2 Crónicas 30

1 Ezequías envió a todo Israel y a Judá, y escribió también cartas a Efraín y a Manasés, para que vinieran a la casa de Yahvé en Jerusalén, a celebrar la Pascua a Yahvé, el Dios de Israel.

And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, to keep the passover to the LORD God of Israel.

2 Porque el rey había aconsejado a sus príncipes y a toda la asamblea de Jerusalén que celebraran la Pascua en el segundo mes.

For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, to keep the passover in the second month.

3 Pues no podían celebrarla en ese momento, porque los sacerdotes no se habían santificado en número suficiente, y el pueblo no se había reunido en Jerusalén.

For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves sufficiently, neither had the people assembled themselves at Jerusalem.

4 La cosa era justa a los ojos del rey y de toda la asamblea.

And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation.

5 Así que establecieron un decreto para hacer la proclamación en todo Israel, desde Beerseba hasta Dan, de que debían venir a celebrar la Pascua a Yahvé, el Dios de Israel, en Jerusalén, porque no la habían celebrado en gran número en la forma en que está escrito.

So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beer-sheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the passover to the LORD God of Israel at Jerusalem: for they had not done [it] of a long [time in the manner] as it was written.

6 Así que los mensajeros fueron con las cartas del rey y de sus príncipes por todo Israel y Judá, según el mandato del rey, diciendo: “Ustedes, hijos de Israel, vuélvanse a Yahvé, el Dios de Abraham, de Isaac y de Israel, para que él regrese al remanente de ustedes que ha escapado de la mano de los reyes de Asiria.

So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again to the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you that have escaped from the hand of the kings of Assyria.

7 No seáis como vuestros padres y como vuestros hermanos, que prevaricaron contra Yahvé, el Dios de sus padres, de modo que él los entregó a la desolación, como veis.

And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, who trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, [who] therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye see.

8 Ahora no seáis de cuello duro, como vuestros padres, sino someteos a Yahvé, y entrad en su santuario, que él ha santificado para siempre, y servid a Yahvé vuestro Dios, para que se aparte de vosotros su furia.

Now be ye not stiff-necked, as your fathers [were], [but] yield yourselves to the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.

9 Porque si os volvéis a Yahvé, vuestros hermanos y vuestros hijos encontrarán compasión con los que los llevaron cautivos, y volverán a esta tierra, porque Yahvé, vuestro Dios, es clemente y misericordioso, y no apartará su rostro de vosotros si os volvéis a él.”

For if ye turn again to the LORD, your brethren and your children [will find] compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they will return into this land: for the LORD your God [is] gracious and merciful, and will not turn away [his] face from you, if ye return to him.

10 Así que los mensajeros pasaron de ciudad en ciudad por el país de Efraín y Manasés, hasta llegar a Zabulón, pero la gente los ridiculizaba y se burlaba de ellos.

So the posts passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh even to Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorn, and mocked them.

11 Sin embargo, algunos hombres de Aser, Manasés y Zabulón se humillaron y llegaron a Jerusalén.

Nevertheless, divers of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.

12 También la mano de Dios vino sobre Judá para darles un solo corazón, para cumplir el mandato del rey y de los príncipes por palabra de Yahvé.

Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD.

13 Mucha gente se reunió en Jerusalén para celebrar la fiesta de los panes sin levadura en el segundo mes, una asamblea muy grande.

And there assembled at Jerusalem many people to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great congregation.

14 Se levantaron y quitaron los altares que había en Jerusalén, y se llevaron todos los altares para el incienso y los arrojaron al arroyo Cedrón.

And they arose and took away the altars that [were] in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense they took away, and cast [them] into the brook Kidron.

15 Luego sacrificaron la Pascua el día catorce del segundo mes. Los sacerdotes y los levitas se avergonzaron, se santificaron y trajeron holocaustos a la casa de Yahvé.

Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth [day] of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt-offerings into the house of the LORD.

16 Se colocaron en su lugar, según su orden, de acuerdo con la ley de Moisés, el hombre de Dios. Los sacerdotes rociaban la sangre que recibían de la mano de los levitas.

And they stood in their place after their manner, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, [which they received] from the hand of the Levites.

17 Porque había muchos en la asamblea que no se habían santificado; por eso los levitas estaban encargados de matar las pascuas de todos los que no estaban limpios, para santificarlos a Yahvé.

For [there were] many in the congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites had the charge of the killing of the passovers for every one [that was] not clean, to sanctify [them] to the LORD.

18 Porque una multitud del pueblo, incluso muchos de Efraín, Manasés, Isacar y Zabulón, no se habían purificado, y sin embargo comían la Pascua de manera distinta a como está escrito. Pues Ezequías había orado por ellos, diciendo: “Que el buen Yahvé perdone a todos

For a multitude of the people, [even] many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good LORD pardon every one,

19 que pongan su corazón a buscar a Dios, Yahvé, el Dios de sus padres, aunque no estén limpios según la purificación del santuario.”

[That] prepareth his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though [he is] not [cleansed] according to the purification of the sanctuary.

20 El Señor escuchó a Ezequías y sanó al pueblo.

And the LORD hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.

21 Los hijos de Israel que estaban en Jerusalén celebraron la fiesta de los panes sin levadura durante siete días con gran alegría. Los levitas y los sacerdotes alababan a Yahvé todos los días, cantando con instrumentos fuertes a Yahvé.

And the children of Israel [that were] present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the LORD day by day, [singing] with loud instruments to the LORD.

22 Ezequías hablaba con ánimo a todos los levitas que tenían buen entendimiento en el servicio de Yahvé. Así comieron durante los siete días de la fiesta, ofreciendo sacrificios de ofrendas de paz y confesando a Yahvé, el Dios de sus padres.

And Hezekiah spoke comfortably to all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the LORD: and they ate throughout the feast seven days, offering peace-offerings, and making confession to the LORD God of their fathers.

23 Toda la asamblea tomó el consejo de celebrar otros siete días, y celebraron otros siete días con alegría.

And the whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days: and they kept [other] seven days with gladness.

24 Porque Ezequías, rey de Judá, dio a la asamblea como ofrendas mil toros y siete mil ovejas, y los príncipes dieron a la asamblea mil toros y diez mil ovejas; y un gran número de sacerdotes se santificó.

For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.

25 Toda la asamblea de Judá, con los sacerdotes y los levitas, y toda la asamblea que salió de Israel, y los extranjeros que salieron del país de Israel y que vivían en Judá, se alegraron.

And all the congregation of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came from the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Judah, rejoiced.

26 Hubo, pues, gran alegría en Jerusalén; porque desde los tiempos de Salomón hijo de David, rey de Israel, no había habido nada semejante en Jerusalén.

So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel [there was] not the like in Jerusalem.

27 Entonces los sacerdotes levitas se levantaron y bendijeron al pueblo. Su voz fue escuchada, y su oración subió hasta su santa morada, hasta el cielo.

Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer ascended to his holy dwelling-place, [even] to heaven.
