Књига пророка Језекиља 15

1 Опет ми дође реч Господња говорећи:

And the word of the Lord was maad to me,

2 Сине човечји, шта је дрво од лозе винове према сваком другом дрвету, или лоза винова према дрвећу у шуми?

and he seide, Sone of man, what schal be don to the tre of a vyne, of alle the trees of woodis, that ben among the trees of woodis?

3 Узима ли се од ње дрво да се начини шта? Узима ли се од ње клин да се обеси о њему какав суд?

Whether tymbre schal be takun therof, that werk be maad? ether shal a stake be maad therof, that ony vessel hange ther onne?

4 Гле, меће се у огањ да изгори; кад јој оба краја сажеже огањ, и средина јој изгори, хоће ли још бити за шта?

Lo! it is youun in to mete; fier wastide euer eithir part therof, and the myddis therof is dryuun in to deed sparcle; whether it schal be profitable to werk?

5 Гле, док беше цела, не могаше се ништа од ње начинити, а камо ли ће бити за шта кад је огањ прождре и изгоре.

Yhe, whanne it was hool, it was not couenable to werk; hou myche more whanne fier hath deuourid, and hath brent it, no thing of werk schal be maad therof?

6 Зато овако вели Господ Господ: Какво је међу дрветима шумским дрво од винове лозе, које дадох огњу да га једе, тако ћу учинити становнике јерусалимске.

Therfor the Lord God seith thes thingis, As the tre of a vyne is among the trees of woodis, which Y yaf to fier to deuoure, so Y yaf the dwelleris of Jerusalem,

7 Јер ћу им на супрот окренути лице своје; кад изиђу из једног огња, други ће их огањ прождрети, и познаћете да сам ја Господ, кад окренем лице своје на супрот њима.

and Y schal sette my face ayens hem. Thei schulen go out of the fier, and fier schal waaste hem; and ye schulen wite, that Y am the Lord, whanne Y schal sette my face ayens hem,

8 И обратићу земљу у пустињу, јер учинише неверу, говори Господ Господ.

and schal yyue the lond with out weie and desolat, for thei weren trespassours, seith the Lord God.
