San Lucas 5
1 Y aconteció, que estando él junto al lago de Genesaret, la multitud se derribaba sobre él por oír la palabra de Dios.
Then it came to passe, as the people preassed vpon him to heare the word of God, that he stoode by the lake of Gennesaret,
2 Y vio dos naves que estaban cerca de la orilla del lago; y los pescadores, habiendo descendido de ellas, lavaban sus redes.
And sawe two shippes stand by the lakes side, but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nettes.
3 Y entrado en una de estas naves, la cual era de Simón, le rogó que la desviase de tierra un poco; y sentándose, enseñaba desde la nave al pueblo.
And he entred into one of the ships, which was Simons, and required him that he would thrust off a litle from the land: and he sate downe, and taught the people out of the ship.
4 Y como cesó de hablar, dijo a Simón: Entra en alta mar, y echád vuestras redes para pescar.
Now when he had left speaking, he sayd vnto Simon, Lanch out into the deepe, and let downe your nettes to make a draught.
5 Y respondiendo Simón, le dijo: Maestro, habiendo trabajado toda la noche, nada hemos tomado; mas en tu palabra echaré la red.
Then Simon answered, and sayd vnto him, Master, we haue trauailed sore all night, and haue taken nothing: neuerthelesse at thy worde I will let downe the net.
6 Y habiéndolo hecho, encerraron tan gran multitud de peces, que su red se rompía.
And when they had so done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes, so that their net brake.
7 E hicieron señas a los compañeros que estaban en la otra nave, que viniesen a ayudarles; y vinieron, y llenaron ambas naves de tal manera que se anegaban.
And they beckened to their parteners, which were in the other ship, that they shoulde come and helpe them, who came then, and filled both the ships, that they did sinke.
8 Lo cual viendo Simón Pedro, se derribó a las rodillas de Jesús, diciendo: Sálte de conmigo, Señor, porque soy hombre pecador.
Now when Simon Peter saw it, he fel down at Iesus knees, saying, Lord, go from me: for I am a sinfull man.
9 Porque temor le había rodeado, y a todos los que estaban con él, a causa de la presa de los peces que habían tomado:
For he was vtterly astonied, and all that were with him, for the draught of fishes which they tooke.
10 Y asimismo a Santiago y a Juan, hijos de Zebedeo, que eran compañeros de Simón. Y Jesús dijo a Simón: No temas: desde ahora tomarás hombres.
And so was also Iames and Iohn the sonnes of Zebedeus, which were companions with Simon. Then Iesus sayde vnto Simon, Feare not: from henceforth thou shalt catch men.
11 Y como llegaron a tierra las naves, dejándolo todo, le siguieron.
And when they had brought the ships to land, they forsooke all, and followed him.
12 Y aconteció que estando en una ciudad, he aquí, un hombre lleno de lepra, el cual viendo a Jesús, postrándose sobre el rostro le rogó, diciendo: Señor, si quisieres, puedes limpiarme.
Nowe it came to passe, as he was in a certaine citie, beholde, there was a man full of leprosie, and when he sawe Iesus, he fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me cleane.
13 Entonces extendiendo la mano le tocó, diciendo: Quiero: sé limpio. Y luego la lepra se fue de él.
So he stretched forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will, be thou cleane. And immediately the leprosie departed from him.
14 Y él le mandó que no lo dijese a nadie: Mas vé ( le dice, ) muéstrate al sacerdote, y ofrece por tu limpieza, como mandó Moisés, por testimonio a ellos.
And he commanded him that hee should tell it no man: but Go, sayth he, and shew thy selfe to the Priest, and offer for thy clensing, as Moses hath commanded, for a witnes vnto them.
15 Empero el hablar de él andaba tanto más; y se juntaban grandes multitudes a oír, y ser sanados por él de sus enfermedades.
But so much more went there a fame abroad of him, and great multitudes came together to heare, and to be healed of him of their infirmities.
16 Mas él se apartaba a los desiertos, y oraba.
But he kept himselfe apart in the wildernes, and prayed.
17 Y aconteció un día, que él estaba enseñando, y Fariseos y doctores de la ley estaban sentados, los cuales habían venido de todas las aldeas de Galilea, y de Judea, y de Jerusalem; y la virtud del Señor estaba allí para sanarlos.
And it came to passe, on a certaine day, as he was teaching, that the Pharises and doctours of the Law sate by, which were come out of euery towne of Galile, and Iudea, and Hierusalem, and the power of the Lord was in him to heale them.
18 Y, he aquí, unos hombres, que traían en una cama un hombre que estaba paralítico; y buscaban por donde meterle, y poner le delante de él.
Then beholde, men brought a man lying in a bed, which was taken with a palsie, and they sought meanes to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
19 Y no hallando por donde meterle a causa de la multitud, subieron encima de la casa, y por el tejado le bajaron con la cama en medio, delante de Jesús.
