And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the [mother] of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
2 Mangwanani-ngwanani kwazvo nomusi wekutanga wevhiki vakauya kuguva, zuva robuda.
And very early in the morning, the first [day] of the week, they came to the sepulcher at the rising of the sun:
3 Vakati pakati pavo: Ndiani achatikungurusira ibwe kubva pamukova weguva?
And they said among themselves, Who shall roll away for us the stone from the door of the sepulcher?
4 Zvino vakati vachitarira, vakaona kuti ibwe rakange rakunguruswa, nokuti raiva guru-guru.
(And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away) for it was very great.
5 Zvino vakati vachipinda muguva, vakaona jaya rakange rigere kurudyi, rakapfeka nguvo refu chena; vakavhunduka;
And entering into the sepulcher, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were frightened.
6 asi rakati kwavari: Musavhunduka; munotsvaka Jesu muNazareta wakarovererwa pamuchinjikwa; wamuka, haasi pano; tarirai panzvimbo pavakange vamuradzika.
And he saith to them, Be not frightened: ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him:
7 Asi endai, munoudza vadzidzi vake naPetro kuti anokutungamirirai kuGarirea, muchanomuonako sezvaakakuudzai.
But go, tell his disciples and Peter, that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said to you.
8 Zvino vakabuda nekukurumidza vakatiza paguva; uyezve kudedera nekuvhunduka kwakavabata; vakasataura chinhu kuna ani zvake, nokuti vakange vachitya.
And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulcher; for they trembled, and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any [man]; for they were afraid.
9 (note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) Zvino Jesu wakati amuka mangwanani-ngwanani newekutanga wevhiki, wakaonekwa pakutanga kuna Maria Magidharini, waakabudisa kwaari madhimoni manomwe.
(note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) Now when [Jesus] was risen early, the first [day] of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven demons.
10 Uyo akaenda akaudza avo vaiva naye, pavaichema vachirira.
[And] she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
11 Neava vanzwa kuti mupenyu, uye kuti wakange aonekwa naye, havana kutenda.
And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen by her, believed not.
12 Shure kweizvozvo wakazviratidza nechimwe chimiro kuvaviri vavo vachifamba, vachienda muruwa.
After that, he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking and going into the country.
13 Zvino avawo vakaenda vakaudza vakange vasara; naavo vakasavatenda.
And they went and told [it] to the residue: neither believed they them.
14 Pashure wakazviratidza kune vanegumi neumwe vagere pakudya, akatsiura kusatenda kwavo neukukutu hwemoyo, nokuti havana kutenda vaya vakange vamuona amuka.
Afterward he appeared to the eleven, as they sat at table, and upbraided them with their unbelief, and hardness of heart, because they believed not them who had seen him after he was risen.
15 Akati kwavari: Endai munyika yese muparidze evhangeri kuchisikwa chega-chega.
And he said to them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 Uyo anotenda akabhabhatidzwa achaponeswa; asi asingatendi achapiwa mhosva.
He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 Zviratidzo izvi zvichavatevera vanotenda: Muzita rangu vachabudisa madhimoni, vachataura nendimi itsva;
And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak in new languages;
18 vachanonga nyoka; kunyange vakanwa chero chinhu chinouraya, hachingatongovakuvadzi; vachaisa maoko pavarwere, vakapora.
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 Naizvozvo Ishe shure kwekunge ataura kwavari, akagamuchirwa kumusoro kudenga, akagara kuruoko rwerudyi rwaMwari.
So then after the Lord had spoken to them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 Avo vakabuda, vakaparidza kwese-kwese, Ishe achibata navo, achisimbisa shoko nezviratidzo zvaitevera. Amen.
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with [them], and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
