< Matayos 22 >

1 Ciise ayaa u jawaabay oo mar kale masaallo kula hadlay, oo wuxuu yidhi,
Once more Jesus spoke to them in parables.
2 Boqortooyada jannada waxay la mid tahay sidii boqor wiilkiisa aroos u dhigay.
‘The kingdom of heaven,’ he said, ‘may be compared to a king who gave a banquet in honour of his son’s wedding.
3 Addoommadiisii ayuu u diray inay u yeedhaan kuwa arooska loogu yeedhay, mana ay doonaynin inay yimaadaan.
He sent his servants to call those who had been invited to the banquet, but they were unwilling to come.
4 Haddana addoommo kale ayuu diray oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Kuwii loo yeedhay waxaad ku tidhaahdaan, Bal eega, cuntadaydii waan diyaargareeyey, dibiyadaydii iyo neefafkaygii buurbuurnaana waa la qalay, wax walubana waa diyar, ee arooska kaalaya.
A second time he sent some servants, with orders to say to those who had been invited “I have prepared my meal, my cattle and fat beasts are killed and everything is ready; come to the banquet.”
5 Laakiin way fududaysteen, oo iska tageen, mid beertiisuu aaday, mid kalena wuxuu aaday baayacmushtarigiisii.
They, however, took no notice, but went off, one to their farm, another to their business;
6 Kuwii kalena addoommadiisii ayay qabteen, wayna caayeen oo dileen.
while the rest, seizing his servants, ill-treated them and killed them.
7 Laakiin boqorkii markuu maqlay wuu cadhooday, oo askartiisii buu u diray oo baabbi'iyey kuwaasoo dhiig qabay, magaaladoodiina wuu gubay.
The king, in anger, sent his troops, put those murderers to death, and set their city on fire.
8 Markaasuu addoommadiisii ku yidhi, Arooskii waa diyaar, kuwii loo yeedhayse ma ay istaahilin.
Then he said to his servants “The banquet is prepared, but those who were invited were not worthy.
9 Haddaba taga meesha jidadka ku kala leexdaan, oo in alla intaad heshaan arooska ugu yeedha.
So go to the cross-roads, and invite everyone you find to the banquet.”
10 Markaasaa addoommadaas jidadkay u baxeen, oo ay soo ururiyeen kuwii ay heleen oo dhan, kuwii sharka lahaa iyo kuwii wanaagsanaaba; gurigii arooskana waxaa laga buuxiyey marti.
The servants went out into the roads and collected all the people whom they found, whether bad or good; and the bridal-hall was filled with guests.
11 Laakiin boqorkii kolkuu soo galay inuu martida eego, wuxuu meesha ku arkay nin aan dharkii arooska qabin,
But, when the king went in to see his guests, he noticed there a man who had not put on a wedding-robe.
12 oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Saaxiibow, sidee baad halkan u soo gashay adigoo aan dharkii arooska qabin? Wuuna iska aamusay.
So he said to him “My friend, how is it that you came in here without a wedding-robe?” The man was speechless.
13 Markaasaa boqorkii wuxuu midiidinyadii ku yidhi, Lugaha iyo gacmaha ka xidha, oo gudcurka dibadda ah ku tuura; halkaas waxaa jiri doonta baroor iyo ilko jirriqsi.
Then the king said to the attendants “Tie him hand and foot, and put him out into the darkness outside, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.”
14 Waayo, kuwo badan baa loo yeedhay, laakiin kuwo yar baa la doortay.
For many are called, but few chosen.’
15 Markaasaa Farrisiintii baxeen, oo waxay ka wada hadleen si ay hadalkiisa ugu qabtaan.
Then the Pharisees went away and conferred together as to how they might lay a trap for Jesus in the course of conversation.
16 Waxay xertoodii ula soo direen Herodosiinta, oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Macallimow, waannu og nahay inaad run tahay, oo aad dadka jidka Ilaah run ku bartid, oo aanad ninna u eexan, waayo, dadka wejigooda ma eegtid.
They sent their disciples, with the Herodians, to say to him, ‘Teacher, we know that you are an honest person, and that you teach the way of God honestly, and are not afraid of anyone; for you pay no regard to a person’s position.
17 Haddaba noo sheeg waxay kula tahay, Ma xalaal baa in cashuur Kaysar la siiyo ama inaan la siin?
Tell us, then, what you think. Are we right in paying taxes to the Emperor, or not?’
18 Laakiin Ciise ayaa sharkoodii gartay, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Maxaad ii jirrabaysaan, labawejiilayaal yahow?
Perceiving their malice, Jesus answered, ‘Why are you testing me, you hypocrites?
19 I tusa lacagta cashuurta. Kolkaasay u keeneen dinaar.
Show me the coin with which the tax is paid.’ And, when they had brought him a coin,
20 Wuxuu ku yidhi, Yaa leh masawirkan iyo qorniinkan?
he asked, ‘Whose head and title are these?’
21 Waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Kaysar baa leh. Markaasuu ku yidhi, Haddaba Kaysar siiya wixii Kaysar leeyahay, Ilaahna siiya wixii Ilaah leeyahay.
‘The Emperor’s,’ they answered, at which he said to them, ‘Then pay to the Emperor what belongs to the Emperor, and to God what belongs to God.’
