Salmos 129

1 Mucho me han angustiado desde mi juventud, díga lo ahora Israel;

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

2 Mucho me han angustiado desde mi juventud: mas no prevalecieron contra mí.

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.

3 Sobre mis espaldas araron gañanes: hicieron luengos surcos:

The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

4 Mas Jehová justo, cortó las coyundas de los impíos.

Yhwh is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

5 Serán avergonzados, y vueltos atrás, todos los que aborrecen a Sión.

Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

6 Serán como la yerba de los tejados: que antes que salga, se seca;

Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:

7 De la cual no hinchió su mano segador; ni su brazo el que hace gavillas.

Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

8 Ni dijeron los que pasaron: Bendición de Jehová sea sobre vosotros: os bendecimos en nombre de Jehová.

Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of Yhwh be upon you: we bless you in the name of Yhwh.
