1 Timoteyos 5
1 Nin waayeel ah ha canaanan, laakiin u waani sida aabbe oo kale; dhallinyaradana u waani sida walaalo oo kale;
Do not reprimand an older man, but plead with him as if he were your father. Treat the young men as brothers,
2 habrahana sida hooyooyin oo kale u waani, naagaha dhallintayarna sida walaalo oo kale, adigoo daahir ah.
the older women as mothers, and the younger women as sisters – with all purity.
3 Maamuus carmallada runta ah oo nimankoodii ka dhinteen,
Show consideration for widows – I mean those who are really widowed.
4 laakiin haddii naag carmal ahu carruur leedahay ama carruurteedu ay carruur leedahay, iyagu marka hore ha barteen inay dadkooda si cibaado leh kula macaamiloodaan, waalidkoodna u cawilceliyaan, waayo taasu way wanaagsan tahay, waana mid Ilaah aqbali karo.
But, if a widow has children or grandchildren, they should learn to show proper regard for the members of their own family first, and to make some return to their parents; for that is pleasing in God’s sight.
5 Waayo, tii carmal run ah oo cidlootay, waxay rajo ku leedahay Ilaah, habeen iyo maalinna baryada iyo tukashada way sii waddaa.
As for the woman who is really widowed and left quite alone, her hopes are fixed on God, and she devotes herself to prayers and supplications night and day.
6 Laakiin tii raaxaysi u noolaataa waa meyd intay nooshahay.
But the life of a widow who is devoted to pleasure is a living death.
7 Waxyaalahan ku amar inay ceeb la'aadaan.
Those are the points you should teach, so that there may be no call for your censure.
8 Laakiin qof hadduusan dadkiisa dhaqaalayn, khusuusan kuwa gurigiisa jooga, kaasu iimaankuu ka hor yimid, wuuna ka sii liitaa mid aan rumaysanayn.
Anyone who fails to provide for their own relatives, and especially for those under their own roof, has disowned the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.
9 Ha la qoro carmal aan lixdan sannadood ka yarayn oo nin keliya naag u ahaan jirtay,
A widow, when her name is added to the list, should not be less than sixty years old; she should have been a faithful wife,
10 oo loogu marag furay inay shuqullo wanaagsan samaysay, hadday carruur korisay, hadday shisheeyaha marti soori jirtay, hadday quduusiinta cagaha u maydhay, hadday kuwii dhibaataysnaa u gargaartay, hadday shuqul kasta oo wanaagsan aad ugu dadaashay.
and be well spoken of for her kind actions. She should have brought up children, have shown hospitality to strangers, have washed the feet of her fellow Christians, have relieved those who were in distress, and devoted herself to every kind of good action.
11 Laakiinse carmallada dhallintayar diid, waayo, markay qooqaan ayay ka jeestaan Masiixa, oo waxay doonayaan inay guursadaan.
But you should exclude the younger widows from the list; for, when they grow restive under the yoke of the Christ, they want to marry,
12 Iimaankoodii hore way naceen, oo sidaas daraaddeed waa la xukumay.
and so they bring condemnation on themselves for having broken their previous promise.
13 Waxay kaloo weliba bartaan inay caajisiin noqdaan, iyagoo iska wareegaya oo guriba guri uga baxaya; caajisiin oo keliyana ma ahaye, weliba way warsheeko badan yihiin, oo axwaalka dadka kalena way faraggeliyaan, iyagoo ku hadlaya waxyaalo aan waajib ku ahayn.
And not only that, but they learn to be idle as they go about from house to house. Nor are they merely idle, but they also become gossips and busybodies, and talk of what they ought not.
14 Haddaba waxaan doonayaa inay carmallada dhallintayaru guursadaan, oo carruur dhalaan, oo gurigooda u taliyaan, oo ayan cadowga isu jebin inuu caayo.
Therefore I advise young widows to marry, bear children, and attend to their homes, and so avoid giving the enemy an opportunity for scandal.
15 Waayo, hadda ka hor qaar baa xagga Shayddaanka u leexday.
There are some who have already left us, to follow Satan.
16 Haddii naag rumaysanu ay leedahay carmallo ha u gargaarto iyaga, oo kiniisadda yaan la culaysin, si ay u gargaarto kuwa carmallada runta ah.
Any Christian woman, who has relatives who are widows, ought to relieve them and not allow them to become a burden to the church, so that the church may relieve those widows who are really widowed.
17 Waayeellada si wanaagsan wax ugu taliya ha lagu tiriyo kuwo istaahila in labanlaab loo maamuuso, khusuusan kuwa ku hawshooda waxwacdinta iyo waxbaridda.
Those church elders who fill their office well should be held deserving of especial consideration, particularly those whose work lies in preaching and teaching.
18 Waayo, Qorniinku wuxuu leeyahay, Waa inaadan dibiga af xidhin markuu sarreenka burburinayo. Wuxuu kaloo leeyahay, Shaqaalahu waa istaahilaa abaalgudkiisa.
The words of scripture are – “You should not muzzle the ox while it is treading out the grain.” and again – “The worker is worth their wages.”
19 Nin waayeel ah ashtako ha ku qaadin, laba ama saddex qof oo ku markhaati fura mooyaane.
Do not entertain a charge against an church elder, unless it is supported by two or three witnesses;
20 Kuwa dembaaba inta kale oo dhan hortooda ku canaano in kuwa kalena ay cabsadaan.
but rebuke offenders publicly, so that others may take warning.
21 Waxaan Ilaah iyo Ciise Masiix iyo malaa'igaha la doortay hortooda kugu waaninayaa inaad waxyaalahan ku dhawrtid eexashola'aan, oo aadan waxba samayn adoo dadka kala jeclaanaya.
I charge you solemnly, before God and Christ Jesus and the chosen angels, to carry out these directions, unswayed by prejudice, never acting with partiality.
22 Ninna gacmaha degdeg ha u saarin, dad kale dembiyadoodana ha ka qayb gelin. Nafsaddaada daahirsanaan ku dhawr.
Never ordain anyone hastily, and take no part in the wrongdoing of others. Keep your life pure.
23 Laakiinse hadda ka dib biyo oo keliya ha cabbin, illowse waxoogaa yar oo khamri ah u cab calooshaada iyo cudurradaada mararka badan kugu soo noqnoqda daraaddood.
Do not continue to drink water only, but take a little wine because of the weakness of your stomach, and your frequent ailments.
24 Dadka qarkood dembiyadoodu waa bayaan, oo waxay u hor marayaan xukunka, dadka qaarkoodna kuwoodu way daba socdaan.
There are some people whose sins are conspicuous and lead on to judgment, while there are others whose sins dog their steps.
25 Sidaas oo kalena waxaa jira shuqullo wanaagsan oo bayaan ah, kuwa aan caynkaas ahaynna lama qarin karo.
In the same way noble deeds become conspicuous, and those which are otherwise cannot be concealed.
