Génesis 9
1 Y bendijo Dios a Noé y a sus hijos, y díjoles: Fructificad y multiplicad, y henchíd la tierra.
And God blesseth Noah, and his sons, and saith to them, 'Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth;
2 Y vuestro temor y vuestro pavor será sobre todo animal de la tierra, y sobre toda ave de los cielos, en todo lo que se moverá en la tierra, y en todos los peces de la mar: en vuestra mano son entregados.
and your fear and your dread is on every beast of the earth, and on every fowl of the heavens, on all that creepeth on the ground, and on all fishes of the sea — into your hand they have been given.
3 Todo lo que se mueve, que es vivo, tendréis por mantenimiento: como verdura de yerba os lo he dado todo.
Every creeping thing that is alive, to you it is for food; as the green herb I have given to you the whole;
4 Empero la carne con su alma, que es su sangre, no comeréis.
only flesh in its life — its blood — ye do not eat.
5 Porque ciertamente vuestra sangre, que es vuestras almas, yo la demandaré, de mano de todo animal la demandaré, y de mano del hombre, de mano del varón su hermano demandaré el alma del hombre.
'And only your blood for your lives do I require; from the hand of every living thing I require it, and from the hand of man, from the hand of every man's brother I require the life of man;
6 El que derramare sangre de hombre en el hombre, su sangre será derramada; porque a imagen de Dios es hecho el hombre.
whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man is his blood shed: for in the image of God hath He made man.
7 Mas vosotros fructificad y multiplicad, y andád en la tierra, y multiplicad en ella.
And ye, be fruitful and multiply, teem in the earth, and multiply in it.'
8 Y habló Dios a Noé y a sus hijos con él, diciendo:
And God speaketh unto Noah, and unto his sons with him, saying,
9 Yo: he aquí que yo establezco mi concierto con vosotros, y con vuestra simiente, después de vosotros,
'And I, lo, I am establishing My covenant with you, and with your seed after you,
10 Y con toda alma viviente que está con vosotros, en aves, en animales, y en toda bestia de la tierra que está con vosotros, desde todos los que salieron del arca hasta todo animal de la tierra.
and with every living creature which [is] with you, among fowl, among cattle, and among every beast of the earth with you, from all who are going out of the ark — to every beast of the earth.
11 Que yo estableceré mi concierto con vosotros que no será talada más toda carne con aguas de diluvio; y que no habrá más diluvio para destruir la tierra.
And I have established My covenant with you, and all flesh is not any more cut off by waters of a deluge, and there is not any more a deluge to destroy the earth.'
12 Y dijo Dios: Esta será la señal del concierto que yo pongo entre mí y vosotros, y toda alma viviente que está con vosotros, por siglos perpetuos:
And God saith, 'This is a token of the covenant which I am giving between Me and you, and every living creature that [is] with you, to generations age-during;
13 Mi arco pondré en las nubes, el cual será por señal de concierto entre mí y la tierra.
My bow I have given in the cloud, and it hath been for a token of a covenant between Me and the earth;
14 Y será, que cuando yo anublare nubes sobre la tierra, entonces mi arco parecerá en las nubes:
and it hath come to pass (in My sending a cloud over the earth) that the bow hath been seen in the cloud,
15 Y acordarme he de mi concierto que está entre mí y vosotros, y toda alma viviente en toda carne: y no serán más las aguas por diluvio para destruir a toda carne.
and I have remembered My covenant which is between Me and you, and every living creature among all flesh, and the waters become no more a deluge to destroy all flesh;
16 Y estará el arco en las nubes, y verlo he para acordarme del concierto perpetuo entre Dios y toda alma viviente, con toda carne que está sobre la tierra.
and the bow hath been in the cloud, and I have seen it — to remember the covenant age-during between God and every living creature among all flesh which [is] on the earth.'
17 Dijo más Dios a Noé: Esta será la señal del concierto, que he establecido entre mí y toda carne, que está sobre la tierra.
And God saith unto Noah, 'This [is] a token of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that [is] upon the earth.'
18 Y fueron los hijos de Noé, que salieron del arca, Sem, Cam, y Jafet: y Cam es el padre de Canaán.
And the sons of Noah who are going out of the ark are Shem, and Ham, and Japheth; and Ham is father of Canaan.
19 Estos tres son los hijos de Noé, y de estos fue llena toda la tierra.
These three [are] sons of Noah, and from these hath all the earth been overspread.
20 Y comenzó Noé a labrar la tierra, y plantó una viña:
And Noah remaineth a man of the ground, and planteth a vineyard,
21 Y bebió del vino, y embriagóse, y descubrióse en medio de su tienda.
and drinketh of the wine, and is drunken, and uncovereth himself in the midst of the tent.
22 Y vio Cam, el padre de Canaán, la desnudez de su padre, y díjolo a sus dos hermanos en la calle,
And Ham, father of Canaan, seeth the nakedness of his father, and declareth to his two brethren without.
23 Entonces tomó Sem y Jafet la ropa, y pusiéronla sobre sus hombros de ambos, y andando hacia atrás, cubrieron la desnudez de su padre, teniendo vueltos los rostros, que no vieron la desnudez de su padre.
And Shem taketh — Japheth also — the garment, and they place on the shoulder of them both, and go backward, and cover the nakedness of their father; and their faces [are] backward, and their father's nakedness they have not seen.
24 Y despertó Noé de su vino, y supo lo que había hecho con él su hijo el pequeño,
And Noah awaketh from his wine, and knoweth that which his young son hath done to him,
25 Y dijo: Maldito sea Canaán, siervo de siervos será a sus hermanos.
and saith: 'Cursed [is] Canaan, Servant of servants he is to his brethren.'
26 Dijo más: Bendito Jehová el Dios de Sem, y séale Canaán siervo.
And he saith: 'Blessed of Jehovah my God [is] Shem, And Canaan is servant to him.
27 Ensanche Dios a Jafet, y habite en las tiendas de Sem, y séale Canaán siervo.
God doth give beauty to Japheth, And he dwelleth in tents of Shem, And Canaan is servant to him.'
28 Y vivió Noé, después del diluvio, trescientos y cincuenta años.
And Noah liveth after the deluge three hundred and fifty years;
29 Y fueron todos los días de Noé novecientos y cincuenta años, y murió.
and all the days of Noah are nine hundred and fifty years, and he dieth.
