< Matayos 5 >

1 Markuu dadkii badnaa arkay ayuu buur fuulay, markaasuu fadhiistay oo xertiisa ayaa u timid.
On seeing the crowds of people, Jesus went up the hill; and, when he had taken his seat, his disciples came up to him;
2 Kolkaasuu afkiisa kala qaaday oo wax baray, isagoo leh.
and he began to teach them, saying:
3 Waxaa barakaysan kuwa xagga ruuxa ka masaakiin ah, waayo, boqortooyada jannada iyagaa leh.
‘Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Waxaa barakaysan kuwa baroorta, waayo, waa la qalbiqabowjin doonaa.
Blessed are the mourners, for they will be comforted.
5 Waxaa barakaysan kuwa camal qabow, waayo, dhulkay dhaxli doonaan.
Blessed are the gentle, for they will inherit the earth.
6 Waxaa barakaysan kuwa xaqnimada u gaajaysan oo u harraadsan, waayo, way dhergi doonaan.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.
7 Waxaa barakaysan kuwa naxariista leh, waayo, waa loo naxariisan doonaa.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will find mercy.
8 Waxaa barakaysan kuwa qalbiga ka daahirsan, waayo, Ilaah bay arki doonaan.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
9 Waxaa barakaysan kuwa nabadda ka shaqeeyaa, waayo, waxaa loogu yeedhi doonaa wiilashii Ilaah.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
10 Waxaa barakaysan kuwa xaqnimada aawadeed loo silciyo, waayo, boqortooyada jannada iyagaa leh.
Blessed are those who have been persecuted in the cause of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Waad barakaysan tihiin goortii laydin caayo, oo laydin silciyo, oo wax walba oo xun oo been ah laydinka sheego aawaday.
‘Blessed are you when people insult you, and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil lies about you because of me.
12 Farxa oo reyreeya, waayo, jannada abaalgudkiinnu waa ku weyn yahay, waayo, sidaasay u silcin jireen nebiyadii idinka horreeyey.
Be glad and rejoice, because your reward in heaven will be great; this is the way they persecuted the prophets who lived before you.
13 Idinku waxaad tihiin cusbadii dhulka, laakiin haddii cusbadu dhadhan beesho, maxaa lagu cusbaynayaa? Dabadeed waxba tari mayso in dibadda loo tuuro oo dadku ku tunto maahee.
‘You are salt for the world. But if salt becomes tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown away, and trampled underfoot.
14 Idinku waxaad tihiin iftiinkii dunida. Magaalo buur ku taallu ma qarsoomi karto.
It is you who are the light of the world. A town that stands on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Ilays looma shido in la hoos geliyo weel, laakiin waxaa la saaraa meeshii ilayska, oo wuu u iftiimaa kuwa guriga ku jira oo dhan.
People do not light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lamp-stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.
16 Sidaas oo kale iftiinkiinnu dadka hortiisa ha iftiimo, si ay shuqulladiinna wanaagsan u arkaan, oo ay Aabbihiinna jannada ku jira u ammaanaan.
Let your light so shine before the eyes of others so that, seeing your good actions, they will praise your Father who is in heaven.
17 Ha u malaynina inaan u imid inaan sharciga ama qorniintii nebiyada baabbi'iyo; uma aan iman inaan baabbi'iyo, laakiin waxaan u imid inaan wada oofiyo
‘Do not think that I have come to do away with the Law or the prophets; I have not come to do away with them, but to complete them.
18 Runtii waxaan idinku leeyahay, Intaan cirka iyo dhulku idlaan, xaraf ama dhibic keliya ka idlaan mayso sharciga ilaa ay wada noqdaan.
For I tell you, until the heavens and the earth disappear, not even the smallest letter, nor one stroke of a letter, will disappear from the Law until all is done.
19 Sidaa darteed kii jebiya qaynuunnadan kuwa ugu yar midkood, oo sidaas dadka u bara, waxaa loogu yeedhi doonaa kan uga yar boqortooyadii jannada, laakiin kii yeela oo bara, waxaa loogu yeedhi doonaa kan weyn boqortooyadii jannada.
