Притчи Соломона 28
1 Бегает нечестивый ни единому же гонящу, праведный же яко лев уповая.
The wicked flee when no man pursueth; but the righteous are bold as a lion.
2 За грехи нечестивых судове востают: муж же хитрый угасит я.
By the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof; but by a man of understanding [and] of knowledge, [its] stability is prolonged.
3 Продерзый в нечестиих оклеветает нищыя, якоже дождь сильный не полезен:
A poor man who oppresseth the helpless is a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.
4 тако оставившии закон хвалят нечестие, любящии же закон ограждают себе стену.
They that forsake the law praise the wicked; but such as keep the law contend with them.
5 Мужие злии не уразумеют суда, ищущии же Господа уразумеют о всем.
Evil men understand not judgment; but they that seek Jehovah understand everything.
6 Лучше нищь ходяй во истине, нежели богат ложь.
Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse, double in ways, though he be rich.
7 Хранит закон сын разумный: а иже пасет несытость, безчестит отца своего.
Whoso observeth the law is a son that hath understanding; but he that is a companion of profligates bringeth shame to his father.
8 Умножаяй богатство свое с лихвами и прибытки милующему нищыя собирает е.
He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance gathereth it for him that is gracious to the poor.
9 Укланяяй ухо свое не послушати закона и сам молитву свою омерзил.
He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.
10 Иже льстит правыя на пути злем, во истление сам впадет: беззаконнии же минуют благая и не внидут в ня.
Whoso causeth the upright to go astray in an evil way, shall himself fall into his own pit; but the perfect shall inherit good.
11 Премудр у себе муж богатый, убогий же разумив презрит его.
A rich man is wise in his own eyes; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
12 Помощию праведных многа бывает слава, на местех же нечестивых погибают человецы.
When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; but when the wicked rise, men conceal themselves.
13 Покрываяй нечестие свое не успеет во благая, поведая же обличения возлюблен будет.
He that covereth his transgressions shall not prosper; but whoso confesseth and forsaketh [them] shall obtain mercy.
14 Блажен муж, иже боится всех за благоговение, а жестосердый впадает во злая.
Happy is the man that feareth always; but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into evil.
15 Лев алчен и волк жажден, иже тиранствует, нищь сый, над языком убогим.
A roaring lion, and a ranging bear, is a wicked ruler over a poor people.
16 Царь скуден уроком велик клеветник (бывает), а ненавидяй неправды долго лет поживет.
The prince void of intelligence is also a great oppressor: he that hateth covetousness shall prolong [his] days.
17 Мужа, иже в вине смертне, выручаяй беглец будет, а не утвержден. Наказуй сына, и возлюбит тя и даст лепоту твоей души, не послушает языка законопреступна.
A man laden with the blood of [any] person, fleeth to the pit: let no man stay him.
18 Ходяй праведно помощь приимет, ходяй же в стропотны пути увязнет.
Whoso walketh in integrity shall be saved; but he that is perverted in [his] double ways, shall fall in one [of them].
19 Делаяй свою землю насытится хлебов, гоняй же праздность насытится нищеты.
He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread; but he that followeth the worthless shall have poverty enough.
20 Муж веры достойный много благословится, злый же не без мучения будет.
A faithful man aboundeth with blessings; but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
21 Иже не срамляется лица праведных, не благ: таковый за укрух хлеба продаст мужа.
To have respect of persons is not good; but for a piece of bread will a man transgress.
22 Тщится обогатитися муж завидлив, и не весть, яко милостивый возобладает им.
He that hath an evil eye hasteth after wealth, and knoweth not that poverty shall come upon him.
23 Обличаяй человечы пути благодать имать паче языком ласкающаго.
He that rebuketh a man shall afterwards find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
24 Иже отвергает отца или матерь и мнится не согрешати, сей сопричастник есть мужу нечестиву.
Whoso robbeth his father and his mother, and saith, It is no transgression, the same is the companion of a destroyer.
25 Неверный муж судит туне, а иже надеется на Господа, в прилежании будет.
He that is puffed up in soul exciteth contention; but he that relieth upon Jehovah shall be made fat.
26 Иже надеется на дерзо сердце, таковый безумен: а иже ходит в премудрости, спасется.
He that confideth in his own heart is a fool; but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
27 Иже дает убогим, не оскудеет: а иже отвращает око свое, в скудости будет мнозе.
He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack; but he that withdraweth his eyes shall have many a curse.
28 На местех нечестивых стенят праведнии, в погибели же их умножатся праведнии.
When the wicked rise, men hide themselves; but when they perish, the righteous increase.
