Ezequiel 12

1 También vino a mí la palabra de Yahvé, diciendo:

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

2 “Hijo de hombre, tú habitas en medio de la casa rebelde, que tiene ojos para ver y no ve, que tiene oídos para oír y no oye; porque es una casa rebelde.

Son of man, you dwell in the midst of the iniquities of those, who have eyes to see, and see not; and have ears to hear, and hear not: because it is a provoking house.

3 “Por lo tanto, tú, hijo de hombre, prepara tu equipaje para mudarte y muévete de día a la vista de ellos. Te trasladarás de tu lugar a otro lugar a la vista de ellos. Puede ser que lo consideren, aunque son una casa rebelde.

You therefore, son of man, prepare yourself baggage for going into captivity by day in their sight; and you shall be led into captivity from your place into another place in their sight; that they may see that it is a provoking house.

4 Sacarás tu equipaje de día a la vista de ellos, como equipaje de mudanza. Saldrás tú mismo al atardecer a la vista de ellos, como cuando los hombres salen al destierro.

And you shall carry forth your baggage, baggage for captivity, by day before their eyes: and you shall go forth at even, as a captive goes forth, in their sight.

5 A la vista de ellos, cava a través del muro y saca tu equipaje por ahí.

Dig for yourself into the wall [of the house], and you shall pass through it in their sight:

6 A la vista de ellos lo llevarás al hombro y lo sacarás en la oscuridad. Te cubrirás el rostro para no ver la tierra, porque te he puesto como señal para la casa de Israel.”

you shall be lifted up on [men's] shoulders, and shall go forth in secret: you shall cover your face, and shall not see the ground: because I have made you a sign to the house of Israel.

7 Lo hice como se me ordenó. Saqué mi equipaje de día, como equipaje de mudanza, y al atardecer cavé a través del muro con la mano. Lo saqué en la oscuridad, y lo llevé al hombro a la vista de ellos.

And I did thus according to all that he commanded me; and I carried forth my baggage for captivity by day, and in the evening I dug through the wall for myself, and went out secretly; I was taken up on [men's] shoulders before them.

8 Por la mañana, me llegó la palabra de Yahvé, diciendo:

And the word of the Lord came to me in the morning, saying,

9 “Hijo de hombre, ¿no te ha dicho la casa de Israel, la casa rebelde, ‘qué haces’?

Son of man, have not the house of Israel, the provoking house, said to you, What do you?

10 “Diles: El Señor Yahvé dice: “Esta carga concierne al príncipe en Jerusalén y a toda la casa de Israel entre los que se encuentran”.

Say to them, Thus says the Lord God, the Prince and the Ruler in Israel, even to all the house of Israel who are in the midst of them:

11 “Di: ‘Yo soy tu signo. Como yo he hecho, así se hará con ellos. Irán al exilio, al cautiverio.

say, I am performing signs: as I have done, so shall it be to him: they shall go into banishment and captivity.

12 “‘El príncipe que esté entre ellos llevará su equipaje al hombro en la oscuridad y saldrá. Cavarán a través de la pared para sacar las cosas de esa manera. Se cubrirá el rostro, porque no verá la tierra con sus ojos.

And the prince in the midst of them shall be borne upon shoulders, and shall go forth in secret through the wall, and shall dig so that he may go forth thereby: he shall cover his face, that he may not be seen by [any] eye, and he himself shall not see the ground.

13 También tenderé mi red sobre él, y será atrapado en mi trampa. Lo llevaré a Babilonia, a la tierra de los caldeos; pero no la verá, aunque morirá allí.

And I will spread out my net upon him, and he shall be caught in my toils: and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; but he shall not see it, though he shall die there.

14 Esparciré hacia todos los vientos a todos los que lo rodean para ayudarlo, y a todas sus bandas. Sacaré la espada tras ellos.

And I will scatter to every wind all his assistants round about him, and all that help him; and I will draw out a sword after them;

15 “‘Sabrán que yo soy Yahvé cuando los disperse entre las naciones y los esparza por los países.

And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have scattered them amongst the nations; and I will disperse them in the countries.

16 Pero dejaré unos pocos hombres de ellos de la espada, del hambre y de la peste, para que declaren todas sus abominaciones entre las naciones a las que lleguen. Entonces sabrán que yo soy Yahvé”.

And I will leave of them [a few] men in number [spared] from the sword, and from famine, and pestilence; that they may declare all their iniquities amongst the nations whither they have gone; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

17 Y vino a mí la palabra de Yahvé, diciendo:

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

18 “Hijo de hombre, come tu pan con temblor, y bebe tu agua con temblor y con miedo.

Son of man, eat your bread with sorrow, and drink [your] water with torment and affliction.

19 Dile al pueblo de la tierra: “El Señor Yahvé dice respecto a los habitantes de Jerusalén y de la tierra de Israel “Comerán su pan con temor y beberán su agua con espanto, para que su tierra quede desolada, y todo lo que hay en ella, a causa de la violencia de todos los que la habitan.

And you shall say to the people of the land, Thus says the Lord to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, on the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread in scarcity, and shall drink their water in desolation, that the land may be desolate with all that it contains: for all that dwell in it are ungodly.

20 Las ciudades habitadas serán asoladas, y la tierra será una desolación. Entonces sabrás que yo soy Yahvé”.

And their inhabited cities shall be laid utterly waste, and the land shall be desolate; and you shall know that I am the Lord.

21 La palabra de Yahvé vino a mí, diciendo:

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

22 “Hijo de hombre, ¿qué es ese proverbio que tienes en la tierra de Israel, que dice: “Los días se prolongan, y toda visión se cumple”?

Son of man, what is your parable on the land of Israel, that you say, The days are long, the vision has perished?

23 Diles, pues, que el Señor Yahvé dice: “Haré cesar este proverbio, y no lo usarán más como proverbio en Israel;” sino que diles: “Los días están cerca, y el cumplimiento de toda visión.

Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord; I will even set aside this parable, and the house of Israel shall no more at all use this parable: for you shall say to them, The days are at hand, and the import of every vision.

24 Porque ya no habrá más visión falsa ni adivinación lisonjera en la casa de Israel.

For there shall no more be any false vision, nor any one prophesying flatteries in the midst of the children of Israel.

25 Porque yo soy Yahvé. Yo hablaré, y la palabra que yo hable se cumplirá. Ya no se aplazará más; porque en vuestros días, casa rebelde, hablaré la palabra y la cumpliré”, dice el Señor Yahvé”.

For I the Lord will speak my words; I will speak and perform [them], and will no more delay, for in your days, O provoking house, I will speak the word, and will perform [it], says the Lord.

26 Otra vez vino a mí la palabra de Yahvé, diciendo:

Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

27 “Hijo de hombre, he aquí que los de la casa de Israel dicen: ‘La visión que él ve es para muchos días venideros, y profetiza de tiempos lejanos’.

Son of man, behold, the provoking house of Israel boldly say, The vision which this man sees is for many days, and he prophesies for times afar off.

28 “Por lo tanto, diles: “El Señor Yahvé dice: “Ninguna de mis palabras se aplazará más, sino que se cumplirá la palabra que yo diga”, dice el Señor Yahvé”.

Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord; Henceforth none of my words shall linger, which I shall speak: I will speak and do, says the Lord.
