Josué 6
1 Jericó tenía bien atrancadas las puertas por miedo a los hijos de Israel; nadie podía salir ni entrar.
Forsothe Jerico was closid and wardid, for the drede of the sones of Israel, and no man durste entre, ethir go out.
2 Entonces dijo Yahvé a Josué: “Mira, Yo he entregado en tus manos a Jericó y su rey y sus valientes de guerra.
And the Lord seide to Josue, Lo! Y yaf in to thin hondis Jerico, and the king therof, and alle strong men.
3 Dad una vuelta a la ciudad haciendo un giro en torno a ella, todos los hombres de guerra. Así haréis por seis días,
Alle ye fiyteris, cumpasse the citee onys bi the day; so ye schulen do in sixe daies.
4 llevando siete sacerdotes siete trompetas de cuernos de carnero delante del Arca. Mas al día séptimo daréis la vuelta a la ciudad siete veces y los sacerdotes tocarán las trompetas.
Forsothe in the seuenthe dai the preestis schulen take seuene clariouns, of whiche `the vss is in iubile; and thei schulen go bifor the arke of boond of pees; and seuen sithes ye schulen cumpasse the citee, and the preestis schulen trumpe with clariouns.
5 Y cuando ellos saquen del cuerno de carnero sonidos más continuados, y vosotros oigáis su sonido, todo el pueblo gritará con grande algazara, y se derrumbara la muralla de la ciudad, y subirá el pueblo cada uno por la parte que tenga delante.”
And whanne the vois of the trumpe schal sowne lengere, and more bi whiles, and schal sowne in youre eeris, al the puple schal crie togidere with gretteste cry; and the wallis of the citee schulen falle alle doun, and alle men schulen entre bi the place, ayens which thei stonden.
6 Entonces llamó Josué, hijo de Nun, a los sacerdotes y les dijo: “Llevad el Arca de la Alianza, y siete sacerdotes vayan con siete trompetas de cuerno de carnero delante del Arca de Yahvé.”
Therfor Josue, the sone of Nun, clepide preestis, and seide to hem, Take ye the ark of boond of pees, and seuene othere preestis take seuene clariouns of iubile yeeris, and go thei bifor the arke of the Lord.
7 Al pueblo le dijo: “Pasad y dad vuelta a la ciudad; y los hombres armados marcharán delante del Arca de Yahvé.”
Also Josue seide to the puple, Go ye, and cumpasse ye the citee, and go ye armed bifor the arke of the Lord.
8 Luego que Josué hubo dado esta orden al pueblo, los siete sacerdotes con las siete trompetas de cuerno de carnero marchaban delante de Yahvé y comenzaron a tocar las trompetas, mientras el Arca de la Alianza de Yahvé seguía tras ellos.
And whanne Josue hadde endid the wordis, and seuene preestis trumpiden with seuen clariouns bifor the arke of boond of pees of the Lord,
9 Al frente de los sacerdotes que tocaban las trompetas marchaban los hombres armados, y el resto del pueblo iba tras el Arca. Y mientras caminaban resonaron las trompetas.
and al the puple armed yede bifore, the tothir comyn puple of fiyteris suede the arke, and alle thingis sowneden with clariouns.
10 Josué había mandado al pueblo, diciendo: “No gritéis, ni dejéis oír vuestra voz, ni salga de vuestra boca palabra alguna hasta el día en que yo os diga: ¡Gritad! Entonces gritaréis.”
Sotheli Josue comaundide to the puple, and seide, Ye schulen not crye, nethir youre vois schal be herd, nethir ony word schal go out of youre mouth, til the dai come, in which Y schal seie to you, Crye ye, and make ye noyse.
11 Hizo que el Arca de Yahvé diera la vuelta a la ciudad, rodeándola una sola vez; y volviéndose al campamento pasaron allí la noche.
Therfor the arke of the Lord cumpasside the citee onys bi day, and turnede ayen in to the castels, and dwellide there.
12 Al día siguiente Josué se levantó muy temprano, y los sacerdotes llevaron el Arca de Yahvé.
Therfor while Josue roos bi nyyt, preestis tooken the arke of the Lord;
13 Los siete sacerdotes que llevaban las siete trompetas de cuerno de carnero marchaban delante del Arca de Yahvé, tocando las trompetas. Los hombres armados iban delante de ellos, y el resto del pueblo seguía tras el Arca de Yahvé, y durante la marcha resonaban las trompetas.
and seuene of the preestis token seuen clariouns, of whiche `the vss is in iubilee, and yeden bifor the arke of the Lord, `and yeden, and trumpiden; and the puple yede armed bifor hem. Sotheli the tother comyn puple suede the arke, and sownede with clariouns.
14 Asimismo dieron una vuelta a la ciudad el segundo día y se volvieron al campamento. Eso mismo hicieron por seis días.
And thei cumpassiden the citee in the secunde dai onys, and turneden ayen in to the castels; so thei dyden in sixe daies.
