los cielos del SEÑOR; y ha dado la tierra a los hijos de los hombres.

The heavens belong to Yahweh; but the earth he has given to mankind.

17 No alabarán los muertos a JAH, ni todos los que descienden al silencio;

The dead do not praise Yahweh, nor do any who go down into silence;

18 mas nosotros bendeciremos a JAH, desde ahora y para siempre. Alelu-JAH.

But we will bless Yahweh now and forevermore. Praise Yahweh.