Whoever, therefore, breaks one of these commandments, even the least of them, and teaches others to do so, will be the least esteemed in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps them, and teaches others to do so, will be esteemed great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 Waayo, waxaan idinku leeyahay, Xaqnimadiinnu haddaanay ka badnaan tan culimmada iyo Farrisiinta, geliba maysaan boqortooyadii jannada.
Indeed I tell you that, unless you obey God’s commands better than of the teachers of the Law, and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
21 Waad maqasheen in kuwii hore lagu yidhi, Waa inaanad dhiig qabin; kii dhiig qabaa wuxuu galabsadaa xukunka.
‘You have heard that to our ancestors it was said – “You must not commit murder,” and “Whoever commits murder will be brought to trial.”
22 Laakiin waxaan idinku leeyahay, Mid walba oo walaalkiis u cadhoodaa wuxuu galabsadaa xukunka, oo kii walaalkiis ku yidhaahda, Nacas yahow, wuxuu galabsadaa in shirka la geeyo, oo kii yidhaahda, Doqon yahow, wuxuu galabsadaa jahannamada dabka ah. (Geenna g1067)
But I say to you that anyone who is angry at their brother or sister will be brought to trial; and whoever insults their brother or sister will be brought before the High Council, while whoever calls them a fool will be in danger of the fires of Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
23 Haddaba haddaad hadiyaddaada meesha allabariga keento, oo meeshaas aad ku xusuusatid in walaalkaa wax kuu haysto,
Therefore, when presenting your gift at the altar, if even there you remember that your brother or sister has something against you,
24 hadiyaddaada ku dhaaf meeshii allabariga horteeda, tag, oo horta walaalkaa la soo heshii, dabadeed kaalay oo hadiyaddaada bixi.
leave your gift there, before the altar, go and be reconciled to them, first, then come and present your gift.
25 Dhaqso cadowgaaga ula heshii intaad jidka kula socoto, si aan cadowgu xaakinka kuugu dhiibin, xaakinkuna askariga kuugu dhiibin, oo xabsi lagugu tuurin.
Be ready to make friends with your opponent, even when you meet them on your way to the court; otherwise they might hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the judicial officer, and you will be thrown into prison.
26 Runtii waxaan kugu leeyahay, Halkaas ka soo bixi maysid ilaa aad siisid beesadda ugu dambaysa.
I tell you, you will not come out until you have paid the last cent.
27 Waad maqasheen in la yidhi, Waa inaanad sinaysan.
‘You have heard that it was said – “You must not commit adultery.”
28 Laakiin waxaan idinku leeyahay, Nin walba oo qof dumar ah damac u eegaa, durba qalbigiisuu kaga sinaystay.
But I say to you that anyone who looks at a woman and desires her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29 Haddii ishaada midig ku xumayso, iska bixi oo iska tuur, waayo, waxaa kuu wanaagsan in xubnahaaga mid kaa lunto intii jidhkaaga oo dhan jahannamada lagu tuuri lahaa. (Geenna g1067)
If your right eye causes you to sin, take it out and throw it away. It would be best for you to lose one part of your body, and not to have the whole of it thrown into Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
30 Gacantaada midig hadday ku xumayso, iska jar oo iska tuur, waayo, waxaa kuu wanaagsan in xubnahaaga mid kaa lunto intii jidhkaaga oo dhan jahannamada geli lahaa. (Geenna g1067)
And, if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It would be best for you to lose one part of your body, and not to have the whole of it go down to Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
31 Waxaana la yidhi, Ku alla kii naagtiisa furaa, warqaddii furniinka ha siiyo.
‘It was also said – “Let anyone who divorces his wife serve her with a notice of separation.”
32 Laakiin waxaan idinku leeyahay, Mid walba oo naagtiisa furaa sababta sinada aawadeed maahee, wuxuu ka dhigayaa inay sinaysato, oo kii guursadaa tii la furayna waa sinaystaa.