15 Al séptimo día se levantaron muy temprano, al despuntar el alba, y de la misma manera dieron siete veces la vuelta a la ciudad; solo aquel día dieron la vuelta a la ciudad siete veces.
Sotheli in the seuenthe dai thei risiden eerli, and cumpassiden the citee, as it was disposid, seuen sithis.
16 Y cuando a la séptima vez los sacerdotes tocaron las trompetas, dijo Josué al pueblo: “¡Gritad, pues Yahvé os ha entregado la ciudad!
And whanne in the seuenthe cumpas preestis sowneden with clariouns, Josue seide to al Israel, Crie ye, for the Lord hath bitake the citee to vs;
17 Y será la ciudad anatema para Yahvé, ella, y cuanto hubiere en ella. Solamente Rahab, la ramera, vivirá, ella y todos los que se hallen con ella en su casa, por cuanto escondió a los exploradores que habíamos enviado.
and this citee be cursid, ethir distried, and alle thingis that ben therynne be halewid to the Lord. Raab the hoor aloone lyue, with alle men that ben with hir in the hows; for sche hidde the messangeris whiche we senten.
18 Pero guardaos bien de lo consagrado al anatema, no sea que apropiándoos cosa alguna consagrada al anatema, os hagáis anatema, y hagáis anatema también el campamento de Israel y lo llevéis a la perdición.
Forsothe be ye war, lest ye touchen ony thing of these that ben comaundid to you, and ye ben gilti of trespassyng; and alle the castels of Israel be vndur synne, and be troblid.
19 Toda la plata, todo el oro, y todos los objetos de bronce y de hierro, serán consagrados a Yahvé y han de entrar al tesoro de Yahvé.”
Sotheli what euer thing is of gold, and of siluer, and of brasun vessels, and of yrun, be halewid to the Lord, and be kept in hise tresoris.
20 Entonces el pueblo levantó el grito, y resonaban las trompetas. Y cuando el pueblo oyó el sonido de la trompeta, comenzó a gritar con grande algazara, y se derrumbó la muralla, y el pueblo subió a la ciudad, cada uno por la parte que tenía frente a sí, y tomaron la ciudad.
Therfor while al the puple criede, and the trumpis sowneden, aftir that the sowne sownede in the eeris of the multitude, the walles felden doun anoon; and ech man stiede bi the place that was ayens hym. And thei token the citee,
21 Y consagraron al anatema cuanto había en la ciudad, hombres y mujeres, niños y viejos, bueyes, ovejas y asnos.
and killiden alle thingis that weren therynne, fro man `til to womman, fro yong child `til to eld man; also thei smytiden bi the scharpnesse of swerd, oxun, and scheep, and assis.
22 Entonces Josué dijo a aquellos dos hombres que habían explorado el país: “Entrad en casa de la ramera y sacad de allí a la mujer con todos los suyos, conforme se lo jurasteis.”
Forsothe Josue seide to twei men, that weren sent aspieris, Entre ye in to the hows of the womman hoore, and brynge ye forth hir, and alle thingis that ben herne, as ye maden stedfast to hir bi an ooth.
23 Entraron los jóvenes, los espías, y sacaron a Rahab, a su padre, a su madre, a sus hermanos y a todos los suyos. Sacaron a todos los de su familia y los metieron en un lugar fuera del campamento de Israel.
And the yonge men entriden, and ledden out Raab, and her fadir, and modir, and britheren, and al the purtenaunce of houshold, and the kynrede `of hir; and maden to dwelle without the castels of Israel.
24 Después abrasaron la ciudad con cuanto en ella había, menos la plata y el oro y los objetos de bronce y de hierro, que pusieron en el tesoro de la Casa de Yahvé.
Sotheli thei brenten the citee, and alle thingis that weren foundun therynne, without gold, and siluer, and brasun vesselis, and yrun, which thei halewiden in to the `treserie of the Lord.
25 Mas conservó Josué la vida a Rahab la ramera y a la casa de su padre y a todos los suyos. Ella habita en medio de Israel hasta el día de hoy por haber ocultado a los mensajeros que Josué había enviado para espiar a Jericó.
Sotheli Josue made Raab the hoore to lyue, and `the hows of hir fadir, and alle thingis that sche hadde; and thei dwelliden in the myddis of Israel, `til in to present dai; for sche hidde the messangeris, whiche he sente to asspie Jerico. In that tyme Josue preiede hertli,
26 En aquel tiempo juró Josué diciendo: “¡Maldito ante Yahvé sea quien se atreva a reedificar esta ciudad de Jericó! Al precio de su primogénito eche los cimientos de ella y a costa de su hijo menor coloque sus puertas.”
and seide, Cursid bifor the Lord be the man, that reisith and bildith the citee of Jerico! Leie he the foundementis therof in his firste gendrid sone, and putte he the yatis therof in the laste of fre children.
27 De esta manera acompañó Yahvé a Josué, y su fama se divulgó por todo el país.
Therfor the Lord was with Josue, and his name was pupplischid in ech lond.
