1 Сия книга бытия человеча, в оньже день сотвори Бог Адама, по образу Божию сотвори его,
This is the record of the descendants of Adam. On the day that God created mankind, he made them in his own likeness.
2 мужа и жену сотвори их и благослови их: и нарече имя ему Адам, в оньже день сотвори их.
Male and female he created them. He blessed them and named them mankind when they were created.
3 Поживе же Адам лет двесте тридесять и роди сына по виду своему и по образу своему, и нарече имя ему Сиф.
When Adam had lived 130 years, he became the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and he called his name Seth.
4 Быша же дние Адамовы, яже поживе, по еже родити ему Сифа, лет седмь сот, и роди сыны и дщери.
After Adam became the father of Seth, he lived eight hundred years. He became the father of more sons and daughters.
5 И быша вси дние Адамовы, яже поживе, лет девять сот и тридесять: и умре.
Adam lived 930 years, and then he died.
6 Поживе же Сиф лет двесте пять и роди Еноса.
When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father of Enosh.
7 И поживе Сиф, по еже родити ему Еноса, лет седмь сот и седмь, и роди сыны и дщери.
After he became the father of Enosh, he lived 807 years and became the father of more sons and daughters.
8 И быша вси дние Сифовы лет девять сот и дванадесять: и умре.
Seth lived 912 years, and then he died.
9 И поживе Енос лет сто девятьдесят и роди Каинана.
When Enosh had lived ninety years, he became the father of Kenan.
10 И поживе Енос, по еже родити ему Каинана, лет седмь сот и пятьнадесять, и роди сыны и дщери.
After he became the father of Kenan, Enosh lived 815 years. He became the father of more sons and daughters.
11 И быша вси дние Еносовы лет девять сот и пять: и умре.
Enosh lived 905 years, and then he died.
12 И поживе Каинан лет сто седмьдесят и роди Малелеила.
When Kenan had lived seventy years, he became the father of Mahalalel.
13 И поживе Каинан, по еже родити ему Малелеила, лет седмь сот и четыредесять, и роди сыны и дщери.
After he became the father of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years. He became the father of more sons and daughters.
14 И быша вси дние Каинановы лет девять сот и десять: и умре.
Kenan lived 910 years, and then he died.
15 И поживе Малелеил лет сто шестьдесят пять и роди Иареда.
When Mahalalel had lived sixty-five years, he became the father of Jared.
16 И поживе Малелеил, по еже родити ему Иареда, лет седмь сот и тридесять, и роди сыны и дщери.
After he became the father of Jared, Mahalalel lived 830 years. He became the father of more sons and daughters.
17 И быша вси дние Малелеиловы лет осмь сот и девятьдесят пять: и умре.
Mahalalel lived 895 years, and then he died.
18 И поживе Иаред лет сто шестьдесят два и роди Еноха.
When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch.
19 И поживе Иаред, по еже родити ему Еноха, лет осмь сот, и роди сыны и дщери.
After he became the father of Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years. He became the father of more sons and daughters.
20 И быша вси дние Иаредовы лет девять сот и шестьдесят два: и умре.
Jared lived 962 years, and then he died.
21 И поживе Енох лет сто шестьдесят пять и роди Мафусала.
When Enoch had lived sixty-five years, he became the father of Methuselah.
22 Угоди же Енох Богу, и поживе Енох, по еже родити ему Мафусала, лет двесте, и роди сыны и дщери.
Enoch walked with God three hundred years after he became the father of Methuselah. He became the father of more sons and daughters.
23 И быша вси дние Еноховы лет триста шестьдесят пять.
Enoch lived 365 years.
24 И угоди Енох Богу, и не обреташеся, зане преложи его Бог.
Enoch walked with God, and then he was gone, for God took him.
25 И поживе Мафусал лет сто осмьдесят седмь и роди Ламеха.
When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech.
26 И поживе Мафусал, по еже родити ему Ламеха, лет седмь сот осмьдесят два, и роди сыны и дщери.
After he became the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years. He became the father of more sons and daughters.
27 И быша вси дние Мафусаловы, яже поживе, лет девять сот и шестьдесят девять: и умре.
Methuselah lived 969 years. Then he died.
28 И поживе Ламех лет сто осмьдесят осмь и роди сына,
When Lamech had lived 182 years, he became the father of a son.
29 и нарече имя ему Ное, глаголя: сей упокоит нас от дел наших и от печали рук наших, и от земли, юже прокля Господь Бог.
He called his name Noah, saying, “This one will give us rest from our work and from the painful labor of our hands, which we must do because of the ground that Yahweh has cursed.”
30 И поживе Ламех, по еже родити ему Ноа, лет пять сот и шестьдесят пять, и роди сыны и дщери.
Lamech lived 595 years after he became the father of Noah. He became the father of more sons and daughters.
31 И быша вси дние Ламеховы лет седмь сот и пятьдесят три: и умре.
Lamech lived 777 years. Then he died.
32 И бе Ное лет пяти сот, и роди сыны три, Сима, Хама, Иафефа.
After Noah had lived five hundred years, he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