But I say to you that anyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of some serious sexual sin, leads to her committing adultery; while anyone who marries her after her divorce is guilty of adultery.
33 Weliba waad maqasheen in kuwii hore lagu yidhi, Waa inaanad nidarradaada jebin, laakiin waa inaad Rabbiga u yeeshaa nidarradaada.
Again, you have heard that our ancestors were told – “Do not break your oaths, keep your vows to the Lord.”
34 Laakiin waxaan idinku leeyahay, Ha dhaaraninaba; jannada ha ku dhaaranina, waayo, waa carshigii Ilaah.
But I say to you that you must not swear at all, either by heaven, since that is God’s throne,
35 Dhulkana ha ku dhaaranina, waayo, waa meeshuu cagihiisa dhigo; Yeruusaalemna ha ku dhaaranina, waayo, waa magaaladii Boqorkii weynaa.
or by the earth, since that is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, since that is the city of the Great King.
36 Madaxaagana ha ku dhaaran, waayo, tin keliya kama dhigi kartid caddaan ama madow.
Nor should you swear by your head, since you cannot make a single hair either white or black.
37 Laakiin hadalkiinnu ha ahaado, Haah, haah, maya, maya; wixii intaas ka badan sharkuu ka yimaadaa.
Let your words be simply “Yes” or “No”; anything beyond this comes from what is evil.
38 Waad maqasheen in la yidhi, Il il ha loo rido, iligna ilig ha loo rido.
‘You have heard that it was said – “An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.”
39 Laakiin waxaan idinku leeyahay, Sharka ha hor istaagina, laakiin ku alla kii dhabanka midig kaa dharbaaxa, kan kalena u jeedi,
But I say to you that you must not resist those who wrong you; but, if anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other to them also.
40 oo kii doonaya inuu ku ashtakeeyo oo khamiiskaaga kaa qaato, maradaadana u daa,
If someone sues you for your shirt, let them have your cloak as well.
41 oo ku alla kii kugu qasba inaad mayl la socotid, laba la soco.
If you are forced to carry a soldier’s pack for one mile, carry it two.
42 Kii wax kaa barya, sii, oo kii doonaya inuu wax kaa amaahdo ha ka sii jeesan.
Give to anyone who asks and, if someone wants to borrow from you, do not turn them away.
43 Waad maqasheen in la yidhi, Waa inaad deriskaaga jeclaatid oo cadowgaaga necbaatid,
You have heard that it was said – “You must love your neighbour and hate your enemy.”
44 laakiin waxaan idinku leeyahay, Cadowyadiinna jeclaada, u duceeya kuwa idin habaara, wax wanaagsan u sameeya kuwa idin neceb, oo Ilaah u barya kuwa idin caaya oo idin silciya,
But what I tell you is this: love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you,
45 si aad u ahaataan wiilashii Aabbihiinna jannada ku jira, waayo, qorraxdiisa wuxuu u soo bixiya kuwa xun iyo kuwa wanaagsan, roobna wuu u di'iyaa kuwa xaqa ah iyo kuwa aan xaqa ahaynba.
so that you may become children of your Father who is in heaven; for he causes his sun to rise on bad and good alike, and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous.
46 Waayo, haddaad jeceshihiin kuwa idin jecel, abaalkee baad leedihiin? Cashuurqaadayaashu miyaanay sidaas oo kale samayn?
For, if you love only those who love you, what reward will you have? Even the tax collectors do this!
47 Haddaad salaantaan walaalihiin oo keliya, maxaa dheeraad ah oo aad samaysaan? Dadka kale miyaanay sidaas oo kale samayn?
And, if you only welcome your brothers and sisters, what are you doing more than others? Even the Gentiles do this!
48 Saas aawadeed u samaada sida Aabbihiinna jannadu u san yahay.
You, then, must become perfect – as your heavenly Father is perfect.