And when they could not finde by what way they might bring him in, because of the preasse, they went vp on the house, and let him downe through the tyling, bed and all, in the middes before Iesus.
20 El cual, viendo la fe de ellos, le dice: Hombre, tus pecados te son perdonados.
And when he sawe their faith, he sayd vnto him, Man, thy sinnes are forgiuen thee.
21 Entonces los escribas y los Fariseos comenzaron a pensar, diciendo: ¿Quién es éste que habla blasfemias? ¿Quién puede perdonar pecados, sino solo Dios?
Then the Scribes and the Pharises began to reason, saying, Who is this that speaketh blasphemies? who can forgiue sinnes, but God onely?
22 Jesús entonces, conociendo los pensamientos de ellos, respondiendo les dijo: ¿Qué pensáis en vuestros corazones?
But when Iesus perceiued their reasoning, he answered, and sayd vnto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
23 ¿Cuál es más fácil; decir: Tus pecados te son perdonados; o decir: Levántate, y anda?
Whether is easier to say, Thy sinnes are forgiuen thee, or to say, Rise and walke?
24 Pues porque sepáis que el Hijo del hombre tiene potestad en la tierra de perdonar pecados, (dice al paralítico: ) A ti digo: Levántate, toma tu cama; y vete a tu casa.
But that ye may know that that Sonne of man hath authoritie to forgiue sinnes in earth, (he sayd vnto the sicke of the palsie) I say to thee, Arise: take vp thy bed, and goe to thine house.
25 Y luego, él, levantándose en presencia de ellos, y tomando aquello en que estaba echado, se fue a su casa glorificando a Dios.
And immediatly he rose vp before them, and tooke vp his bed whereon he lay, and departed to his owne house, praysing God.
26 Y tomó espanto a todos, y glorificaban a Dios; y fueron llenos de temor, diciendo: Hemos visto maravillas hoy.
And they were all amased, and praysed God, and were filled with feare, saying, Doutlesse we haue seene strange things to day.
27 Y después de estas cosas salió; y vio a un publicano llamado Leví, sentado al banco de los tributos, y le dijo: Sígueme.
And after that, he went foorth and sawe a Publicane named Leui, sitting at the receite of custome, and sayd vnto him, Follow me.
28 Y dejadas todas cosas, levantándose, le siguió.
And he left all, rose vp, and folowed him.
29 E hizo Leví un gran banquete en su casa, y había mucha compañía de publicanos, y de otros, los cuales estaban a la mesa con ellos.
Then Leui made him a great feast in his owne house, where there was a great company of Publicanes, and of other that sate at table with them.
30 Y los escribas y los Fariseos murmuraban contra sus discípulos, diciendo: ¿Por qué coméis y bebéis con los publicanos y pecadores?
But they that were Scribes and Pharises among them, murmured against his disciples, saying, Why eate ye and drinke ye with Publicanes and sinners?
31 Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Los que están sanos no han menester médico, sino los que están enfermos.
Then Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, They that are whole, neede not the Physician, but they that are sicke.
32 No he venido a llamar a los justos, sino a los pecadores a arrepentimiento.
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
33 Entonces ellos le dijeron: ¿Por qué los discípulos de Juan ayunan muchas veces, y hacen oraciones, y asimismo los de los Fariseos; mas tus discípulos comen y beben?
Then they said vnto him, Why do the disciples of Iohn fast often, and pray, and the disciples of the Pharises also, but thine eate and drinke?
34 Y él les dijo: ¿Podéis hacer que los que están de bodas ayunen, entre tanto que el esposo está con ellos?
And he said vnto them, Can ye make the children of the wedding chamber to fast, as long as the bridegrome is with them?
35 Empero vendrán días cuando el esposo les será quitado; entonces ayunarán en aquellos días.
But the dayes will come, euen when the bridegrome shalbe taken away from them: then shall they fast in those dayes.
36 Y les decía también una parábola: Nadie pone remiendo de paño nuevo en vestido viejo: de otra manera el nuevo rompe, y al viejo no conviene remiendo nuevo.
Againe he spake also vnto them a parable, No man putteth a piece of a newe garment into an olde vesture: for then the newe renteth it, and the piece taken out of the newe, agreeth not with the olde.
37 Y nadie echa vino nuevo en cueros viejos: de otra manera el vino nuevo romperá los cueros, y el vino se derramará, y los cueros se perderán.
Also no man powreth newe wine into olde vessels: for then ye new wine wil breake the vessels, and it will runne out, and the vessels will perish:
38 Mas el vino nuevo en cueros nuevos se ha de echar; y lo uno y lo otro se conserva.
But newe wine must be powred into newe vessels: so both are preserued.
39 Y ninguno que bebiere el viejo, quiere luego el nuevo; porque dice: El viejo es mejor.
Also no man that drinketh olde wine, straightway desireth newe: for he sayth, The olde is more profitable.