22 Oo goortay taas maqleen, way yaabeen, wayna iska daayeen oo ka tageen.
They wondered at his answer, and left him alone and went away.
23 Maalintaas waxaa u yimid Sadukiin kuwii odhan jiray, Sarakicidda kuwii dhintay ma jirto. Oo waxay weyddiiyeen,
That same day some Sadducees came up to Jesus, maintaining that there is no resurrection. Their question was this, –
24 oo ku yidhaahdeen, Macallimow, Muuse wuxuu yidhi, Haddii nin dhinto isagoo aan carruur lahayn, walaalkiis waa inuu naagtiisa dumaalo oo uu carruur walaalkiis u dhalo.
‘Teacher, Moses said – “should a man die without children, the man’s brother will become the husband of the widow, and raise a family for his brother.”
25 Waxaa nala jiray toddoba walaalo ah. Kii ugu horreeyey ayaa guursaday, wuuna dhintay, dhalna ma lahayn, wuxuuna naagtiisii uga tegey walaalkiis.
Now we had living among us seven brothers; of whom the eldest married and died, and, as he had no family, left his wife for his brother.
26 Sidaas oo kalaa ku dhacday kii labaad, iyo kii saddexaad ilaa kii toddobaad.
The same thing happened to the second and the third brothers, and indeed to all the seven.
27 Markay wada dhinteen dabadeed naagtiina waa dhimatay.
The woman herself died last of all.
28 Haddaba wakhtiga sarakicidda kuwii dhintay toddobadoodii kee bay naagtiisii ahaan doontaa? Waayo, kulligood way wada guursadeen iyada.
At the resurrection, then, whose wife will she be out of the seven, all of them having been married to her?’
29 Laakiin Ciise ayaa u jawaabay oo ku yidhi, Waad qaldan tihiin oo garan maysaan Qorniinka iyo xoogga Ilaah.
‘Your mistake,’ replied Jesus, ‘is due to your ignorance of the scriptures, and of the power of God.
30 Waayo, wakhtiga sarakicidda kuwii dhintay dabadeed, layskuma guursado, guurna layskuma siiyo, laakiin waxay yihiin sida malaa'igaha Ilaah oo jannada ku jira.
For at the resurrection there is no marrying or being married, but all who rise are as angels in heaven.
31 Laakiin xagga sarakicidda kuwii dhintay miyaydnaan akhriyin wixii Ilaah idinkula hadlay, markuu yidhi,
As to the resurrection of the dead, have you not read these words of God –
32 Anigu waxaan ahay Ilaaha Ibraahim iyo Ilaaha Isxaaq iyo Ilaaha Yacquub? Isagu ma aha Ilaaha kuwa dhintay, laakiin waa Ilaaha kuwa nool.
“I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob”? He is not the God of dead people, but of living.’
33 Dadkii badnaa goortay taas maqleen ayay waxbariddiisii ka yaabeen.
The crowds, who had been listening to him, were greatly struck with his teaching.
34 Laakiin Farrisiintii goortay maqleen inuu Sadukiintii aamusiiyey ayay isu yimaadeen.
When the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they collected together.
35 Oo midkood oo sharciga yaqaan ayaa wax weyddiiyey, isagoo jirrabaya, oo wuxuu ku yidhi,
Then one of them, a Student of the Law, to test him, asked this question –
36 Macallimow, qaynuunkee baa sharciga uga weyn?
‘Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law?’
37 Kolkaasuu ku yidhi isaga, Waa inaad Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ah ka jeclaataa qalbigaaga oo dhan iyo naftaada oo dhan iyo caqligaaga oo dhan.
His answer was, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
38 Kanu waa qaynuunka ugu weyn oo ugu horreeya.
This is the great first commandment.
39 Ku labaad oo u ekina waa kan. Waa inaad deriskaaga u jeclaataa sida naftaada.
The second, which is like it, is this – You must love your neighbour as you love yourself.
40 Sharcigii oo dhan iyo nebiyadiiba waxay sudhan yihiin labadan qaynuun.
On these two commandments hang all the Law and the prophets.’
41 Kolkii Farrisiintii isu yimaadeen ayaa Ciise wax weyddiiyey,
Before the Pharisees separated, Jesus put this question to them –
42 oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Yuu idinla yahay Masiixu? Waa ina ayo? Kolkaasay ku yidhaahdeen, Waa ina Daa'uud.
‘What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?’ ‘David’s,’ they said.
43 Wuxuu ku yidhi, Haddaba Daa'uud sidee buu Ruuxa ugaga yeedhay Rabbi? isagoo leh,
‘How is it, then,’ Jesus replied, ‘that David, speaking under inspiration, calls him “lord,” in the passage –
44 Rabbigu wuxuu Sayidkayga ku yidhi, Midigtayda fadhiiso, Ilaa aan cadaawayaashaada cagahaaga hoostooda geliyo.
“The Lord said to my Lord: Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies beneath your feet”?
45 Haddaba Daa'uud hadduu ugu yeedhay isaga Sayid, sidee buu wiilkiisa u yahay?
Since, then, David calls him “lord,” how is he David’s son?’
46 Ninna hadal uguma jawaabi karin, oo maalintaas dabadeed ninna kuma dhicin inuu mar dambe wax weyddiiyo.
No one could say a word in answer; nor did anyone after that day venture to question him further.
