Psalmi 60
1 Načelniku godbe, na šestostrunje pričanja, pesem odlična Davidova, za uk. Ko se je boril sè Sirci Mezopotamijskimi, in Sirci Zobejskimi in je Joab vrnivši se pobil Edomejcev v solni dolini dvanajst tisoč. O Bog, zavrgel si nas bil, raztrgal nas, srdit si bil, povrni se nam.
To the chief Musician upon Shushan-eduth, Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aram-naharaim and with Aram-zobah, when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand. O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.
2 Zmajal si bil deželo, razdrobil jo; sceli kosove njene, ker omahuje.
Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.
3 Storil si bil, da je ljudstvo tvoje čutilo trdóst, dál si nam bil piti grozo kakor vino.
Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.
4 Dal si njim, ki se tebe bojé, zastavo, katero naj rabijo, zaradi resnice mogočno.
Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. (Selah)
5 Da se rešijo ljubljenci tvoji; reši z desnico svojo in usliši me.
That thy beloved may be delivered; save [with] thy right hand, and hear me.
6 Bog je govoril po svetosti svoji, radoval se bodem; v delež dobim Sihem, in dolino Sukotsko merim.
God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
7 Moj je Gilead in moj Manase in Efraim glave moje moč, Juda postavodajalec moj.
Gilead [is] mine, and Manasseh [is] mine; Ephraim also [is] the strength of mine head; Judah [is] my lawgiver;
8 Moab umivalnica moja, na Edomejca vržem čevelj svoj, nad máno, Palestina, ukaj!
Moab [is] my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.
9 Kdo bi me popeljal v mesto trdno, kdo bi me peljal noter do Edomeje?
Who will bring me [into] the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
10 Ali nisi bil ti, Bog, zavrgel nas; da nisi hodil, Bog, med našimi vojskámi?
[Wilt] not thou, O God, [which] hadst cast us off? and [thou], O God, [which] didst not go out with our armies?
11 Daj nam pomoč zoper sovražnika; ker ničeva je pomoč človeška.
Give us help from trouble: for vain [is] the help of man.
12 V Bogu delajmo vrlo, in on bode poteptal sovražnike naše.
Through God we shall do valiantly: for he [it is that] shall tread down our enemies.
