1 Crónicas 20
1 Y aconteció a la vuelta del año, en el tiempo que suelen los reyes salir a la guerra, que Joab sacó las fuerzas del ejército, y destruyó la tierra de los hijos de Amón, y vino y cercó a Rabá. Mas David estaba en Jerusalén; y Joab batió a Rabá, y la destruyó.
And it came to pass, that after the year was expired, at the time that kings go out [to battle], Joab led forth the power of the army, and wasted the country of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried at Jerusalem. And Joab smote Rabbah, and destroyed it.
2 Y David tomó la corona de su rey de encima de su cabeza, y la halló de peso de un talento de oro, y había en ella piedras preciosas; y fue puesta sobre la cabeza de David. Y Además de esto sacó de la ciudad un muy gran despojo.
And David took the crown of their king from off his head, and found it to weigh a talent of gold, and [there were] precious stones in it; and it was set upon David’s head: and he brought also exceeding much spoil out of the city.
3 Sacó también al pueblo que estaba en ella, y los cortó con sierras, y con trillos de hierro, y segures. Lo mismo hizo David a todas las ciudades de los hijos de Amón. Y se volvió David con todo el pueblo a Jerusalén.
And he brought out the people that [were] in it, and cut [them] with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes. Even so dealt David with all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
4 Después de esto aconteció que se levantó guerra en Gezer con los filisteos; e hirió Sibecai husatita a Sipai, del linaje de los gigantes; y fueron humillados.
And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, [that was] of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.
5 Y volvió a levantarse guerra con los filisteos; e hirió Elhanán hijo de Jair a Lahmi, hermano de Goliat geteo, el asta de cuya lanza era como un rodillo de un telar.
And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff [was] like a weaver’s beam.
6 Y volvió a haber guerra en Gat, donde hubo un hombre de grande estatura, el cual tenía seis dedos en sus pies y seis dedos en sus manos, en todos veinticuatro; y también era hijo del gigante.
And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of [great] stature, whose fingers and toes [were] four and twenty, six [on each hand], and six [on each foot: ] and he also was the son of the giant.
7 Denostó él a Israel, mas lo hirió Jonatán, hijo de Simea hermano de David.
But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea David’s brother slew him.
8 Estos fueron hijos del gigante en Gat, los cuales cayeron por mano de David y de sus siervos.
These were born unto the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
