Salmos 138

1 De David. Quiero celebrarte, Yahvé, con todo mi corazón, porque oíste las palabras de mi boca; quiero cantarte delante de los reyes.

By David. I will give you thanks with my whole heart. Before the gods, I will sing praises to you.

2 Me postraré ante tu santo Templo, y alabaré tu Nombre por tu misericordia y tu fidelidad; porque has engrandecido tu Palabra sobre todas las cosas.

I will bow down towards your holy temple, and give thanks to your Name for your loving kindness and for your truth; for you have exalted your Name and your Word above all.

3 El día en que (te) invoqué Tú me oíste y multiplicaste la fuerza en mi alma.

In the day that I called, you answered me. You encouraged me with strength in my soul.

4 Te alabarán, Yahvé, todos los reyes de la tierra cuando hayan oído los oráculos de tu boca;

All the kings of the earth will give you thanks, LORD, for they have heard the words of your mouth.

5 y cantarán los caminos de Yahvé: “Grande es ciertamente la gloria de Yahvé.

Yes, they will sing of the ways of the LORD, for the LORD’s glory is great!

6 Sí, Yahvé, siendo excelso, pone los ojos en el humilde y mira como lejos de sí al soberbio.”

For though the LORD is high, yet he looks after the lowly; but he knows the proud from afar.

7 Cuando camino en medio de la tribulación, Tú conservas mi vida; tiendes tu mano contra la ira de mis enemigos, y tu diestra me salva.

Though I walk in the middle of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me.

8 Yahvé acabará para mí lo que ha comenzado. Yahvé, tu misericordia permanece eternamente; no abandones la obra de tus manos.

The LORD will fulfil that which concerns me. Your loving kindness, LORD, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands.
