San Lucas 16
1 Dijo también a los discípulos: Un rico tenía un mayordomo quien fue acusado de malgastar los bienes de su señor.
And he also said to his disciples, There was a certain rich man who had a manager, and this man was accused to him as squandering things possessed by him.
2 Lo llamó y le preguntó: ¿Qué es esto que oigo con respecto a ti? Rinde la cuenta de tu mayordomía, porque ya no puedes ser mayordomo.
And having called him, he said to him, What is this I hear about thee? Render the account of thy management, for thou can no longer manage.
3 Entonces el mayordomo se dijo: ¿Qué haré porque mi señor me quita la mayordomía? No puedo cavar. Me da avergüenza mendigar.
And the manager said within himself, What shall I do because my lord takes away the management from me? I am not able to dig. I am ashamed to beg.
4 Sé lo que haré para que cuando se me quite la mayordomía me reciban en las casas de ellos.
I know what I will do, so that when I am removed from the management they may receive me into their houses.
5 Llamó a cada uno de los deudores de su señor y preguntó al primero: ¿Cuánto debes a mi señor?
And having summoned each one of his lord's debtors, he said to the first, How much do thou owe to my lord?
6 Él contestó: 100 barriles de aceite. Y el mayordomo le dijo: Toma las facturas, siéntate pronto y escribe 50.
And he said, A hundred measures of olive oil. And he said to him, Receive thy document, and having sat down, quickly write fifty.
7 Luego preguntó a otro: ¿Y tú, cuánto debes? Y él respondió: 100 medidas de trigo. Le dijo: Toma las facturas y escribe 80.
Next he said to another, And how much do thou owe? And he said, A hundred measures of wheat. And he says to him, Receive thy document, and write eighty.
8 El señor elogió al mayordomo de la injusticia porque actuó sagazmente. Porque con respecto a su generación, los hijos de este siglo son más sagaces que los hijos de la luz. (aiōn g165)
And his lord commended the unrighteous manager because he did shrewdly. Because the sons of this age are shrewder in their own generation than the sons of the light. (aiōn g165)
9 Yo les digo: Consigan amigos por medio de las riquezas injustas, para que cuando falte [algo], los reciban en las moradas eternas. (aiōnios g166)
And I say to you, make friends for yourselves from the mammon of unrighteousness, so that, when ye cease, they may receive you into the eternal dwellings. (aiōnios g166)
10 El que es fiel en lo muy poco, también es fiel en lo mucho, y el que en lo muy poco es injusto, también en lo mucho es injusto.
The man faithful in the least is faithful also in much, and the man unrighteous in the least is unrighteous also in much.
11 Así que, si en la riqueza injusta no fueron fieles, ¿quién les confiará lo verdadero?
If therefore ye did not become faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will entrust to you what is true?
12 Y si en lo ajeno no fueron fieles, ¿quién les dará a ustedes lo que le pertenece a él?
And if ye did not become faithful in the alien, who will give thine to you?
13 Ningún esclavo doméstico puede servir como esclavo a dos señores, porque despreciará al uno y apreciará al otro, o estimará al uno y desestimará al otro. No pueden servir como esclavos a Dios y a la riqueza injusta.
No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
14 Los fariseos, quienes eran amigos del dinero, oían todo esto y se burlaban de Él.
And the Pharisees, being lovers of money, heard all these things, and they sneered him.
15 Entonces les dijo: Ustedes se declaran justos delante de los hombres, pero Dios conoce sus corazones, porque lo sublime entre hombres, delante de Dios es repugnancia.
And he said to them, Ye are those who declare yourselves righteous in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts. Because what is lofty among men is an abomination in the sight of God.
16 La Ley y los profetas se proclamaron hasta Juan. Desde entonces se proclama el reino de Dios, y todos se esfuerzan por entrar en él.
The law and the prophets were until John. From that time the kingdom of God is proclaimed good news, and every man in it is treated aggressively.
17 Pero es más fácil que desaparezcan el cielo y la tierra que caiga un trazo de [una] letra de la Ley.
But it is easier for the heaven and the earth to pass away, than for one tittle of the law to fall.
18 Todo el que repudia a su esposa y se casa con otra, adultera, y el que se casa con la repudiada, adultera.
Every man who divorces his wife and marries another, commits adultery, and every man who marries her who has been divorced from a husband commits adultery.
19 Había un hombre rico que se vestía de púrpura y lino fino y se regocijaba con esplendidez cada día.
Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, faring sumptuously daily.
20 Un mendigo llamado Lázaro, cubierto de llagas, era colocado a su puerta.
But there was a certain poor man named Lazarus, who had been placed near his gate, covered with sores,
21 Deseaba saciarse con lo que caía de la mesa del rico. Aun los perros llegaban y le lamían las llagas.
and longing to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table. But even the dogs that came licked his sores.
22 Sucedió que murió el mendigo y fue llevado por los ángeles al seno de Abraham. Murió también el rico y fue sepultado.
And it came to pass for the poor man to die and be carried by the agents to Abraham's bosom. And the rich man also died and was buried.
23 Cuando estaba en tormentos en el infierno levantó sus ojos y vio a Abraham desde lejos y a Lázaro en el seno de él. (Hadēs g86)
And having lifted up his eyes in Hades, being in torments, he sees Abraham from afar and Lazarus by his bosom. (Hadēs g86)
24 Clamó: Padre Abraham, ten misericordia de mí. Envía a Lázaro para que moje la punta de su dedo en agua y refresque mi lengua, porque estoy atormentado en esta llama.
And having cried out, he said, Father Abraham, be merciful to me, and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this flame.
25 Abraham le contestó: Hijo, recuerda que recibiste tus bienes en tu vida, y Lázaro también los males. Pero ahora es consolado aquí, y tú atormentado.
But Abraham said, Child, remember that thou in thy lifetime received thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things. But now here he is comforted and thou are in agony.
26 Además de todo esto, entre nosotros y ustedes fue establecida una gran sima, de modo que los que quieren cruzar de aquí a ustedes no puedan, ni de allá cruzar hacia nosotros.
And besides all these things, between us and you a great chasm is fixed, so that those here who want to cross over to you are not able, nor may those go across from there to us.
27 Entonces exclamó: Padre, te ruego que lo envíes a la casa de mi padre,
And he said, I beg thee therefore, father, that thou would send him to my father's house,
28 porque tengo cinco hermanos, para que les advierta a fin de que no vengan ellos a este lugar de tormento.
for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
29 Y Abraham respondió: A Moisés y a los profetas tienen. ¡Óiganlos!
But Abraham says to him, They have Moses and the prophets. Let them hear them.
30 Entonces él dijo: No, padre Abraham. Pero si alguno de [los] muertos fuera a ellos, cambiarán su mente.
And he said, No, father Abraham, but if some man would go to them from the dead they will repent.
31 Y le contestó: Si no escuchan a Moisés y a los profetas, tampoco se convencerán si alguno apareciera de entre [los] muertos.
And he said to him, If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if some man would rise from the dead.
