Книга Иова 25

1 Отвещав же Валдад Савхейский, рече:

Then Baldad the Suhite answered, and I said:

2 что бо начало, аще не страх от Него, иже творит всяческая в вышних?

Power and terror are with him, who maketh peace in his high places.

3 Да никтоже бо мнит, яко есть умедление воинством: и на кого не найдет навет от Него?

Is there any numbering of his soldiers? and upon whom shall not his light arise?

4 Како бо будет праведен человек пред Богом? Или кто очистит себе рожденный от жены?

Can man be justified compared with God, or he that is born of a woman appear clean?

5 Аще луне повелевает, и не сияет, звезды же нечисты суть пред Ним,

Behold even the moon doth not shine, and the stars are not pure in his sight.

6 кольми паче человек гной, и сын человеческий червь.

How much less man that is rottenness and the son of man who is a worm?
