Zacarías 2
1 Alcé entonces mis ojos, y miré, y vi a un hombre que tenía en su mano una cuerda de medir.
I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand.
2 Le pregunté: «¿A dónde vas?» «A medir a Jerusalén», me contestó. «Quiero ver cuánta es su anchura, y cuánta su longitud.»
Then I asked, “Where are you going?” He said to me, “To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its width and what is its length.”
3 Y he aquí que el ángel que hablaba conmigo salió fuera, y otro ángel vino a su encuentro.
Behold, the angel who talked with me went out, and another angel went out to meet him,
4 y le dijo: «Corre, habla a ese joven y dile: Sin muros será habitada Jerusalén, a causa de la multitud de hombres y animales que habrá en ella.»
and said to him, “Run, speak to this young man, saying, ‘Jerusalem will be inhabited as villages without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it.
5 Porque Yo mismo, dice Yahvé, la circundaré como muralla de fuego; y seré glorificado en medio de ella.
For I,’ says the LORD, ‘will be to her a wall of fire around it, and I will be the glory in the middle of her.
6 ¡Ay, ay! Huid de la tierra del Norte, dice Yahvé; porque por los cuatro vientos del cielo os dispersaré, dice Yahvé.
Come! Come! Flee from the land of the north,’ says the LORD; ‘for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the sky,’ says the LORD.
7 ¡Sálvate, oh Sión, tú que habitas en Babilonia!
‘Come, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.’
8 Porque así dice Yahvé de los ejércitos, el cual me ha enviado, para gloria suya, a los pueblos que os despojaron: Quien os toca a vosotros, toca a la niña de sus ojos.
For the LORD of Armies says: ‘For honour he has sent me to the nations which plundered you; for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye.
9 He aquí que extiendo sobre ellos mi mano, y serán presa de los que fueron sus esclavos. Y conoceréis que Yahvé de los ejércitos me ha enviado.
For, behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they will be a plunder to those who served them; and you will know that the LORD of Armies has sent me.
10 ¡Canta y alégrate, hija de Sión! pues he aquí que vengo, y moraré en medio de ti, dice Yahvé.
Sing and rejoice, daughter of Zion! For behold, I come and I will dwell within you,’ says the LORD.
11 En aquel día se allegarán a Yahvé muchas naciones y serán el pueblo mío. Yo habitaré en medio de ti, y conocerás que Yahvé de los ejércitos me ha enviado a ti.
Many nations shall join themselves to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell amongst you, and you shall know that the LORD of Armies has sent me to you.
12 Yahvé ocupará a Judá como porción suya, en la tierra santa, y escogerá de nuevo a Jerusalén.
The LORD will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.
13 Calle toda carne ante Yahvé, porque se levanta ya de su santa morada.
Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD; for he has roused himself from his holy habitation!”
