Книга Иисуса Навина 24

1 И собра Иисус вся племена Израилева в Сихем, и созва старейшины Израилевы и князи их, и судии их и книгочия их, и сташа пред Господем Богом.

Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and called for the elders of Israel, for their heads, for their judges, and for their officers; and they presented themselves before God.

2 И рече Иисус ко всем людем, глаголя: сия глаголет Господь Бог Израилев: об ону страну реки жиша отцы ваши исперва, Фара отец Авраамов и отец Нахоров, и служиша богом иным:

Joshua said to all the people, "Thus says YHWH, the God of Israel, 'Your fathers lived of old time beyond the River, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nahor: and they served other gods.

3 и поях отца вашего Авраама от об ону страну реки, и водих его во всей земли Ханаанстей: и умножих семя его, и дах ему Исаака:

I took your father Abraham from beyond the River, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his descendants, and gave him Isaac.

4 Исааку же дах Иакова и Исава и дах Исаву гору Сиир наследие ему: Иаков же и сынове его снидоша во Египет, и быша тамо в язык велик и крепок и мног, и озлобиша их Египтяне:

And I gave to Isaac Jacob and Esau. And I gave to Esau Mount Seir, to possess it. And Jacob and his children went down into Egypt, and became there a great and numerous and mighty nation, and the Egyptians afflicted them.

5 и послах Моисеа и Аарона, и поразих Египта во знамениих, яже сотворих в них, и по сем изведох вас,

And I sent Moses and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt, according to that which I did in its midst; and afterward I brought you out

6 и изведох отцы вашя из Египта, и внидосте в море Чермное: и погнаша Египтяне вслед отец ваших на колесницах и на конех в море Чермное:

from Egypt. And you came to the sea, and the Egyptians pursued after your fathers with chariots and with horsemen to the Red Sea.

7 и возопихом ко Господу, и даде облак и мглу между нами и между Египтяны, и наведе на них море, и покры их: и видеша очеса ваша, елика сотвори Господь в земли Египетстей: и бысте в пустыни дни многи:

When they cried out to YHWH, he put darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brought the sea on them, and covered them; and your eyes saw what I did in Egypt: and you lived in the wilderness many days.

8 и приведе вас в землю Аморреов живущих об ону страну Иордана, и ополчишася на вы: и предаде я Господь в руки вашя, и наследисте землю их, и потребисте их от лица вашего:

I brought you into the land of the Amorites, that lived beyond the Jordan: and they fought with you; and I gave them into your hand. You possessed their land; and I destroyed them from before you.

9 и воста Валак сын Сепфоров, царь Моавль, и ополчися противу Израиля, и послав призва Валаама сына Веорова кляти вас:

Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and fought against Israel. He sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you;

10 и не восхоте Господь Бог погубити тя, но благословением благослови вас и избави вас от рук их:

but I would not listen to Balaam; therefore he blessed you still. So I delivered you out of his hand.

11 и преидосте Иордан и приидосте во Иерихон, и бишася с вами живущии во Иерихоне, Аморрей и Ферезей, и Хананей и Хеттей, и Гергесей и Евей и Иевусей, и предаде их Господь в руки вашя:

You went over the Jordan, and came to Jericho. The men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Canaanite, the Hethite, the Girgashite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I delivered them into your hand.

12 и посла пред вами шершни, и изгна от лица вашего два царя Аморрейска, не оружием твоим, ниже луком твоим,

I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites; not with your sword, nor with your bow.

13 и даде вам землю, о нейже не трудистеся на ней, и грады, ихже не создасте, и пожисте в них, и винограды и масличие, ихже не насадисте вы, ядосте:

I gave you a land whereon you had not labored, and cities which you did not build, and you live in them. You eat of vineyards and olive groves which you did not plant.'

14 и ныне убойтеся Господа, и послужите Ему в правде и правоте: и отвержите боги чуждыя, имже служиша отцы ваши об ону страну реки и во Египте, и служите Господеви:

Now therefore fear YHWH, and serve him in sincerity and in truth. Put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve YHWH.

15 аще же не угодно вам служити Господеви, изберите сами себе днесь, кому послужите, или богом отец ваших, иже быша об ону страну реки, или богом Аморрейским, в нихже вы живете на земли их: аз же и дом мой служити будем Господеви, яко свят есть.

If it seems evil to you to serve YHWH, choose this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve YHWH."

16 И отвещавше людие, реша: не буди нам оставити Господа, еже служити богом иным:

The people answered, "Far be it from us that we should forsake YHWH, to serve other gods;

17 Господь бо Бог наш Той Бог есть, Той изведе нас и отцы нашы от земли Египетския, от дому работы, иже сотвори пред очима нашима знамения велия, и сохрани нас во всем пути, по немуже идохом, и во всех языцех, ихже сквозе проидохом:

for it is YHWH our God who brought us and our fathers up out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and who did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way in which we went, and among all the peoples through the midst of whom we passed.

18 и изгна Господь вся языки и Аморреа живущаго на земли от лица нашего: но и мы послужим Господеви, Сей бо есть Бог наш.

YHWH drove out from before us all the peoples, even the Amorites who lived in the land. Therefore we also will serve YHWH; for he is our God."

19 И рече Иисус к людем: не возможете служити Господеви Богу, яко Бог свят есть и ревнитель сей: не оставит грех ваших и беззаконий ваших:

Joshua said to the people, "You can't serve YHWH; for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God. He will not forgive your disobedience nor your sins.

20 егда оставите Господа и послужите богом чуждим, и пришед озлобит вас и потребит вас, вместо еже благо сотвори вам.

If you forsake YHWH, and serve foreign gods, then he will turn and do you harm, and consume you, after he has done you good."

21 И рекоша людие ко Иисусу: ни, но Господеви послужим.

The people said to Joshua, "No; but we will serve YHWH."

22 И рече Иисус к людем: свидетели вы сами на ся, яко вы избрасте служити Господеви Самому. И рекоша: свидетели мы.

Joshua said to the people, "You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen you YHWH, to serve him." They said, "We are witnesses."

23 И ныне отвержите боги чуждыя, иже суть в вас, и исправите сердца ваша ко Господу Богу Израилеву.

"Now therefore put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to YHWH, the God of Israel."

24 И рекоша людие ко Иисусу: Господеви Богу нашему послужим, и гласа Его послушаем.

The people said to Joshua, "We will serve YHWH our God, and we will listen to his voice."

25 И завеща Иисус завет к людем в день он, и даде им закон и суд в Сихеме, пред скиниею Господа Бога Израилева.

So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and made for them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.

26 И вписа Иисус словеса сия в книгу закона Божия: и взя камень велий, и постави его под теревинфом, иже есть пред Господем.

Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God; and he took a great stone, and set it up there under the oak that was by the sanctuary of YHWH.

27 И рече Иисус к людем: се, камень сей будет вам во свидение: яко сей слыша вся глаголголанная от Господа, елика глагола к вам днесь, и сей будет вам во свидение в последния дни, и егда солжете Господеви Богу вашему.

Joshua said to all the people, "Look, this stone shall be a witness against us; for it has heard all the words of YHWH which he spoke to us. It shall be therefore a witness against you, lest you deny your God."

28 И отпусти Иисус люди, коегождо в места своя.

So Joshua sent the people away, every man to his inheritance.

29 И послужи Израиль Господеви во вся дни Иисусовы и во вся дни старцев, иже препроводиша время со Иисусом и иже видеша вся дела Господня, елика сотвори Израилю.

It happened after these things, that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of YHWH, died, being one hundred ten years old.

30 И бысть по сих, и умре Иисус сын Навин раб Господень, (пожив) сто и десять лет.

They buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath Serah, which is in the hill country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.

31 И погребоша его в пределех жребия его во Фамнасахаре, в горе Ефремли, от севера горы Гаасовы, и положиша тамо с ним во гробе, в немже погребоша его, ножы каменныя, имиже обреза сыны Израилевы в Галгалех (Иисус), егда изведе их из Египта, якоже повеле Господь: и тамо суть даже до дне сего.

Israel served YHWH all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, and had known all the work of YHWH, that he had worked for Israel.

32 И кости Иосифовы изнесоша сынове Израилевы из Египта и закопаша их в Сихемех, в части села, еже притяжа Иаков от Аморрей живущих в Сихемех стом агниц, и даде ю Иосифу в часть.

They buried the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, in Shechem, in the parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for a hundred kesitahs. They became the inheritance of the descendants of Joseph.

33 И бысть по сих, и Елеазар сын Ааронов архиерей скончася: и погребен бысть в Гаваафе Финееса сына своего, егоже даде ему в горе Ефремове.

Eleazar the son of Aaron died. They buried him in the hill of Phinehas his son, which was given him in the hill country of Ephraim.
